Situated deep in the great expanse that is the Maasai Mara National Reserve, Keekorok Lodge embodies the heart of Kenya and the African safari experience. This 80-acre property, part of the Connect collection of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, and originally built in 1962, resides on an ideal plot of land surrounded by permanent springs and rolling grasslands, directly on the path of animal migrations. With a name meaning abundance in the local language, the prevalence of wildlife at Keekorok Lodge is indisputably great, making every moment an opportunity to witness nature's spectacular show. The hotel rooms and suites provide enchanting accommodations to guests, featuring private verandas, en-suite bathrooms, and contemporary linens and furnishings to make you feel welcome. A gleaming swimming pool and sun loungers summon lazy afternoons outdoors, while the lodge's own Eseriani Spa offers indulgent massages and a full menu of facial and body treatments. With a gracious staff whose priority is ensuring your comfort, Keekorok Lodge will be an exotic experience, yet feel like a home.

The hotel and property were beautiful. The rooms are well kept. Bathrooms were clean. The hotel itself was very nice and the staff very accommodating. The food was good. The place was very secure. I appreciated the fact that they were always ready to escort us back-and-forth at night as we were right in the middle of the Safari. I absolutely enjoyed myself. I would recommend here to everyone. I love the hotel shop and the unique things they had and the pricing. Overall a wonderful experience. If I have an opportunity to come back, I will definitely be staying there.

Just back from Safari across Kenya and spent 3 nights at Keekorok Lodge. 1stly the team here were great, very friendly and welcoming. My wife is GF and Lactose intolerant, the chefs and restaurant staff were great in ensuring they catered for her allergies and she never went hungry, with some dished made especially for her. We stayed in one of the detached lodges in the garden area and whilst it may not be the 1st in immaculate decoration it certainly served its purpose. comfortable and clean bedding, roll round mosquito net, great shower, powerful and HOT, so zero complaints about the room, we were just in it to sleep and shower, have stayed in worse hotel rooms in the UK, especially the shower! Only issue is you cant walk about freely between 19:00-06:00, well unless you want to come face to face with a Hippo (Not really an issue). One of the highlights of this hotel has to be the Hippo bar. It overlooks the Hippo pool with about 100 Hippos of all ages in it. Can create an interesting aroma if you are down wind, but an absolute privilege to be sat with a Beer whiling away an hour watching the Hippos interact with each other, oh and pass wind a lot ! The location of this hotel is its best feature, in the Masi Mara and on our Safari trips from the hotel we encountered many animals including Cheetahs, Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Zebra (100s) Buffalo, Wildebeest, Giraffes, etc etc etc, a great location and great experience. Thanks to all the staff at the Lodge.

This was our 2nd visit to Keekorok, We must say keekorok has changed for better. Food is far better than many places we visited in Kenya , Rooms were nice & clean but need renovation. Food Manager Manish was helpful to meet our elderly parents food requests. Hippo bar was the highlight of this place

Keekorok was the ideal place to stay during our 3 day safari. Each day we enjoyed morning and afternoon game drives with our knowledgeable guide and driver Benson. Our lodge was always clean and welcoming (thanks to Janet). Food was great. We enjoyed the Hippo Bar and also making use of the pool. Would thoroughly recommend.
