Reviews for Hu. Hotel

Nice hotel in good position to explore

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

We stayed 3 nights during our trip. Room was dated but clean and staff were very helpful and attentive. There is no maid service but we got extra towels from reception. Didn't have breakfast downstairs, there is a Wall greens across the road for incidentals. Hotel was close to Beale Street and had a fab roof terrace and bar to watch the sunsets. If you are visiting Memphis go and watch the ducks going away from the fountain at 5pm in The Peabody Hotel. If you are looking for an activity visit the Fire Museum of Memphis. The Flying Saucer pub was a great place for food and they had so many beers, just off Beale Street.

Magnificent stay at the Hu!

We stayed at the Hu Hotel for five wonderful days. The room was clean and comfortable. There’s a terrace bar with a wonderful view of the Mississippi River, to unwind at the end of the day. The staff was very nice, and super attentive. A short distance from Beale St!

Convenience and Comfort in Downtown Memphis

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

The Hu Hotel is the perfect place to stay in downtown Memphis. It's a modern hotel in the charm of an old building. It is conveniently located between the river area and the downtown pedestrian zone. From the hotel, it is also quite easy to access other areas of Memphis by car. Both the bedrooms and bathrooms are very spacious and comfortable. There is free coffee in the bar area, as well as a buffet breakfast ( juice, yogurt, bagels and pastries, waffles, eggs, sausage, and potatoes) for $10 per person. The hotel parking ($22 per day) in the deck across the street is very convenient with unlimited ins and outs, and the parking deck is safe, secure, and well-lit. The staff at the Hu Hotel truly made our visit very special. Annie and Cynthia at the front desk greeted me each day with a friendly, welcoming smile, always calling me by name, which I found very impressive and personal. Deadrick was always ready to lend a hand, whether it be helping us unload our baggage at the curb, getting extra towels, or simply asking how our day went. The kindness, friendliness, and professionalism of these three people certainly made our visit memorable.

Great Staff and Views

Deadrick Fliming was our bell hop (I think that's what it's called). He was the most genuine, personable, and helpful person at any hotel I've stayed at. I've been to 11 countries and 45 states and no one has come close. He obviously cares about what he does and the people he helps. His efficiency and direction was on point. I'm very happy to have come when he was working!!

We really could have not been more pleased by the people that work for the Madison (as a real team) the facilities, the food, the ambience, etc. If all of Memphis businesses had your corporate attitude, top to bottom towards its customers Memphis would be "ON FIRE"!!!! We will definitely be back again, soon!

This is my favorite hotel ever. A perfect combination of understated elegance, perfect cleanliness, beautiful appointments and warm, friendly, helpful staff. Thanks for a nice but short stay!

The Madison is the benchmark for all other hotels we stay at in other cities. It is an excellent hotel and we stay there each time we're in Memphis.
