The small brother hotel across The Dorchester. But we love it. Modern style great staff. The rooms are big and so nice furniture in it. The service is outstanding. Go for lunch or dinner at the Cut. They have a amazing champagne by the glass you will love it. For us this is the hotel we always take in Londen.

Had a chance to stay in their suit on the 8th floor with stunning view across Hyde park and the side views towards Houses of Parliament and London eye. Very stylish modern chic design, great service, very good restaurant and bar on site as well as the sister Dorchester 15 steps away, and excellent location overall. Perhaps one minor thing - we could not play the radio from hotels iPad onto the lovely Bang and Olufsen TV and there did not seem to be an iPod dock or something of the kind. The rest is great, can't fault anything really and the fact that the hotel is on the small side adds up to the luxury feel. The hotel is not cheap either.

I stayed in this fabulous art deco icon on a trip to London for an important meeting. The hotel is an encomium to art and design with modern paintings exhibited around the hotel and constantly rotated and changed so that unless you visit very frequently you are unlikely to see the same works twice. The art deco design of the hotel has been lauded by many but is complimented by the quality of the fittings which offer a coherence of design from the moment you step through the door down to the smallest detail of your room; Virtually everything seems to have been made, and well made, to a precise specification for the hotel. The rooms are ample sized with my choice being a "King Sized" which offered all the space and amenity of a Junior Suite at any other five star hotel. If the prices seem high you should bear that in mind. Everything worked, and the electronic controls available from various points in the room gave easy access to all the essential systems. The hotel offers a single point of contact, the host, who can be contacted with any request you might have, mine (Iola) was attentive and swift. The location of the Hotel on Park Lane is convenient both in itself and also because it is a 40 second walk from the Dorchester to which it is a sister hotel. This means that you do not miss out simply because you are staying in a boutique sized hotel, all your needs, whether hairdressing or spa can be serviced via the Dorchester if 45 does not cover it. This brings me to some shortcomings, slight though they may be. One is that you cannot order afternoon tea at this hotel, not even to your room. I mean you can but it has to be delivered from the Dorchester with a delivery supplement of £25 a head. I mean, come on guys that is just plain naughty! Tea for two cost me £173!!. Another is that breakfast is served without black pudding, they don't have it in the hotel! A Full English with no black pudding is not a Full English, more like a Partial English. What breakfast you do get however (although it's not a very big breakfast) is well done, I had eggs benedict on both mornings and it was spot on. Just to repeat myself however, a boutique hotel is great, but a boutique breakfast? If you don't mind missing out on tea and don't care for black pudding then it would be hard to find a fault. Service is excellent and friendly with a sense of fun. Here is a nice thing-the nepresso coffee maker is kept topped up by the host, so you never have to worry about taking it apart and trying to fill it from the tap. A small matter but it saves time. Congratulations to Philip Roesch who has just started in the hotel and who I am sure will be doing great things, his attention to detail and affable manner must be highly commended.

45 Park Lane is a beautiful high tech art deco inspired boutique hotel. We received a warm welcome from the entire staff. We arrived in London earlier than the 3 PM check-in, however the staff made our room available to us early. While we waited for our room, we had a delicious lunch at Wolfgang Puck's Restaurant CUT located in the hotel. The presentaion of the food and the flavor were equally impressive. We had a very nice upgraded corner suite that featured Bang and Olufsen electronics. Everything in the room was operated by control pads located throughout the spacious room. A touch to the control pad turned the lights off and on and raised and lowered the shades. How cool is that?! Thank you to the outstanding staff at 45 Park Lane for a more than enjoyable stay! We will return!
