Very nice lodge with a hippo pool on the property. There is a boardwalk so you can get close to the pool and the animals. Good good and pleasant staff and convenient for game drives. We were comfortable here.

this lodge is steeped in history. but thats nearly all the good I can write about it. the reception was cold. the bellboys got luggage to our room, but waited around to get a tip. no one showed us the places for lights etc. the bathroom door didn't close. the service for ice etc just wasn't forthcoming, we had to go ourselves to the kitchen. further the food was the worst I had on my entire Kenyan trip, and this inspite of talking to the F &B manager;. and that was surprising since the same group hotel at Naivasha made exceptional food and served us very personally. we went out of our way to book this hotel, but felt very let down

We stayed in this lodge from 3/09/2017 to 7/09/2017. Excellent stay, food, staff. Breakfast , lunch and dinner were always hot, fresh and mix of vegetarian and continental. In all meals there were live counters to serve fish/chicken stir fried. Plenty of deserts in every meals. Hippo pool was the best attractions and evening after return from safari would always be spent at bar watching hippos smooching, zebra, Topi, Impala etc.

We recently stayed at Keekorok for 2 nights, the staff were amazing and so attentive, nothing was ever too much trouble, we would especially like to thank George in dining as he always greeted us and was very helpful. The food was really varied and very tasty, the lodge was very clean and comfortable, we even saw zebras outside our lodge when going to dinner. Amazing views from the hippo bar, great to sit and watch all the animals passing by. Thank you for making our stay so special.
