Palazzo Gattini Luxury Hotel

My wife and I spent a few days at Palazzo Gattini and had a lovely time. The hotel is beautiful, full of character, and perfectly located to enjoy Matera. What I appreciated most was the warm welcome from the staff, who made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Sitting on the terrace in the evening and looking over the city was a real pleasure. A memorable stay that I will keep in my heart.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. We stayed in a room with a terrace and jucuzzi and although the jacuzzi didnt work it didnt take away from the wonderful terrace and view. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. The roof top terrace and bar staff were great and breakfast was delicious with a great selection. We had an amazing stay in Matera. Not to be missed if you are in this area

Our stay at Palazzo Gattini in Matera was unforgettable, and two experiences stood out above all the rest. The Rooftop Bar is simply magical. Watching the sun set over the Sassi while enjoying cocktails and breathtaking views was one of the highlights of our trip. A special thank you to David and Damion, whose hospitality, professionalism, and genuine warmth made every visit feel special. Their attention to detail and friendly conversation elevated an already spectacular setting into a truly memorable experience. Dinner at Le Bubbole was equally outstanding. The cuisine was creative, beautifully presented, and showcased the flavors of Basilicata with elegance and authenticity. Luciano, Dino, and Antonio provided impeccable service throughout the evening. Their knowledge, attentiveness, and passion for hospitality made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. Every recommendation was perfect, and their enthusiasm enhanced the entire dining experience. Palazzo Gattini is a remarkable property in the heart of Matera, but it is the people who make it exceptional. Thank you, David, Damion, Luciano, Dino, and Antonio, for creating memories that we will cherish long after returning home. We cannot wait to come back.

Comfort, staff professionalism and location next to the duomo in this gorgeous city all excellent. We had a suite with a sculpted stone ceiling, a fabulous shower and a view over the gorge from its terrace. Breakfast wonderful. If you have a car they recommend a car park nearby and arrange a transit. If you want to do a workout they take you to a nearby well equipped gym. The staff all so friendly and helpful. We would certainly return to Palazzo Gattini.

Parking easy in secure covered lot with hotel shuttle. Staff outstanding, very young and friendly and energetic. Very responsive to any queries, just ask! Room superb. Breakfast excellent. Hotel just next up Duomo very central. Near to bars restaurants and sites. Really great stay in the truly incredible Matera.
