We took the spirit of Memphis and one of its legendary citizens, Hugh “Hu.” Lawson White Brinkley, and channeled it into a thoughtfully designed hotel experience. Beautiful rooms feature everything you need and want for a restful, wonderful stay, and it’s all done with style and substance the Hu. way. Inspired by generations of Memphians who do things a new way, Hu. welcomes you to an ambitious and visionary hotel experience in the Southeast. Hu (hue) Hotel features 110 rooms and suites, complimentary Wi-Fi in all areas, Lucy's Cafe and Hu Roof with its open-air rooftop bar and panoramic views of the Mississippi River.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms huge and housekeeping excellent. On a personal note. Would have liked either a kettle or coffee machine in room. But the staff accommodated us with a teapot of hot water when ever we requested it.

Well first impressions were good, spacious clean room and bathroom. Breakfast was good value. BUT......I opened a new bottle of perfume before going out for the day, later that evening I went to apply it again and it was gone! Searched everywhere and no sign. Reported it to front desk and was told they would investigate next day. We were leaving early next morning so left contact details including email address. Didn't hear from them next day so emailed them and no reply. Put a dampener on our stay especially as we were going on a 2 week cruise and no other perfume with me.

This hotel was in the perfect spot for walking to the Nightlife. There is a roof top bar that’s view will blow your mind. The beds were very comfortable. Only problem I would say is they need to update there carpet in the rooms. But besides that we enjoyed the hotel and staff.

The location was 2 blocks from Beale street and one block from mississippi river. Perfect location near everything. 10 min from Elvis Presley house and 3 min from big pryamid of Bass pros shops. The atmosphere, Ms. Ebony was all smiles from the moment we walked through the door. The room was cozy but not really upscale compares to neighboring hotels. The price was really good for new years Eve. They have a party on the roof top bar. We didn’t go but heard it was really good and upscale. You had to pay 100 per person. Parking is not free and pay 44 a night across the street at the parking garage. Breakfast had a good spread and served until 930 am. Eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, waffle maker, spread of pasties, Orange and apple juice, coffee ( no coffee maker in room). Would visit again.

We took a quick trip to Memphis and stayed at the Hu Hotel. We had an easy check-in/out with no issues. The staff was great and our room was super cute! We would definitely stay again!

We really could have not been more pleased by the people that work for the Madison (as a real team) the facilities, the food, the ambience, etc. If all of Memphis businesses had your corporate attitude, top to bottom towards its customers Memphis would be "ON FIRE"!!!! We will definitely be back again, soon!

This is my favorite hotel ever. A perfect combination of understated elegance, perfect cleanliness, beautiful appointments and warm, friendly, helpful staff. Thanks for a nice but short stay!

The Madison is the benchmark for all other hotels we stay at in other cities. It is an excellent hotel and we stay there each time we're in Memphis.
