This really is a lovely property, fabulously ornate Moroccan design and associated geometry, fabrics, tiling, antique furniture, etc. All within the walls of the medina but close to one of the gates where you can get taxis/meet drivers when venturing outside to the new city and surrounds. The main part of the souk is about a 10min walk, the main square a little further. Didn’t have dinner in the Riad itself but did across at the Terrasse Des Arts opposite, where the food was excellent and the rooftop terrace a lovely setting. Breakfast in the Riad (continental moroccan) was tasty and plentiful and you can opt to have in the ornate dining room, your room, or on the roof terrace. It’s the same each morning - so if you were staying a few days you may want to go out for breakfast once or twice for something different. It’s an historic Riad dating from the 1700’s (even had to use a padlock to lock the traditional cedarwood double door of my ground floor room) so of course don’t expect the high tech/spec of a modern 5* hotel, But do stay here to stylishly elevate your authentic Moroccan experience.

This place was absolutely amazing! My wife and I stayed there at the beginning and end of our Moroccan tour and it was far and away the most beautiful and accomodating place we stayed! The Riad is breathtaking as soon as you walk in the door and the staff / accomodations are fanastic. The place was spotless, the rooms were beautiful and spacious, and just a short walk to the souks! Highly recommend taking your breakfast on the rooftop - wonderful way to start your day!

This beautiful, peaceful riad was the highlight stay of our trip. With so many places to sit quietly by a fountain or pool or up on the expansive roof terrace, it was relaxing and calm. The rooms were lovely (we stayed twice), and the service was very friendly and immaculate; we felt like all we had to do was think "tea" or "coffee" and a tray would appear with hot drinks and Moroccan cookies. We also had lovely breakfasts on the roof, and delicious soup and tagine on our last night with a nice glass of Moroccan wine. Not only that, but we were right in the medina, minutes from souks and restaurants (Terrasse Des Arts is literaly next door). Our thanks to all the staff and to Travel Exploration Morocco for booking!

We enjoyed every moment of our stay. Located inside the Medina but cannot hear any noise at all. Beautiful Riad, architecture, decorations and fixtures are so artistic. Rooftop breakfast is delicious and peaceful. Bed is very comfortable. Staff are welcoming. Thank you Mr. Mohammed ( the owner) for taking time out of your busy schedule to show us your museum collections. It was an unforgettable experience spending our time at Riad Kniza!

Incredible comfort in this beautiful Moroccan riad. The hotel is in an authentic historical building in excellent condition. The rooms are extremely well appointed and decorated in fine Moroccan fabrics. The rooftop lounge is an excellent place to relax or enjoy a meal. The hotel’s restaurant serves an excellent array of local cuisines. The staff is by far some of the best. Highly recommend.

We visited Marrakesh in September and stayed at the Riad Kniza, a recently renovated boutique hotel in the Medina with gorgeous examples of Moroccan architecture. Our two-story suite was furnished with exquisite antiques and beautiful Moroccan rugs. The staff at this family-owned and run establishment was attentive and caring. Our stay was characterized by an attention to detail that made our first visit to Morocco a memorable one and assured a return visit.

The Medina of Marrakesh is possibly the most alive place I have ever been (New York is a quiet garden compared to it). But the Riad Kniza and the great family that regents it is a wonderful oasis of peace, kindness and Moroccan style luxury. Their vocation to service was incredible! Go there, enjoy the red city and relax. I will come back.

Riad Kniza is a truly beautiful place in a fascinating city. The wonderful, personal service is second to none. The best stay we've ever had in Marrakech, and we've been many times. Absolutely first class in every sense.
