Went on holiday with a large group of family and friends. In total there were 29 of us in total. There were numerous children also. One of the main attractions for booking were the entertainment animation team for kids and the water parks. Unfortunately there was not much in the way of entertainment, to the point of being none existent. We asked one hotel employee who had a t-shirt on displaying Andalou Animation emblazened on it what they do in the way of entertainment for children. As we were not approached or given information on what was available on a daily basis. We were told they have a children's play room they can go to. A few of children went along. They were not impressed and didn't return. The water park slides were not all available as a few were out of order. This wasn't conveyed when booking. Fortunately it was all available the last few days we were there. We were there for nine days. The food was ok. Slightly bland but there was a variety to choose from. I loved their square pancakes and hot chocolate. Tasted like it cinnamon in it. The kids enjoyed pizza and pasta. New year. :( The bar normally closes at 11pm. As it was new years eve we assumed it "may" stay open to cheer the new year in. However we placed an order of drinks at 10.35 pm. The order didn't arrive. At 11.00 I went to enquire as to what happened to our order. We were told the bar was was now closed. We informed bar staff that we placed an order before 11pm and it did not arrive. We were ignored. I was annoyed by that as it wasn't our fault. Even with the assumption that they may stay open until 12 we still placed the order order before closing time. This wasn't fair and it seemed to fall on deaf ears. I saw the bar the man the following day and asked what happened. He denied all knowledge of the order being placed with him. Liar! I would like to say that I and the other members of the group had a fantastic bar man called Isham. He was wonderful and a very pleasant guy. He made sure he brought our drinks where we were sitting. Other bar staff would tell us we had to collect a large amount of drinks from the bar. He was always accommodating. Thank you Isham :) They wanted us to go into the disco (that they played music from YouTube) to purchase drinks that were expensive. Lucky most of us purchased drinks from Duty Free. We all collected our drinks from our room and had a fantastic night. We all danced until 3am. Other guests joined in and we all had a fantastic night. Birthday 🎂 On the holiday one member of the group had a birthday on the 02/01/2018. We purchased a cake cheaper than the hotel wanted to charge us and other decorative bits. We asked the hotel if they'd store the cake over night. They wanted 40DH for that! We put in ominous our fridge in rooms. On the night of the birthday we decorated the room next to the bar. We were told this was to noisy for guest. However if we wanted to continue they would allow us to providing we paid 200DH each adult. Guests who were in the room and joined in the birthday celebrations were outraged as we all were. We then had to remove the birthday cake and take it to our rooms. Horrid! Money grabbing behaviour. I wouldn't advise coming here. Luckily for us we had a great group with let's get on with it attitude regardless. Others might not be so lucky.

Hotel a bit dated. However the staff here work incredibly hard Nadia from guest relations was always happy to help and checking on us. The animation crew fantastic Catalina the two Senegalese men actually all of them were so much fun they even joined us for meals and they always asked 1st. we all enjoyed joining their performances as a family including the baby! Food was good and always hot plenty of selection. Not much desserts and fruits. Loved that you get served drinks when dining. Cocktails are hit and miss. However, I always insisted on afresh made cocktails. The Children pool was heated my two kids enjoyed playing there and my12 year old loved the waterpark although some slides where shut. The creche was also good for my 16month old although i had to stay to supervise her. Rooms are spacious however on day one the socket was pulled out of the wall. Reported and was fixed in half am hour! For a 5* I expected robes and slippers so didnt carry any.no kettles for making hot drinks, ironing boards and iron and the fridge are empty even on all inc. Corridors are very dark and beautiful gardens. Felt very safe here we ventured to the medina and Guleiz unaccompanied. hotel offers free shuttle but need to book in advance. Would go back if there had more restaurants and tea coffee making facilities esp with children.

Prior to my visit I had read many negative reports and I will be honest I was concerned about my stay but I am pleased to say I had nothing to be worried about. My review will be honest about my findings and expectations of Eden Andalou spa resort. The hotel itself is about 10k from the airport and a little further from the city itself, buses run from 9am til 8pm every 2 hours and need to be booked in advance, the journey is about 20mins. The reception is beautiful and leads into Terrace with the views of the Atlas Mountains in the distance. the reception staff were always friendly and happy to do anything for us, late checkout til 3pm was 20dirham. There is a guest relations If you wish to book any trips etc. The rooms are adequate, they class them as suites but really they are large rooms with a curtain across the front section where you can lay on a day bed and look into the gardens. There were comments of them being dirty, this was not my experience, the woodwork is a little tired and the finish a bit amateur but they are fine. The safe locked ok and so did our front door as there were comments about that too, what didn’t lock was the patio doors but we never left anything on view and I felt safe here. The spa is in a different building and you have to pay for a gym pass which is 100dirham and the indoor pool was 150dirham (I believe) the pool was not really for swimming in as it isn’t that big. We had a Hammam for 400 dirham and it was well worth it, I’ve never felt so clean and relaxed. There are 2 restaurants this time of year, the (self service) and a la Carte which you get an 80dirham credit for. The main restaurant was ok, as there wasn’t many guests food tended to get cold quickly and it wasn’t really to my taste, but it was interesting, varied and plentiful. The staff were lovely and always happy to have a chat which made my evenings, there were suited staff members milling around which I assume were managers but they made no effort to engage with the clients. There were few clientele here which was great as you never felt over crowded, it is quiet so if you are after night life then maybe look elsewhere, this is a perfect resort if you want to relax, the weather is warm but as soon as the sun goes down you need to grab a jacket. The exchange rate in reception is more favourable here than at the airport The water park is closed this time of year

Worst holiday i ever been too. Receptionist was rude and never there, you always had to wait so long for someone to greet you. Food was disgusting, it was same food everyday my kids couldnt eat. The pool was cold even the heated pool. Decided to take the kids to indoor pool so they can swim but no under 12 my kids was 1 and 4 so they wasn’t allowed to swim and u had to pay if u wanted too which is £15 a day, which is ridiculous. Play area for kids was constantly closed! My kids didnt get to have fun. Not a 5* hotel, seems like a 3* I paid £3000 for 5nights and its the worst holiday i ever been too. The only good thing about this place is their room is big and bed is spacious
