Reviews for Riad Kniza
It's difficult to mention all of the things that this Riad does right, but I will try. First they take care of all of the pre-arrival issues such as airport pickup. Upon arrival you are greeted by a friendly and smiling staff that for the next few days will make everything easy for you. When you get to your room you will find space and comfort in Moroccan style. Everything is thoughtfully provided including, in my room, a built in adapter and charger for your electronics. Wifi was great and they even had a cell phone in the room you could take outside to assist in an emergency if your own did not work. The wonderful staff helped with all details including helping you locate and haggle the price of a taxi! The owner Mohamed is outgoing, generous with his time, and knows the area and best things to see. An owner can make or break a small business and this owner makes the experience perfection!! In summary, from the helpful and always smiling faces of every member of the staff and with an owner that helps you in every way , to the spacious and sumptuous rooms, you are made to feel like royalty and yet it's as warm and familiar as being in your own home. There may be a few more spectacular hotels in Marrakesh but you will not find a more fantastic overall experience than at the Riad Kniza!!

Riad Kniza is a luxurious haven hidden in the busy Medina of Marrakesh. This meticulously restored riad has just 11 rooms and the highest standards of service. Breakfast is an elaborate display of Moroccan delicacies, served at your choice on the rooftop terrace or in your room. The restaurant is more authentically Moroccan than any others we found in Morocco. We found the "Handy" phone provided by the hotel to be invaluable in navigating the Medina - this was a huge plus! Mohammed, the owner of the riad, has a lovely Moroccan/Berber gallery and gift shop, and his personal tour (complete with stories) was a real treat.

We had a very welcoming experience with the Riad Kniza. Great dinner, romantic hammam and spacious room. Breakfast is predominantly sweet and lacks a bit of originality when you stay here for seven nights like we did. The staff is very friendly and sympathetic, sometimes mix up scheduled appointments but that is always easy to manage. All in all a very luxurious Riad stay! If we come back in the summer months, Riad Kniza will be on our list! Thank you!
From the moment we arrived we were treated like honoured house guests. The Riad itself is beautifully set out from the delightful roof garden to the spa, pool, restaurant and elegant bedrooms. Most of all the level of service provided by the owner and all of the staff was of the highest order. The restaurant had a limited menu but the food and wine were good and reasonably priced. It was almost worth making the trip just to enjoy the excellent breakfasts, served in your room at no extra cost, if you wished. Rely on the staff to advise you of the best trips and things to do.

Riad Kniza was even better than we could have imagined. The service was amazing making us feel comfortable and luxurious. The riad itself provided a beautiful quiet oasis as an escape from the exciting souks and crowded winding streets just outside - so we were able to wander and explore the Médina while easily retreating to our beautiful private space. The breakfast was decadent and delicious every day, and we loved eating up on the roof terrace to soak in some sun. We still talk about the eggs served in a tagine that we had on our first day! The wonderful staff were very accommodating and helped us every step of the way. A driver met us at the airport and brought us/our bags straight to the riad with no problem, they organized our day-trip to the Atlas Mountains and took into consideration our desire to ride camels at sunset (which was amazing!), they gave advice on restaurants and things to see, when the owner was around he let us pop in to his museum of Berber antiquities just across the alley, and on our last night they even set us up with a roaring fire in our room’s fireplace. In addition to special attention and luxury, the experience felt very Moroccan! From the food to the aesthetic of the riad, and the live music in the courtyard each evening - it felt very authentic. I hope to come back and recommend anyone looking for romance or a cultural getaway stay at riad Kniza!
