Stayed here as part of a cheap deal-really enjoyable hotel-fantastic staff and great amenities. The pool was a highlight-amazing views from the 27th floor! Buffet breakfast was very good and the location is wonderful.

Next door to the convention center of Melbourne we went there for five nights. The staff was nice and very helpful. The hotel was clean. There are several shops , restaurants around Crown. Overall our stay at the hotel went well.

Spent three nights here. For those who've never visited the Crown Complex before, It a bit of a rabbit warren to both locate where to park and to get to your room. I was somewhat surprised at check in that the team member made no effort in advising me of any of the attractions or features of the complex. In fact, she took my detail and simply pointed me to the elevators. My room on the 10th floor had full width floor to ceiling glass windows with views of the adjacent buildings. Amenities of what I would term as higher dollar accommodations were the let down of the visit. Somewhat threadbare towels, a fee internet service that was so slow that it was unusable, but you could pay $15 a day for the "premium internet experience" of non-determined speeds. My biggest concern with the stay was t do with the misinformation regarding parking. When reading their website you are led to believe that its only $16 a day for parking. I asked a reception team member on how I validate my parking, or do I use my room key as a parking pass. I was told the $16 a day was for a 24 hours stay and I would have to pay via ticket vending machine every time I left the parking facility. Just to add to this, the Crown upped the parking rate to $20 on Friday and Saturday, again without notification. For the amount that you are charged per night, parking and a decent internet service should be included. A for dining experiences, we ate at the lower level food court and while it was a fair offering of mainly Asian cuisines, the food quality was more school cafeteria and the Bludso's BBQ was very ordinary to say the least.

Visited Melbourne again this year and chose to stay at Crown Metropol as we had a great experience last year. We love the location, service and the ambience. The ability to walk to Crown and to Riverwalk makes the location desirable. We prefer Metropol to Crown as it is quieter and more relaxed without the hustle bustle of Crown while providing all the amenities.

What a wonderful hotel and great views onto Southbank! We really enjoyed staying here, our room was big and this hotel has all the top end facilities. We went to check out level 27, where the pool and gym facilities are located. The pool is indoors and heated which is perfect for those colder months. I would definitely come back and stay here!
