The Betsy - South Beach

Just got back from a few days at The Betsy to escape the NY cold. We had a great time enjoying delicious breakfasts on the front patio, morning rooftop yoga, and lounging at the beach and pool. The Besty feels like a respite at the end of Ocean drive while still being accessible to all Miami has to offer. The front desk staff was great (George, Fritz, and Jayemar). I want to give a particular shoutout to George for being super helpful and making sure our stay was comfortable!

This place is fantastic. Great cocktails, awesome vibe. Fancy, but unpretentious.

I visit South Beach regularly 5-6 times a year and ~5 years ago I happened to come across a sophisticated boutique hotel exterior I thought I should give a try - my first visit to the Betsy was “dream-like” - I still fondly remember it - as soon as I arrived in front of the Betsy, I was promptly greeted by staff who whisked my luggage through the double-door entrance held ajar by other staff members - I felt like royalty even before entering the interior - it just got better & better from there - as I walked toward check-in, I was handed a glass of prosecco and offered a hearty pastry and refreshing cold water/o.j. - the gorgeous weather(clear skies, mid 70’s, the scent of freshly-cut grass wafting through the air & a light ocean-breeze on a late sunny Sunday morning) compounded by the well-mannered staff “kicked” things up several notches - I traversed the terrifically curated & manicured interiors of the Betsy, making my way to my room and out to the expansive balcony but not before being greeted by warm “hellos/good mornings/etc.” by nearly every staff member as I entered a hallway, a room . . . an elevator - it’s at that moment that the Betsy became my go-to hotel for nearly 90% of my visits to South Beach since then - fast-forward to the present, I don’t recall the names of all the impressive staff but do recall a standout . . . Fritzner, Fritzner Laraque - I have yet to meet a more kind, accommodating, caring, gentle-hearted staff member who deliberately goes out of his way to anticipate & deliver things before I myself could realize I need/want them - I always feel important in his care - whomever hired Fritzner made a stellar choice - BRAVO! When you select The Betsy, you expect exceptional service. When my parents and I visited last week for Sunday brunch, you delivered nothing less. I will continue to choose The Betsy because of your welcoming staff and the wonderful sense of belonging you impart to your guests. We joined you, after returning to the Port of Miami from a recent cruise. I had messaged Paul, one of your dedicated concierges, as the disembarking procedure left me unsure of our exact arrival time. Paul was incredibly reassuring, telling me to simply relax and that everything would be ready for us. Upon arrival, I was delighted to see his orchids taking hold of the trees in the two courtyards—a beautiful upscale detail in your boutique hotel. I would also like to extend my thanks to René and Robert. They made us feel truly welcomed, ensuring our coffee mugs were never empty and that we felt like returning family. Finally, my review would not be complete without thanking the Canine Concierge Team. Betsy remembered me instantly and welcomed my parents as new friends. Thank you for another memorable experience.

Fantastic hotel - wonderful service and the best energy for a couples getaway right on the beach - highly recommend!
