Selman Marrakech in Marrakech, Morocco

Named after an Arabian stud who founded a line of thoroughbreds, the family-owned Selman Marrakech opened in 2013. State-of-the art technology hides discreetly behind Moorish design elements like Zellige tile, preserving the regal ambience of a sumptuous Berber palace. French architect Jacques Garcia also designed the accommodations housing the family's collection of Arabians.

Tour the stables and enjoy daily equestrian show. Sip champagne beside the heated 80-meter pool at the heart of the property and then sashay into the Selman restaurant for exceptional service amid an atmosphere of modern Andalusian decadence.

A beautiful luxury, family owned hotel offers horse riding etc. experience. It is pretty unique and standing out from other luxury hotels in Marrakech. There are lots of details here you can take a closer look. Such as all the moroccan tiles in the bathroom are hand-built. That is probably why the hotel took 5 years to finish. Did I say the swimming pool is 80 metres? So good! 有幸在摩洛哥王国体验了 “塞尔曼马拉喀什” 五星级度假酒店。(英文:Selman Marrakech Resort and Hotel). (Horse whispers anyone?) 在塞尔曼五星级大酒店内,装饰用的纯手工摩洛哥瓷砖是由工匠们亲手一块一块镶嵌在地上和墙上的,整个工程耗费了5年时间打造。

We spent the day here relaxing by the pool during our latest girl trip to Marrakech. It was the last day of our trip so this was the perfect place to spent it. Very peaceful and the service is amazing. The surrounding was beautiful and the lunch delicious! Will definitely come back here during my next trip to Marrakech!

We had our honeymoon here late Oct 17. I’ve been very lucky to stay at a few 5* rated hotels (mainly through work) but this was an experience that was truly memorable. From day 1 the service was impeccable, especially the concierges. We effectively came with no plan, but they arranged everything (guided city tour, atlas mountain hiking plus a lovely table at Richard Branson’s hotel, quad biking and golf) for us with the minimum of fuss. The food wasn’t cheap but very good quality and we also had some lovely meals on our balcony over looking the pool. For animal lovers (my wife), the free to roam stables, the stable master (can have lessons) and the beautiful horses on site is someone unique to the hotel and well worthwhile. All in all, not cheap but well worth the price. Also, for those looking to relax, the fact that it is a 10mins drive away from the hustle and bustle of the medina is a perfect distance away. We’ll definitely be back!

Having travelled the 4 corners of the world we are still impressed how beauty is Maroc, which is at its best at Selman. This is our second time at Selman and it won't be the last one. Definitely one of the best hotel we have ever seen, where luxury and tradition come together. Maryline & Enrico

We spent seven days in Marrakech. The first four were at the Aman which was a mistake (see my review on that). We wished we had spent all seven days at the Selman. Frankly, we were not expecting much. We were there for a small conference. The grounds are beautiful. We had a suite which had two balconies. It was spacious, with high ceilings. The staff was friendly and attentive. The owner was always around checking that things were correct. The owner's son has Arabian show horses and they could be visited. Really beautiful animals. We only at at the French restaurant which was just ok. Don't know about the Moroccan restaurant. Breakfast was good and the bar was nice. The swimming pool was very large. Really good vibe all around.
