This resort is Top Notch!!! Amazinginly beautiful large rooms with bathtub area that opens up to the room. A small area with coffee maker and mini bar. There are 3 restaurants on the property that vary from a barn with a buffet, Casual tavern style pub, and an elegant restaurant. The resorts offers a top notch golf course. It is expensive, but thats typical for golf at a resort. Our family participating in fly fishing, ATV rides, sporting clays, kayaking, horse back riding and the spa. There is something for everything that is offered. Casual hikes & frisbee golf are also offered. There is lots of pheasant & quail hunting during season. Im not sure if this would be a great place for younger kids. They do not have an outdoor pool, which it really needs! It does however have an indoor pool with an outdoor seating area. One of the favorite things offered were the s'mores kits offered at night by the fire pit!

We booked one of the 3 tree houses "Golden Eagle". The views were great, but it was a hot day. The AC was not able to cool the room. We had maintenance check it out, but there was nothing they could do. We spoke to the front desk. They said that it is not hot that often there, and that they probable need a bigger AC unit. Everything else was great, but when you pay $800 for a "Tree house" You would expect the AC to cool the room below 80 degrees. They could have offer some kind of compensation. However they just thanked me for my feed back. You are welcome!

Very relaxing, very remote. We stayed in pinnacle cottage room, stunning accommodations, short walk to the lodge. Noisy footsteps overhead did not detract but ask for top floor room. Every single staff member who we encountered was excellent. Food at Elements and the pub was excellent, just average at stables salon but music great. We hiked several trails, rode horses, went to the observatory and spa. A really lovely place to unwind and reconnect.

Highland at Primland provided one of (if not the) finest golf experiences I've ever had. The course is SPECTACULAR. Providing views and vistas that are second to none. Although the course can be challenging, I believed it to be fair. A good shot is rewarded. Be smart and play the correct tees. Even going forward leaves high slope ratings, more than enough to challenge you. The staff and amenities are total class, happy to serve. We were just there for golf, but, if the lodging is anything approaching the golf, you'll be a happy visitor. As a Midwesterner from the Chicago area, this was one heckuva experience!

This is truly a destination in itself. We did not plan well enough in advance to take advantage of activities and spa and would advise doing so. Staff members are all so helpful and welcoming. Every request was heard and response was quick and satisfactory. We stayed in a beautiful suite which suited us perfectly.
