Beautiful views, beautiful accommodations, guaranteed exceptional service! Staff very friendly, helpful and response times are accurate for anything you need. The food we ate was very tasteful and I would recommend if anyone is looking for a place to stay this is it, you will not be disappointed

We drove more than five hours to reach Primland last week, enduring hours of fogged in mountain roads, construction traffic and bad weather. The property is magnificent -- an elegantly rustic five-star experience -- but it really is in the middle of nowhere! This became even more apparent hours after our arrival: in the middle of the night, the whole property lost power and the backup generators couldn't stop the battery from blaring out at 6 am from our remote treehouse room. That said, when we called from our cell phone, they came right away to silence the battery. We stayed in the Golden Eagle treehouse. That's the smallest of the three treehouse options and it was cozy. The other two treehouses have similarly wonderful views, with decks cantilevered out over a high bluff -- but the other treehouses are a bit more spacious than the Golden Eagle. For a splurge, I would recommend a night or two in any of the treehouses -- the views of the river and the valley far below are lovely, and it really is a unique experience. And lest you think the remoteness will leave you disconnected, the wifi was actually great. A tip: let them valet your car and have them shuttle you back and forth from the treehouse -- the road between the treehouses and the main lodge is pretty treacherous, even if you have an SUV. And when you call for a pickup, they come right away so it's not like you are trapped in isolation. The weather was terrible during our stay (apparently April - June is often cold and rainy) but falling asleep in our cozy treehouse with the rain pelting down on the wooden roof was relaxing and soothing. The bad weather also meant we missed out on their nightly star show in the observatory. They literally pull back the roof and you look through their huge telescope to learn about the night sky, but when the weather is bad, they can only show you photos. Still nice to see, but not nearly as exciting. Everyone who works at Primland went out of their way to make our stay relaxing and decadent, and the facility and surroundings are magnificent. We would happily come again (despite our crazy experience with the power outage -- which apparently isn't that uncommon), but because of its remoteness, it's hard to make Primland a regular destination for us. Unless you live in western Carolina or have a private plane to fly right into the Blue Ridge Airport, you must plan on a full day of harried travel to get to there.

My daughter rented Bell House over Easter Weekend. Bell is a beautiful house and great for families. When we arrived and were choosing our bedrooms we noticed that the inside screens were covered with dead stink bugs in two bedrooms. If the house had been cleaned properly, the dead bugs would have been vacuumed. If there had been a vacuum cleaner in the unit, I would have taken care of this myself. If the bugs had been alive, I would not be concerned, because we all have stink bugs, but the dead ones should have been cleaned up. We also had an accident at the spa. While we were in the sauna, the stone bench we were sitting on collapsed. It completely broke loose from the wall and cracked in the middle. We were offered band aids for scrapes, and treated very well, and we still paid our $600.00 spa bill. I really believe we should have had some compensation for the accident. Our spa treatments were to help us relax, but the accident after the treatments took all the relaxation out of the experience. I would recommend Primland, despite our problems. It is a beautiful adventure.

My husband and I attended the Easter Brunch and stayed the night. The food was Fantastic! We have been several times and this time there was a significant improvement in the food options - the menu has been recently updated apparently. The staff was friendly (as always - especially the bartenders and assistants in the 19th Pub) - as usual, and very helpful. We stayed in the Pinnacle cottages and loved the spaciousness and views - perfect place to stay with the spring scenery.

The service was great from the time were greeted upon arrival to departure. We were quickly acknowledged, and offered bottled water. The view from the deck of the Pinnacle Cottage was great overlooking the hills, had beautiful sunsets, and great for having drinks/relaxing. The room was spacious, clean, adequately stocked except for utensils. The Food and drinks at the 19th pub were good for lunch. The golf course was in pristine shape and challenging. The UTV or ATV ride was fun with all the hills, and tour of some of the property. Bike riding is fun and challenging. The food was so delicious! Great fresh ingredients, delicious and interesting combinations! Enjoyed the steaks, and super fresh seafood. Loved the lobster! You must try the moonshine cocktails! The property is kept clean and very well maintained. The pool/hot tub is nice. The fitness center could be a little larger, but has 2 Ellipticals, cycle machines, free weights, towels, and water. Beautiful resort with lots of things to do for everyone.
