My husband and I attended the Easter Brunch and stayed the night. The food was Fantastic! We have been several times and this time there was a significant improvement in the food options - the menu has been recently updated apparently. The staff was friendly (as always - especially the bartenders and assistants in the 19th Pub) - as usual, and very helpful. We stayed in the Pinnacle cottages and loved the spaciousness and views - perfect place to stay with the spring scenery.

The service was great from the time were greeted upon arrival to departure. We were quickly acknowledged, and offered bottled water. The view from the deck of the Pinnacle Cottage was great overlooking the hills, had beautiful sunsets, and great for having drinks/relaxing. The room was spacious, clean, adequately stocked except for utensils. The Food and drinks at the 19th pub were good for lunch. The golf course was in pristine shape and challenging. The UTV or ATV ride was fun with all the hills, and tour of some of the property. Bike riding is fun and challenging. The food was so delicious! Great fresh ingredients, delicious and interesting combinations! Enjoyed the steaks, and super fresh seafood. Loved the lobster! You must try the moonshine cocktails! The property is kept clean and very well maintained. The pool/hot tub is nice. The fitness center could be a little larger, but has 2 Ellipticals, cycle machines, free weights, towels, and water. Beautiful resort with lots of things to do for everyone.

We visited Primland with another couple to celebrate a birthday. We were able to shoot sporting clays, ATV, use the spa, and take in the observatory at night. The restaurant was wonderful and our server, Seth could not have been more accommodating. We had a bourbon tasting and the sommelier was knowledgeable and informative. The outdoor fire pits provided a pleasant outdoor venue. We never got to try out the world class golf course and some of the other activities. Our room with the extra seating space was well worth the extra few dollars it cost. The room was spacious and well-appointed. The hotel takes its green status very seriously; it would have been nice to have brighter lights in the bathroom, but this was a very minor inconvenience. A great resort with entertainment for everyone!

My husband decided that he wanted to go to Primland for his birthday. We shared the accommodations at the Red Fox mountain home with our two dogs, my parents and my sister. The house had plenty of room for all of us (and more!). The house is essentially a ranch with a walk-out basement, three true bedrooms and an open loft bedroom. One bedroom in the basement has two beds (queen?), and the other has three beds (two doubles and a twin?). The main level bedroom has a single queen bed. The loft bedroom has two beds (queen and twin?). The main level has a nice great room with an open living room and dining area. The detached two car garage has been converted to a game room with heaters, TV, couch, ping pong table and pool table. We greatly enjoyed the privacy provided by this home. The dogs were especially well behaved, because there were no strangers passing by the home. It is secluded in the woods without a view of any neighboring homes. That being said, there are wild animals around. On the first morning, my 70 lb dog saw an animal (deer or fox?) and decided to bolt with me still attached to the other end of the leash! After that, my husband joined me on the morning walks, so we could each take one dog. For this reason, a small fenced area would have been very nice. There are so many activities at Primland to chose from. We enjoyed playing in the game room and daily hikes on the trails. The Old Appalachian trail is easily accessed by walking down the long gravel drive from the house towards the main road. Because there are so many outdoor activities at the resort, we could have stayed even longer without getting bored. The house is somewhat dated on the inside in terms of decor; however, the appliances and mechanicals were all in good working order. The lack of an additional fee to have dogs at this home and the particular layout of the home outweighs this consideration for me. If I was staying without dogs, I would probably stay at one of the homes closer to the lodge. I would like to see a small fenced area at this house to be able to let the dogs out without having to leash them. I would also like to see recycling provided. Also, the step feature of the trashcan didn’t work, which sounds like a small thing, but it was super annoying to everyone in our group. This is something that can easily be fixed! Overall, we had a wonderful time, and I highly recommend the Red Fox to anyone traveling with dogs.

Stunning from start to finish! Everything about this place is top notch. Came here for my wedding anniversary, and I hope to make it back! The food was a culinary masterpiece! It was not over the top & the chef did a marvelous job at creating taste profiles that did not overwhelm the palette. The atmosphere was exquisite and the service was friendly and personal yet professional and indiscreet. This place is clearly a well oiled machine. I can't recommend enough!
