Beautiful Views of the Blue Ridge

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Beautiful property with stunning views and plenty to do. One thing to know before you arrive is that the resort is very large, with activities spread across the property, so expect to use the shuttle frequently or drive your own vehicle. We stayed in the Pinnacle Suite and absolutely loved it. The view was incredible—so much so that we ordered room service several times just to enjoy meals from the balcony. It was one of the highlights of our stay. A heads-up for anyone booking the Pinnacle accommodations: the property is undergoing construction through next spring. If you're driving, a vehicle with higher ground clearance is helpful, as the access road can be rough in places. You'll also want sturdy shoes since you'll be walking alongside an active construction area. The resort does provide shuttle service, which was appreciated, though there were times when it was backed up during busy periods. One final recommendation: make your restaurant reservations well before your arrival. Dining reservations fill up quickly, and planning ahead will give you the best selection of times. Despite the ongoing construction, we really enjoyed our stay. The views, accommodations, and overall setting made it a memorable visit, and we'd love to return once the project is complete.

We really enjoyed our stay at Primland. The mountains are beautiful. The staff were great. If you want to visit, make sure you plan activities and spa time. Otherwise, you’ll miss out on what makes the resort special. The staff who made our stay special were: Austin - shooting Isaac - ropes Alex - rtv Tonja - dinner Cricket - lunch Alexus - at the bar Stargazing expert McKayla at the front desk Alice at guest services Do all the activities!

Another Grand Visit

Another wonderful visit to a great resort. We look forward to returning each year. The golf course is a magnificent challenge, the staff is the "gold standard", the food and accommodations are first class. if you have not been to The Lodge at Primland you should put it on your list.

Great weekend, amazing hotel and staff

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

One of the most amazing experiences we have had a hotel. The staff is incredible. We had our dogs with us and the hotel is super pet friendly, tho be aware that the only rooms that accept dogs are the Fairway Cottage (which are incredible). The pictures on the website don't do it justice. The activities are a lot of fun, the RTV and the trails are great! Leatherflower restaurant has a lot of GF options for breakfast and dinner, and we had lunch at the smoker spot that's right by the cottages (pulled pork and brisket with chips, it was so good - I took my own GF bread so I could enjoy a sandwich). We'll be back!
