Great front desk staff, valet/bell staff and restaurant staff. The hotel is an older building (e.g., high 10-12 foot ceilings) which for the most part has been decorated well. The sofa bed was really flawed, however; otherwise I'd give our stay and enjoyment a 5 stars. Really enjoyed being close to Riverside Drive, Main Street and downtown.

Stayed here for my 5th wedding anniversary. The hardwood floor was bubbling up, the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable, and the shower was extremely mildewed. We are extremely disappointed as we expected a much better experience when we paid such a high price for the room.

Would have been 5 stars had it been easier to know where to stop and park the car if you were driving. Given security concerns of public car parks it may pay to use the Madison's valet service as I did. Not cheap but they look after your vehicle well. The room I had was generous had very talll ceilings and lounge/workroom separated from bedroom, with its enormous king bed, made the room look like an uptown apartment rather than a hotel room. Easy access to Main Street and all the action in Beale Street. Lovely place to stay. Staff were superb

We chose the Madison Hotel because we liked it so much on our previous stay visit. Several issues left us very disappointed in our choice: 1) bathroom vent was filthy with dust balls thus impeding air flow, 2) the refrigerator needed defrosting and had sitting water at the bottom, 3) interiors of dresser drawers were dirty, 4) only one bedside lamp, 5) only one window had a sheer curtain, 5) we had to call each day to get our room cleaned and both days it was the Manager who showed up to clean our room! 6) service at the bar was slow and the food and beverage quality was poor.

Our family was booked into another hotel in Memphis and on arrival we where bitterly disappointed and just couldn't stay there ( they did refund our booking) My son went on to Expida and found the Madison ! It had only 2 rooms left we booked them and are so happy we did. Expidia asked for the Madison hotel to do the best they could for us and they did we a suite for our son and daughter in law,and a lovely room for us. Great staff friendly, helpful and the roof top bar is the best view in Memphis.
