People are great. Restaurant fantastic. Rooms need more- lack art and windows open to close other buildings- no privacy! Good location. Nice but pricey valet. Would return but would request room with a view. Btw reserved upgraded suite!

We recently took a trip which included a one night stay in Memphis. We stayed at the Madison and loved it. We love old hotels and this one did not disappoint. It has a great location, you can walk everywhere. And it has great views of The Mississippi River, from the rooftop. They offer a great happy hour on the roof top. The rooms were clean and very nice. We had breakfast in the restaurant, Elvis waffles are really yummy! We would definitely stay there again.

The Madison Hotel is a decent hotel. Highlights are the roof top bar and the regular staff was very friendly. I hosted a group meeting and couldn't get the sales director to return a phone call from me. No one from the sales staff stopped by meeting to ask if everything was being covered and our needs were being met. And finally after requesting to speak with sales director, they still wouldn't come out to see me, nor return my phone call. It's a shame, but little things like this will make my fortune 100 company choose another meeting venue next time we are in Memphis. 3 phone calls and never a return call leading up to meeting and after meeting completion. I've had many meetings and never experienced that type of response.

After checking in and going to the room I was given I discovered that the room hadn’t been cleaned. Someone had been in the bed and left their key card on the table. When I went back to the front desk I was informed that someone else had checked into the room, requested a new room and the room wasn’t cleaned afterwards and I needed to wait until it was cleaned. It was past midnight. I left to go to another hotel.

The hotel is located in the heart of Memphis with stunning views of the city as well as the Mississippi River. Rooms are luxurious with every detail for your stay anticipated for you. There is even an umbrella for rainy days. The staff is welcoming, knowledgeable and very attentive to your needs. Southern hospitality at its best! A special thank you to Phyllis :)
