What a great hotel, rooms, architecture, art, jazz music in the lobby, breakfast, roof pool, kitchen etc. Of course you pay for what you get, but worth every penny. Enjoy a drink outside in the afternoon watching all the people passing by. And make sure you test the steaks for dinner.

Stayed one night but wish had more time. Wonderful ambience with cultured feel to it and great facilities and breakfast. The jazz/literary theme works well and the service is excellent. The rooftop pool library and other common areas are outstanding for a small hotel. Happily stay again.

This was by far one of the best boutique hotels I have stayed at in quite awhile. The staff went above and beyond to help us out. It was my spouse's 50th Birthday and we received a complimentary upgrade to a balcony suite, a wonderful cake and a bottle of Prosecco to enjoy. Everything was enjoyable, and the live music in the bar area each evening was great. We will most certainly be back for another stay.

We were woken up by the fire alarm after 2am, reception didn't answer the phone and people where running around when finally another guest told us all it was a false alarm. My daughter was distraught so we could not get back to sleep till 5am as she feared there was a fire. Not a word from any of the staff as if it did not happen. Also the receptionist at check in blatantally lied telling us a far better breakfast was served in the Conservatory, which is a dull backwater area of the hotel. Once we went out the main area we saw most guest enjoying a far superior breakfast and vibrant atmosphere with full ta me service. A real disappointment to the start of our day.

We stayed at The Betsy on Memorial Weekend for two nights in May. We had a Superior Pool View Suite which was ideal for the three of us - one king bed and then a sofa bed in the living room. Our view was into the internal courtyard pool and there were a lot of windows allowing nice natural light into the room. The bathroom was a great size and the shower was superb with more than one outlet and loads of space. Very nice toiletries too - loved the body lotion. Our arrival at the hotel was the only downside as the traffic was very busy for memorial weekend and we were stuck in a traffic jam for over two hours - it would have been nice to have received an email from the hotel warning us of this and advising the best way to access the valet parking area. Breakfast was very tasty with fresh fruit, toast and crisp and fresh danish pastries, we took this outside on the terrace. Rooftop pool is divine but get there early to secure a lounger, the view from the rooftop was superb and we had a great view of the airshow. Overall a very enjoyable stay despite the arrival dramas. Highly recommend this hotel for location - beach, restaurants, shopping, great service and spacious rooms.
