Reviews for Riad Kniza
I've stayed at many hotels around the world . Raid Kniza is definitely one of my top favorites . We reserved two rooms and both were incredible clean. I was even looking for dust and couldn't find any. Hospitality was incredible. The atmosphere here was so inviting I had a hard time getting family to leave the hotel. If I could rate this hotel higher I would. Thanks staff for all you did.
Room (and room service) was excellent with a spacious bedroom and closet with enough hangers - which is often a problem in hotels. Breakfast was delicious and diverse, we loved the possibility to have it anywhere we wanted. The terrace and pool are a good choice! We highly recommend the Hamam with the beautiful and talented young lady who was very professional. A special highlight is the museum and including shop across the Riad. It shows the owner's private collection of stunning artwork and handicrafts. You are also able to purchase exclusive leather goods, rugs, jewellry and cosmetics! Not to forget is the collection of modern caftans and blouses designed by the owner's daughter - her name is (of course) Kniza. What a beautiful gesture! Thanks to the staff of Riad Kniza for having us!

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 7 nights in the Royal Suite which was absolutely huge, amazing and definitely worth the money. The staff here are on another level of helpfulness. They will book your excursions, restaurants and transfers to make your break away that much more easier. We ran into trouble with our baggage as it got left behind in Charles de Gaulle airport. However we did receive it two days later and the people at reception helped us a lot by making phone calls and checking the progress of the situation. No matter who was on the reception at the time they knew our situation. This tells me they have really good communication with each other. Sometimes in the morning we would be in a hurry to leave the Riad so the room would be left a bit messy but when we returned it was absolutely immaculate. The cleaning lady would even fold my clothes which is such a nice gesture. Food from the Riad is also quite nice. The breakfast each morning was typically your Moroccan style breakfast (egg, fruit, yoghurt, pastries, mint tea). The dinner is mainly tagine which is also nice (particularly the fish tagine). The Riad is located down a small alley a very short walk into the souks. When we first arrived we were taken back at how crazy everything was around us walking from the taxi to the Riad but once inside you forget how hustle and bustle everything is outside. I found that people knew we were staying in the Riad so we didn't really get bothered by people in the souks close to the Riad. Even one kid sitting at his shop would always shout over to me and my girlfriend whenever we got out of a taxi "Riad Kniza" with a wave. The owner of the Riad, Mohamed is such a nice man and seems to be well known in Marrakech. He used to be a walking tour guide for any big stars that visited Marrakech. One day he had us follow him into a building directly across from the Riad which is actually a museum he is currently working on and will open soon. It was nice to see his collection of artefacts and other memorabilia from Moroccan history. Another thing to point out is that the Riad only has 11 rooms so your stay will be made a lot more personal. The architecture and interior is so Moroccan and for this reason I wouldn't stay in your run of the mill hotel because this is the true Moroccan experience.
Without doubt Riad Kniza is a very nice place to stay during your vocation in Marrakech, The room is very clean and very huge, The food is very delicious, The view from the terace is fantastic, the people there are so friendly and helpful by explaining us the most interesting places to visit. I and my husband really want to thank everybody in this Riad and saying to them that we promise you guys to visit you soon. High recomended !

From several weeks before arrival, we knew we were in the capable hands of Simo, Samira, and the rest of the Riad Kniza team. They took care of our every possible need and want: from desert trek excursions to luxurious rose petal baths after hours of negotiating the markets. Fresh breakfast on the terrace? Done. Need a salty Mediterranean snack at 2am? Done. Cant find your way back to that pottery vendor? No problem. Spectacular decor, invisible room attendants that magically organize your room on a moments notice. An owner who proudly invited us for tea and a preview of his wife's collection of Moroccan treasures and his daughter's couture designer threads. This Riad is perfectly situated on the outer rim of the Medina. As a frequent solo traveler (although not this time), I can add that it is both safe and inviting. Our biggest fear was that given the collection of celebrity photographs in the library-- George Clooney may come around the corner and catch us in a bathing suit. We would be back time and time again. Enjoy!
