I love this hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

I loved this hotel, it was my favourite place to stay in my trip around Argentina & Chile. My room had a large bed, wardrobe and bathroom, with view to the pool and vines. The staff were helpful and friendly and the best thing about the stay was meeting people in the evening for the inclusive wine tasting, but the value was more about talking to others and hearing their experiences and recommendations. There was a small menu in the restaurant but everything I had was good. My only area for improvement would be breakfast, the first day I was not advised that there were options for eggs/ omelet's etc. the last day when I did order an omelet, the person forgot to put my order into the kitchen, and only did so after an enquiry of how come people who had arrived later had been served.

A jewel at the foot of the Andes

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We attended a wedding in Mendoza and stayed at Club Tapiz for 3 nights. Tapiz produces great wines, serves truly wonderful meals and provides a relaxing stay among vineyards and olive trees at the foot of the Andes. The Club houses a museum-class collection of ancient carpets from Central Asia: we asked to see it twice, we were so enthralled. The staff is delightful, helpful and impeccably trained. The manager knows everything there is to do in Mendoza and environs, from bike excursions to museums, from winery tours to hikes. She is great! We had a wonderful time - but way too short!

An old charming lady

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 months ago

An old Lady of the area. The pro is certainly the kindness and efficience of the staff. Really smiling, always ready to help. The restaurant is perfect. The ambiance is romantic Con....sometimes an old Lady need too.... To be renovated. We were in casa zolo but even if it s charming, the room and the bathroom need serious lifting.

A REMARKABLE experience!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 months ago

Describing the incredible experience at Club Tapiz defies words. Not only is it a drop dead gorgeous winery/boutique hotel with spot-on views of the snow covered Andes, but the delicious food and cozy comfort were also beyond description.. We were fortunate enough to be there for 3 nights, and every moment was like out of a dream. There was nothing quite like returning to the hotel after visiting various other wineries, etc. throughout the day, and then settling in by the beautiful pool with a bottle of their fantastic wine and a camera! There are birds everywhere, and we discovered a couple of walking/hiking trails on the property, with peacocks and guinea pigs. There is even a very beautiful collection of handmade tapestries in a dark and peaceful museum. If you are lucky enough to stay at Club Tapiz, it will be a remarkable memory forever.

Nice and charming location with poor service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed December 22, 2022

Somehow disappointed. The pictures on the website are very attractive and it is a nice location and has some charm, but you are not far from a busy road and it is all not so quiet. The major disappointment was the quality of the service we did not expect from such an expensive place. There was some hair left in our bath tub. When asking the receptionist to receive the invoice after payment, he would send it by e-mail later. He never did. In the beginning when asking how much would be the payment in pesos, he would revert to me. He never did and I needed to ask him again. For the last day we wished to have a 7:45 am breakfast. The ladies arrived at 7:30 am. First they said no problem. Then they looked bad tempered when we pressed them a bit to get the breakfast, and we got a half breakfast at 8:00 am. In the evening there is a wine tasting with the other guests which is a nice initiative. The lady who presented the wine gave us no more information than what was written on the label of the bottle. The staff is too much acting like civil servants who work the hours for which they are paid, and that's it. No more!
