We took the spirit of Memphis and one of its legendary citizens, Hugh “Hu.” Lawson White Brinkley, and channeled it into a thoughtfully designed hotel experience. Beautiful rooms feature everything you need and want for a restful, wonderful stay, and it’s all done with style and substance the Hu. way. Inspired by generations of Memphians who do things a new way, Hu. welcomes you to an ambitious and visionary hotel experience in the Southeast. Hu (hue) Hotel features 110 rooms and suites, complimentary Wi-Fi in all areas, Lucy's Cafe and Hu Roof with its open-air rooftop bar and panoramic views of the Mississippi River.

This hotel was one of the nicest we stayed in on our trip. Yes it’s a little tired with regards to the paintwork but it was clean, comfortable and homely. The location was also good although we used Lyft to get around a lot. The breakfast was a little early for us so didn’t try it but the fact it was an option is a big bonus because Memphis doesn’t seem to wake up before 11am!!! The rooftop bar at sunset is stunning. We loved the fact that housekeeping was on request as we hate being disturbed every morning by the staff wanting to get done in other hotels. I don’t know his name but the young doorman on the evenings was very welcoming and friendly at the end of a long day of sightseeing. We would definitely stay again.

Tv no service no towels in the room had to go to the front desk several times with complaints. The furniture is old it smells dusty and molded , there was also other guest complaining about the tv service. Google surprise it looks nothing like the photos

Great first impression when we pulled up at the door. Parking instructions spelt out and then we were encouraged to check-in, drop our bags (no rush) and then park the car across the road. Room was a corner King which had a separate lounge and a (proper) King Bed! Shower also a stall and NOT over the bath although the tap was a bit of fun - hot first then cold 😂. Rooms are kinda old but that’s the style and carpet could use replacing but no big deal. Rooftop bar is a must for sunset over the Mississippi River and the Bridges. However highlight of our stay was Eboni at reception - her suggestions for where to eat were both bang on - especially Gus’s Chicken. Highly recommended.

Eboni’s customer service was excellent. The location is really nice and they have a great rooftop patio to catch sunset.

A nice lactation with a ten minute walk to Beale street. The 10 dollar breakfast was great with lovely coffee and a nice section of foods. The roof top bar was fabulous with a really good happy hour. Our room was compact but was ok. Nice bed but boy was it high. Bathroom was big as well. A kettle would have been nice

We really could have not been more pleased by the people that work for the Madison (as a real team) the facilities, the food, the ambience, etc. If all of Memphis businesses had your corporate attitude, top to bottom towards its customers Memphis would be "ON FIRE"!!!! We will definitely be back again, soon!

This is my favorite hotel ever. A perfect combination of understated elegance, perfect cleanliness, beautiful appointments and warm, friendly, helpful staff. Thanks for a nice but short stay!

The Madison is the benchmark for all other hotels we stay at in other cities. It is an excellent hotel and we stay there each time we're in Memphis.
