Reviews for Selman Marrakech

One of a kind experience!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 7 hours ago

5* I had an unforgettable stay at Selman Marrakech and can honestly say it went above my expectations. The hotel itself is amazing, with stunning rooms and a really peaceful atmosphere. My room was spacious and very comfortable, and everything was kept well throughout my stay. I loved coming back to the room after a busy day. One of my favourite experiences was dining at Assyl. The food was excellent and it was made even more special by the live entertainment, dancing horses and belly dancers, which created a really memorable evening. The staff were also very attentive and easy to talk to. What stood out most, however, was the service. Each member of staff I met was friendly, attentive and happy to help with any questions. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble. There was also plenty to do during the stay. From enjoying the scenary from the outdoor swimming pool, the horse show at the hotel to the Medina, which was easy to reach from the property. Overall, Selman Marrakech is a truly special place and I would happily return. Thank you to the entire team for creating such an amazing experience!

A truly special stay at Selman Marrakech

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 11 hours ago

Selman is one of those rare places that lives up to every expectation and then quietly exceeds them. From the moment i arrived there’s a sense of calm and elegance that runs through the whole property, the gardens, the pool, the architecture all feel considered without ever feeling stiff. The Arabian horses are, of course, the heart of the place, and seeing them is genuinely unforgettable , it gives Selman a soul you don’t find at most luxury hotels. The spa is a haven, the grounds are beautiful to wander, and dinner at Assyl and Sabo were true highlights. What stayed with me most, though, was the staff. Nothing was too much trouble, and every interaction felt sincere rather than scripted. I left already wanting to return. Grazie mille to the whole team a presto.

Stunning architecture, incredible stables, and top-tier service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

The Selman Marrakech thoroughly deserves its 5-star rating. The rooms are spacious with high ceilings, lavish decor, and the luxury of a private ground-level patio or balcony. The service here is impeccable; every staff member was courteous and helpful. I would like to extend a special thank you to Zakaria at the reception desk and Anas Boutarbouch in food service. Both went above and beyond, proving to be extremely helpful, friendly, and highly professional.A unique highlight is the hotel's own haras (stables). I thoroughly enjoyed my horse riding lessons with a highly knowledgeable and friendly instructor. The incredibly long swimming pool is also fantastic and well-serviced.For transparency, there are two minor areas for improvement:Dining options: While the two dinner restaurants (the Moroccan venue with the horse/belly dancing show and the modern fusion option) are excellent, the casual open-terrace restaurant closes around 5 PM. It is a shame, as it would be wonderful to have a casual outdoor dining option in the evenings.Pest control: There were quite a few moths and some mosquitoes inside the room, which needs to be managed better.Aside from these areas for improvement, it was a very pleasant stay. With its distinctive atmosphere and stunning architecture, the Selman is easily the place to stay in Marrakech.

The sweet spot for any luxurious design hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We stayed 7 days at the Selman and this is truly an amazing hotel. We went to 2 other top rated hotels, the Royal Mansour and the Amanjena, for dinnner and also have a peak at what those hotels are about, and each time came back to the Selman very happy this was our place. From the manicured garden, beautiful pool, attentive service, restaurants, room and amenities everything works beautifully. What also made the difference is the superb combination of modern blended with traditional Moroccan design. This is truly the sweet spot. It’s pricey but quite a bit less than the other hotels we visited but offers to our taste a far more agreeable experience. Highly recommended.
