The Betsy - South Beach

The surprise I felt upon arriving at The Betsy was profound. From the very first moment, the welcome at reception was among the warmest and most gracious I have ever received. I was greeted with an enormous smile and a genuine willingness to help with anything I might need. I had arrived without cash on hand. In Europe, we do not generally carry cash with us, and I was therefore unable to leave a tip at the time. What struck me, however, was that there was not even the slightest suggestion of disappointment or discomfort. They simply continued to treat me with the same warmth and generosity. I fully intend to rectify that before check out, because the people who work at this hotel are truly exceptional. In fact, I cannot remember another hotel where I have learned and retained the first names of so many members of the staff. Fritz, George, Evan, Art at the concierge desk, and of course Juan. And of course the wonderful women who take such care of our room. I already feel as though I have made friends here. I would return to The Betsy for these people alone. That is not to diminish the hotel itself, which is beautiful and possesses an unmistakable character. But what elevates the experience is the extraordinary human quality of the people who work here. We encountered a small issue with our room, and the manner in which it was handled was nothing short of masterful. It was resolved with such efficiency, grace, and genuine eagerness to help, that I was left genuinely impressed. As the owners, you should be immensely proud, not only of the training and culture you have cultivated within your staff, but also of the extraordinary people you have chosen to represent the hotel. Training can teach competence, but warmth, kindness, dignity, and genuine hospitality cannot simply be manufactured. The Betsy has clearly managed to cultivate both. And for me, that is what makes a hotel memorable. Not merely the room, the architecture, or the address, but the people whose names you remember long after you leave. Thank you Betsy stuff! You really are the best ❤️

Wonderful dinner at LT steakhouse at the Betsy. Food was amazing as always (the popovers are always a highlight!) with exceptional service from Nathan, making our honeymoon one to remember!

From the location - the quiet end of SoBe - to the beautiful rooms and atmosphere, The Betsy is stellar in every category. The live music, art on display in every corridor and daily events made it a lively cultural experience. Finally, the staff deserves the highest praise of all - at the front desk, in restaurants and bars, and of course the management - Gabriella, Josimar, Fritz, Juan, George, Gustavo and Rene - thank you all for making each day perfect.
