A beautiful Hidden Treasure

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 17 hours ago

It is difficult to find something to say that hasn't already been said about this amazing family run Riad. Therefore a few words which I hope will encourage you to book and go and experience for yourself. What a beautiful calm oasis in the heart of the Medina . A gorgeous sanctuary after a full on, busy and noisy day wandering the streets and souks. The staff team, kind, helpful and always smiling. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooftop space perfect for relaxing with a drink in the evening as the call to prayer echoes around the neighbourhood. Food incredible and very generous servings; almost too much, however we were pleased to hear nothing is wasted so any un eaten food is offered to people living on the streets. Mr Mohamed (the owner) is often around the Riad and always happy to share stories and his extensive knowledge of Moroccan culture and history. A visit to the museum across the lane with Mr Mohamed is a must. We loved Riad Kniza, it is far more than a place to stay, it is a place to experience, to take time and cherish. We hope to visit again

Peaceful Perfection

Arrived for a 2day stay after our tour ended and right from the time the door was opened it was wow wow wow. The riad is a calm peaceful space after the rush and bustle of 2 previous days exploring Marrakech. The rooms we traditional in decor of a riad ,the beds extremely comfortable with great quality bed linen. The breakfast was nice and you could have it in a multitude of locations within the riad. We also ate both evenings in the riad and again the food was delicious and as we experienced throughout Morocco, plentiful. The day before we left i experienced the hamam and massage, it was very well done and extremely relaxing before we began our long journey home. The thing that for us was most outstanding in Riad Kniza was the staff nothing was to much and they were happy to chat and do whatever they could to ensure your total enjoyment. Special note goes to the evening staff at table service which would not be out of place in a Michelin starred establishment. We'll done all at Riad Kniza and thanks for having us.

Luxury and Peace in the Medina

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Riad Kniza is pure magic — a jewel in the heart of Marrakech that perfectly blends historic Moroccan elegance with modern luxury. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like honored guests rather than hotel visitors. The staff’s warmth and attention to detail made our stay truly exceptional. The riad itself is stunning: intricately carved woodwork, glowing lanterns, and peaceful courtyards filled with the scent of orange blossoms. Our suite was spacious, immaculate, and beautifully decorated — every corner radiates quiet sophistication. The rooftop terrace was our favorite spot for breakfast and evening tea, with panoramic views over the Medina and the Atlas Mountains in the distance. What sets Riad Kniza apart, though, is its people. Every member of the team was gracious, kind, and eager to make our stay perfect. They anticipated our needs before we even asked — arranging transportation, recommending hidden gems for shopping, and preparing a romantic dinner under candlelight that we’ll never forget. Breakfasts were divine: fresh fruit, Moroccan pancakes, homemade jams, and the best mint tea we’ve ever had. It’s easy to see why so many travelers call this riad a “home away from home.” If you’re looking for an authentic yet luxurious Marrakech experience, Riad Kniza is simply unbeatable. We left with full hearts and can’t wait to return.

Besutiful Riad. Had dinner there. Straters and desert was good. My main, lamp tajine was a bit chewy and not hot enough when received.

We visited Marrakesh in September and stayed at the Riad Kniza, a recently renovated boutique hotel in the Medina with gorgeous examples of Moroccan architecture. Our two-story suite was furnished with exquisite antiques and beautiful Moroccan rugs. The staff at this family-owned and run establishment was attentive and caring. Our stay was characterized by an attention to detail that made our first visit to Morocco a memorable one and assured a return visit.

The Medina of Marrakesh is possibly the most alive place I have ever been (New York is a quiet garden compared to it). But the Riad Kniza and the great family that regents it is a wonderful oasis of peace, kindness and Moroccan style luxury. Their vocation to service was incredible! Go there, enjoy the red city and relax. I will come back.

Riad Kniza is a truly beautiful place in a fascinating city. The wonderful, personal service is second to none. The best stay we've ever had in Marrakech, and we've been many times. Absolutely first class in every sense.
