Necklace stolen from room

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

NECKLACE STOLEN FROM ROOM We had a lovely stay at Selman Marrakech and it was my first time visiting the hotel. The property itself is beautiful and the overall atmosphere is calm and luxurious, which made what happened even more distressing and disappointing. Unfortunately, during our stay, my Van Cleef necklace was stolen from our room. I had left it in the bathroom, and the maid confirmed she had seen it in the room at around 5:30pm. This means that at some point after this, someone entered the room and it went missing. I reported the incident immediately. The hotel staff were polite and did assist by taking me to the police station, which I appreciated. However, the necklace was never recovered, and there was no real resolution or accountability. This completely overshadowed what should have been a special experience. For a hotel of this standard, I expected a much higher level of security and reassurance. It’s incredibly unsettling to feel that your personal belongings are not safe in your own room. While the hotel is beautiful, this experience left a very sour impression and, sadly, I would not return nor recommend this hotel. I think it’s important for other guests to be aware and take extra precautions with valuables. Such a shame, as it could have been a perfect stay.Oui

Wonderful

Exceptional brunch and outstanding service I had a wonderful brunch experience at the Selman in Marrakech. The setting is beautiful, the food is delicious and varied, and the horse show is absolutely stunning. What really stood out to me was the attention to detail. Aboubakr takes the time to walk around and check on every guest to make sure everyone is satisfied. It’s a very professional and discreet approach that you don’t always find in other places. It truly makes a difference. Thank you to him for the excellent service!

Great place to visit

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

We did not stay at this hotel but visited it for lunch. The lunch was wonderful. with outdoor seating under a canopy with a miser for the heat. The food and service was excellent. The grounds were beautiful. The highlight was a walk through lavish stables for Arabian horses, numerous horses on the grounds.
