Reviews for Crown Metropol Melbourne
Our first stay at the Crown Metropol in Melbourne but booked this after numerous stays at the same hotel in Perth. The rooms are slightly less modern than those in Perth but still fabulous. We had room service the first night which was delicious and ate breakfast at the hotel both mornings. Great selection. lovely staff. We looked at the pool and wished we had more time there to enjoy the fabulous views from this area. Some good shopping within the complex - very handy if you lose your luggage like we did!! easy access to all hotels and amenities within the group with no need to walk outside. Great position in Melbourne with access onto the river and easy walking access into city.

The hotels location is fantastic and within walking distance to many major Melbourne attractions. The staff are very friendly and know the business well. The rooms are modern and kept clean. Would recommend to anyone.
Stayed for three nights and very impressed with the room and the overall location of the hotel near the Southbank as well as the nearby tram stop and casino if you are into that kind of thing. The choice of food at breakfast was ok and I would have awarded 5 stars overall but I have to ask why is it so difficult for the many staff manning the breakfast room to get you a cup of coffee, this should not be such a challenge for this standard of hotel.

We usually stay at Crown though decided to give this one a go as its very close to the convention centre. Checkin was very quick! I received a text message at around 11am allowing me early checkin which was really great. Not many hotels even care so this was a huge advantage! The rooms are very clean and contemporary. I didn't pay the extra for a city view as I figured being so close to the city there will be buildings and city lights anyway and this was the case. We were given an 11th floor room so our views were still lovely! I ordered the late checkout addon (2pm) for $90 which was so worth the money. I used the gym and thenI lay around in my luxurious robe with so much time to spare. The room service was very good and not overly expensive. The bathroom was bright and very new and clean. I also used the Hotel Steam Room with was lovely and the gym was enormous with the best equipment and full city views. I checked out the pool and it has floor to ceiling windows and plenty of huge comfy pool lounges overlooking the city which was fantastic! Indoor pool by the way. The only disappointment was that the Sky Bar was closed for a private function and I was planning to go up there and have a cocktail. Overall its very close to the Casino, Convention Centre and the amenities and shops are all within 100mtrs walk from reception. The Crown is more luxurious but you pay for it, so I would recommend this hotel for saving a few dollars esp for a quick business trip. Its all you need - and more!

The hotel is located in the heard of Melbourne, and is part of a complex that with other hotels, a food court, mall and casino. I felt I was in a hotel in Las Vegas, very big with a lot of places to shop and eat. The rooms are quiet and nice, great views of the river and the city. Breakfast was incredible too!
