Selman Marrakech

Our stay at Selman Marrakech was absolutely unforgettable. The food was amazing—beautifully presented and full of flavor. The service was impeccable from start to finish; every staff member went above and beyond to make us feel special. The concierge team helped us arrange everything—from dinner reservations and a magical hot air balloon experience to an unforgettable dinner in the Sahara Desert. Their attention to detail and genuine care made the entire trip effortless and luxurious. The horses were spectacular—truly majestic and a highlight of the property. Everyone we met was warm, professional, and friendly, creating such a welcoming atmosphere. The spa was incredible—peaceful, elegant, and rejuvenating. Selman Marrakech is not just a hotel; it’s an experience of pure elegance, beauty, and Moroccan hospitality at its finest. Highly recommended for anyone looking for true luxury and soul in Marrakech.

The Selman is a spectacular hotel. fabulous architecture, lovely rooms, good gym, lovey restaurants. The service in the Terrace restaurant was excellent and Azil, the head concierge, was wonderful, booking taxis and even lending us his extra phone so that we could navigate the souks when our phones failed to get signal. However, for a five star hotel which charges a great deal for a stay, the service in many areas was very much below expectations. Firstly, we were kept waiting an inordinate amount of time at check in and then, we were taken to an already occupied room. We then had to wait a further twenty minutes in a corridor while the receptionist went in search of the correct key. She provided no room orientation. On the second day, housekeeping were making up the room for the first time that day at 5.30 pm! Amenities, such as tissues and shower gel were not replaced and the gel ran out during our stay. Receptionists regularly asked us of we were checking in when we were going in and out of the hotel. The pool attendant was very friendly first thing, but, despite there being three or four people on duty all day, they simply stood around and never proactively asked guests if they would like drinks. At breakfast, there were often no plates and it was difficult to get a cereal spoon every day and tables were not cleared. We had a waiter for the first three days who was completely confused and when asked if there were any almonds, in both English and French, brought first an omelette and then three types of coffee. Things improved when the deputy manager stepped in. Maybe we were just unlucky, but the Selman has real work to do in these areas to justify the price and to ensure it is really does provide a five star experience.

The Selman gets everything right - the luxury, the comfort, the service, the food, the spa, the staff, the location.....all perfect! There is so much space to relax and enjoy and everyone is so friendly and helpful. We booked an incredible balloon flight with them, it was a magical experience. The Sunday buffet is out of this world. I return here again and again because it is simply wonderful :)

From the moment you arrive, the Selman Hotel takes your breath away. The property is absolutely beautiful – from the stunning design to the peaceful atmosphere, every detail is immaculate. This was my fifth visit, and once again, the staff made it unforgettable. Every single team member is warm, professional, and genuinely cares about your experience. A few people deserve special mention: • Saad at the gym provided incredible advice and guidance and even trained with me during my stay. As an athlete, I’ve had a lot of fitness and health advice over the years, but his knowledge and approach were among the very best I’ve ever experienced. The two sessions we had were a real highlight of my trip. • Khalil at the pool bar has looked after me on every one of my five visits. He always remembers my name and past conversations, making me and my wife feel truly special every time we return. • Abdelaadim and the Sabol Restaurant team were outstanding – the service was exceptional, and the food was among the best we’ve eaten in Marrakech. Every meal felt special and perfectly presented. • Taha Reda at Terrasse Restaurant recommended Sabol to us and went out of his way to ensure we had a reservation. He also took the time to chat with us and offer kind compliments, making us feel genuinely welcome and appreciated. • The young tall gentleman at reception recognised me from previous visits and was, as always, incredibly polite and helpful – a great first and last impression every time. • And finally, the spa team – there isn’t a better spa in the world in my opinion. Having travelled to over 50 countries, I can honestly say it’s the most relaxing place I’ve ever been. The staff are exceptional, and the quality of the massage and treatments is truly world-class. The service throughout the hotel is consistently world-class, and that’s why I keep coming back. If you’re visiting Marrakech and want a luxurious, relaxing, and truly memorable stay, the Selman is unbeatable.

I can’t enthuse enough about the Selman Marrakesh. From the very first moment my sister and I walked in, we were treated like royalty and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. They organised spa treatments (the best I’ve ever had - try the Hammam Evasion treatment !! ) guided excursions - to The Atlas Mountains and the nearby souks and a chance to see life outside the hotel which was vibrant , buzzing and exciting. I am now in love with Morocco and cannot wait to come back thanks so much Selman Marrakesh !
