This is a true pearl in Masai Mara. I have been here several times and I am always proud to bring clients here. The service is outstanding, the rooms very nice and all facilities are up and working.. Add to that that you have wildlife so close that sometimes you will find Zebras or hippos feeding right there on the lawn. Truly Amazing.

We stayed here many years ago and enjoyed it. Since then it has been much upgraded although the we remembered the entrances into the rooms. Inside they have been improved with a lovely bathroom. We stayed three nights and the location is perfect for visiting many areas of the park. The lodge is not fenced so animals do enter the grounds. We say Impala and Warthog on the lawns. There is a boardwalk leading to the hippo pool where the residents are very entertaining. There is a "hide" at the end of it so you can watch in comfort. There are even toilets on this boardwalk! The grounds are beautiful and large. Perfect for my birdwatching husband. Don;t leave the room doors open as the monkeys are opportunists and will be in like lightning. You are asked to phone for an escort when moving about after 7.30 pm due to the animals entering the grounds. And will be escorted back after dinner too. We wondered if this was necessary until we spotted a hippo footprint one morning that was not there the night before! Food was good although very indian orientated. Sometimes something plainer would have been appreciated. There was a cooking station where stirfries and pasta were cooked to order. Breakfast was quite good too although some mornings it should have been topped up and there was a lack of fruit/yoghurts. The staff were lovely even though sometimes they had some difficult guests to deal with. The one down for me was the shop where the salesman tried to rip us off. We wanted coffee which was priced at 400 shillings. He tried to charge us 1000s each for this which we refused to pay and walked out. Later my Sister in law bought the same coffee for 400 shillings in the same shop from a different salesperson. He must have thought we looked like mugs! We were not! This would give a bad impression of Keekorok if it had happened on our first day and not the last. It did however leave a bad taste in the mouth.

All good with friendly staff. Everyone is helpful and friendly and the guests enjoy the hippo lookout very much. The location is perfect for game viewing and the proximity to Sand River is an advantage. Itinerary however be nice to get a booster for the wifi (it's very slow) and to make the wifi available in the guest rooms as well as in the main building.

This was a great place for our family. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The pool was great for the kids between game drives. The food was a bit repetitive. Thankfully it was only a 3 day stay. However it was still an enjoyment for us. The grounds and the hippo pool were a highlight. We loved the naturalness of the surroundings. Keekorok felt like an oasis in the middle of the Maasai Mara.
