Beautiful stay in Matera
I know that in Matera luxury accommodation in the cave room in Sassi are all the rage. However, we much preferred staying at the elegant Palazzo Gattini in a suite with a gorgeous view of the Sasso. Beautifully light, spotlessly clean, spacious. Service is outstanding throughout and especially Teresa who is so enthusiastic, hospitable, and friendly. Highly recommended.

We have just had a 2 night stay at the Palazzo Gattini and wow, it was just perfect. From being met at the car park & being transferred to the hotel, to the general atmosphere and outstanding attentiveness of all the staff we met, we really couldn’t fault a thing. The hotel had everything we needed and more. It is in a beautiful location by the Duomo and our room had a balcony overlooking it. The room was huge & extremely comfortable. All the staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. Breakfast was fantastic, such a lovely selection and we also enjoyed a couple of drinks at the rooftop bar. Thank you for an exceptional stay, you will be a hard act to follow for the rest of our travels in Puglia!

Impeccable!
We had the most spectacular Easter meal at the hotel restaurant! The attention to detail and service was impeccable. We were given special treatment when we arrived early. The menu items and wine options were explained in detail based on Italian tradition. Every bite was deliziosa! The Grandma Cuccinid was divine. They even brought out samples of the cheese that was used to make it so we could try. Amazing. We would go back again a a heartbeat.

Our stay in Palazzo Gattini Matera an unforgettable one
Matera is an amazing and unique city . Palazzo Gattini is located in the very heart of the city in the Piazza of Duomo - the best location possible with incredibile view of the city. The hotel is of top class , the whole structure is antique and restored to the highest level. Rooms are big with amazing bathrooms . We ate in the hotel restaurant and we highly recommend it food and wine were excellent . The service of the whole staff is top class and made our stay in Matera an unforgettable one .
