Es Saadi Marrakech Resort - Palace in Marrakech, Morocco

Nestled on 20 lush acres in the heart of Marrakesh, the Es Saadi Gardens & Resort couples refined luxury with traditional Moroccan hospitality in a setting as memorable for its lavish accommodations as the verdant park grounds on which it lies. Pathways pleasantly shaded by bougainvillea, palm, eucalyptus, orange and lemon trees lead to the hotel, where 150 rooms, including 15 suites infuse modern amenities with natural charm. Or stay in the opulent Palace, where 92 spacious suites plus 8 deluxe Ksars have been sumptuously appointed by master local craftsmen and offer views of the stunning snow-capped Atlas Mountains. For a vacation worthy of Arabian royalty, reserve one of 10 magnificent Villas, each singularly designed and decorated in themed Oriental architecture, and each accoutered with an exotic garden, heated swimming pool, personal butler and buggy service throughout the property.

All of Es Saadi's accommodations offer access to the entire resort, including six restaurants, two pools and two spas. After the decadent breakfast buffet at Jardin d'Hiver, you won't even have to change out of your swimsuit to dine on delicious light lunch fare at Autour de la Piscine. Refuel after an invigorating visit to the Palace Spa with salutary slow food from Bio du Bled. For dinner, choose from classic French cuisine at Restaurant Gastronomique, hearty Mediterranean at Lagon & Jardin or traditional Moroccan at La Cours des Lions. Or dine on regional dishes by candlelight at the Moroccan Dinner Show while acrobats, musicians, snake charmers and belly dancers perform for your delight. The centerpiece of the resort, of course, is the world-famous Casino de Marrakech, fully renovated in 2011 with classy gaming tables and state-of-the-art slot machines. The casino is the center of the city's hot nightlife and home to the Theatro Night Club, which hosts the best DJs in the world. Es Saadi means "the happy one," which you will be after an unforgettable stay here.

The paradise on the Earth. Very good hotel. There is a lovely woman at there on the name of FATIHA she is so lovely, she will do anything she can for guests and she is so kind. We stayed at one of their imaginary villas and the quality of service was very good. The staffs are well trained and specialist on their part. Hope to come back soon

Driving to the Es Saadi, we passed the Sofitel, where many luxury cars were parked and which looks impressive from the outside, and arrived at our hotel, which looked rather run down in comparison. Bad choice, we thought. But we were proven wrong. The inside looks like a luxury hotel with the ambiance of an Arab palace. The decor of the rooms is more classical Italian, but nice. They are very large, not only our suite, but also the regular rooms. Everything was in working order. W-LAN is free and very fast. Excellent housekeeping. A few nice suprises here and there that are signs of good hospitality. Service varies, depending on the wait staff. The wait for the food around the pool can be quite long at times. Service during breakfast is spotty too, and some of the staff. ould be a bit more friendly. On the other hand, dinner service at the excellent Cour de Lions is very good. Same applies to El Saadi at the Saadi Hotel. The Spa is large and nice, with a lot of different Sauna options. And the pool is very large as well and nicely laid out. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay. If you are looking for an Arab style grand hotel in walking distance to the main square, but with a spacious resort feeling, the El Saadi Palace ranks among the top choices in Marrakech.

Went for a long weekend and these would be our key observations Positives - lovely large clean pool with no chemicals - nice large rooms but missing coffee and tea - gardens are well kept relaxing with lots of shade if need it - nice Moroccan restaurant had excellent meal - Hotel location good as can walk in to the old part if want to but not too noisy at night Negatives - no drinks on arrival a miss for first impressions ....left hanging about to process passports and credit cards - breakfast fairly basic in choice and random process to be seated or not. Seems staff have to rush in and out of building to get everything making service ineffective - gym was very warm and air conditioning not working - main gripe was the food and drinks service around the pool. Had to wait 30 mins for drinks to arrive having to order twice. Next day went to order directly from the bar and still 15 mins to get drinks. Lots of staff with headphones but shocking service. Again having staff run over bridges to get back to the bar a poor design if want better service. No one asked us for a drink while we sat round the pool for 3 days. - managers in suits stroll around looking like FBI agents but don't seem to notice the obvious frustrations of the customers In summary it is a nice hotel let down by poor service outside not helped by poor design layout with staff having to walk too far to get a spoon glass or anything you might need.

Our fifth visit to this hotel in the Spring. From the moment you are met at the airport until your return you are truly spoilt. All the staff go out of their way to look after you. Breakfast in the magnificent gardens is a delight with so many things to choose from. The suites are comfortable and large. The gardens are beautifully kept with warm extensive swimming pools. The gastronomic restaurant has a very varied menu and excellent service. In short although Marrakech centre is within walking distance with so much to see it is hard to drag oneself away from the hotel!
