What an amazing place to go and see Maasai Mara. From hippos to hyraxes, the hotel is very well situated for seeing all that Maasai Mara has to offer. The accommodations were lovely, and also felt authentic and connected to nature. All of the amenities were superb as well. Having said all of that, what really stood out to me was the people. The staff members were all so friendly, warm and welcoming… they made sure that I had anything and everything I could possibly need to feel comfortable and at home. This may have been my first visit to Fairmont Mara, but definitely won’t be my last.

I stayed at Fairmont Mara Safari Club for 2 nights (26-28 May). First, I have to thank our GREAT tour guide, Dominic who accompanied us during the whole journey. Dominic is quite devoted, sincere, knowledgeable, active, punctual, and cheerful. He was quite perseverant until he found 2 lions to show us at the last minute (I would even say the last second or the extra-time or +90 in football language) of our trip. He was game driving even on the way to the plane returning to Nairobi! Staff of Fairmont was also great: Wallace, William, Caleb, Patrick, etc.. (apologies for not remembering all the names). The tents are a perfect accommodation in the middle of the forest. Very clean and comfortable. The reason I am not rating 5 is that there is absolutely no internet connection except in the reception area which is quite restricting. One advice: visiting the village was not a nice experience!

My husband and I took his parents to a safari at the Fairmont. We had an amazing time! The facilities were beautiful and the service was amazing. The staff worked hard to make our stay wonderful by creating special meals in multiple locations for us. The food was incredibly tasty. My husband's mother struggles with a knee injury, but she was able to enjoy her stay despite struggling to walk. Our safari driver was amazing. We saw 18 lions: a pride of 7, a momma with 3 cubs, 2 males with 2 females, 1 male with 2 females, and a single female. Just a few hours before we arrived the momma lion had killed a zebra and drug it into the edge of the trees to save for later. We saw herds of zebras, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, elans, impalas, hartebeest, wildebeest, and gazelles and a pair of jackals. We also saw a cheetah and her 2 cubs. The cheetah was eating a dik dik (the smallest of the antelopes) and a hyena came around the front of our vehicle and stole the cheetah’s food from her. I am glad that we also visited a Maasai village during our stay which was very informative. This was our second time staying at this resort and I hope to visit again. I think that April tends to be an off-season time to travel, but it was really a wonderful time to go.

My husband and I stayed at the Fairmont Safari Club in Massai Mara for our honeymoon. The whole experience from start to finish was absolutely extraordinary. A lovely welcome, brilliant staff and extraordinary safaris. Our lodge was perfect, and the service from all staff was fantastic. So polite and friendly, we honestly felt like we were at home. We enjoyed our safari trips and bush walk too. They offer morning safari, afternoon safaris and night safaris - we did all three for the experince and saw so many animals. It truly is breathtaking to see the animals in their natural habitat. We were lucky enough to see a Lion, Lionesses and cubs after days of searching. We managed to see 4 of the big 5. The Leopards were hiding well, but that only gives us more reason to return. I highly recommend Fairmont Safari Club if visiting Massai Mara. Big shout out to Dennis, Valentine, Rose, Mercy, Mary, Leboo, Daniel, Gerald, Jonathan, Ruben, Dominic You guys are a great team :-)

My third time in 14 years, my wife's second. We love this place. Lots of rain in the last few weeks (early this year), so game drives were a bit restricted in where they could go, and the Mara River below our tent was too high for the hippos to spend any time there. But still, a wonderful experience. A special shout out to Samuel, our driver on the game drives, Patrick, our server at meals, and Adan, our housekeeper. They were all friendly, helpful, and informative. A new experiencet this time - an outdoor evening meal with Maasai singers and dancers from a local village. My wife loved it!
