Reviews for Le Palais Paysan

Secluded Serene and Relaxing

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 9 months ago

We stayed only 24 hours in Le Palais Paysan and regret we did not spend there mire days of our holidays! Booked ut as it turned that our holidays could last day longer than originally planned and last minute we added that stay there. Ot is the most picturesque and unique stay in the Marrakesh area. The secluded location in the elevated rural area makes you feel that you truly go away from the noise and buzz of the Medina. The view of all of the Atlas mountain chain, horses, wild birds and very green and well maintained hotel with great relaxing swimming pool loads of area to walk, beautiful scenery and horse stables. You can horse ride, go for horse trek outside the hotel and enjoy the silence of this retreat. Staff is amazing and super attentive. Rooms are immaculate and have very pleasant decor and the remarkable mountain view and dark starry skies. Foood we ate in the local restaurant was delightful and considering that you do not have any other option to dine in the local area, very reasonably priced and definately worth it. We even had a company of the friendly domesticated partridge that live in the hotel! Offcourse staff doesn't allow the bird to just come over to you unless you express you are happy for it to join you and walk nearby and talk to you while you dine and you can toss it few seeds. Before arriving we opt for the transfer from airport to the hotel. We send an email with the request and never received any onfirmation or acknowledgement of the request. Despite that driver was waiting for us just outside the arrivals with a printed laminated card with the name of the hotel. No response from hotel got us a bit worried on the way to Marrakesh however the service was there and was great. We really enjoyed our short dash into that serene and comforting space. Strongly recommend!

Superb place to stay. Very relaxing and amazing staff. Stayed 3 nights and tried different meals. All of them good but not great. Could also need some small extra games, puzzels for guests to enjoy when weather is a bit bad. But this is a great place to relax with the mountains in the back drop.

‘Natural Beauty’

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed April 23, 2023

After several Covid years, we visited our beloved Le Paysan again. And it was like all other times a real homecoming for us. The place has a unique location complete surrounded by natural beauty . The peacefull hills gardens are perfect for walking and relaxing. We had a fine room highfloor with 2 terrases and an awful view. If you love animals you are here on the right place. Beautful arabic horses, donkeys , and everywhere sheaps and goats. The rooms are very clean, and comfortable decorated. Bathroom rather small and simple but very good working. Because of ramadan whe we’re several days the only guests, wich we loved very much. The surprising good and very tasty food of breakfast, lunch and diner was really a plus. Only the evening diner card was very small, so If you stay 10 days like we did, you sometimes have a desire for something different. But anyway we have had lovely salads, tajines, pasta’s etc and a real compliment for the Chef cook and his team. We enjoyed these days the friendship and great hospitality from the entire staff. A fantastic reception team with Hamada and Merhiam, and the so warm and friendly attention and talks with Said , Brahim, Hussein an Said 2. The poolside is a real beauty, very well kept and spotless clean, enough sunbeds and shadow places. The view from the pool to the snowy peaks of the Atlas is memorable. For me personal the water was a litlle to much chloric smell, but that is just a small detail. We had a massage and pedicure at the welness, done by a very professional and kind lady , I think her name was Rabbiah ? So overall we have had a great stay again,. The place is a litlle corner of paradise, and a perfect spot for people who want to relax on a place far away from the noisy crowds and crazyness of Marrakech, and that only a half hour drive from the red City. Shoekran to all our Le Paysan friends, and for sure we will come back . Igo van Hoof and Stefan van Loock Belgium

Beautiful hotel in a stunning location

What an absolutely gorgeous experience our stay at this hotel was. It's hidden away a 40 minute drive from Marrakech, very much off the beaten track in a spectacular setting with the most amazing views of the Atlas Mountains and total peace and tranquility. We were greeted warmly and welcomed with delicious complimentary mint tea and pastries before a tour of the grounds and our room. Decor throughout the hotel is beautiful and our room was huge with plenty of storage, a big comfy bed, wonderful shower and very good air conditioning. The grounds, garden and pool area are immaculately looked after and we loved that there were not only sunbeds but plenty of poolside cabanas at no extra charge - excellent for enjoying the warmth in the shade. Due to the location there are no external restaurants but we found that the hotel restaurant was lovely, especially the outdoor terrace which looked out to the mountains and the starry skies at night. The reasonably priced menu offered plenty of choice for a two night stay, with nightly tagine specials. The food was fresh, authentic and delicious and we enjoyed trying various Moroccan specialities. Breakfast was also plentiful, with loads of tasty pastries, homemade vanilla yoghurt and fresh omelettes cooked to order. All of the hotel staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful and kindly assisted us in booking airport transfers and a hot air balloon trip. Highly recommend staying here for a couple of nights either before or after a couple of days in Marrakech as it was a lovely combination and great to experience both the city and the rural areas.

Simply Amazing

Probably up there with one of the best hotels we have stayed in. Beautiful location with amazing service. Everything was kept immaculate and attention to detail was great. We had a hire car to get here and glad we opted for an SUV as the roads can be tricky otherwise. Highly recommended.
