The Betsy - South Beach

Was expecting something different…. For a Miami Beach icon, I was expecting a warm welcome and lovely service. Visiting the Piano bar to soak up some local atmosphere but after sitting here 20 minutes without any interest from the staff who are standing idle by the bar (not busy). Sadly looks like they rely on a reputation built by the past. Bit of a shame Decided to take myself elsewhere

We love this restaurant and as Miami Beach locals we frequent often. Today, Joanne’s service was kind, sweet and top notch! Also the temperature was finally perfect and not as cold as usual. Thank you!

Amazing experience at the Betsy. Outstanding customer service. Location is perfect in the heart of South Beach. So much to do. The Betsy is truly a treasure. They made us and our 85 pound golden retriever feel super special and welcome. We loved our 3 days there. The rooftop pool is lovely. The library is so peaceful and tranquil. Walking distance to the beach. Right next door to a Starbucks. Loved the pizza at the Alley. Josimar-Fritz was our bellman when we left. He provided outstanding customer service. He took care of every single detail. We absolutely would come back. We were also fortunate to meet the resident golden trying very hard to take a nap near the bar. Ha ha. The owner was super cordial with us. Beautiful hotel in a beautiful place. Can’t say enough good things about it.

I fell in love with the Betsy South Beach during my first stay at the boutique hotel a couple of years ago. It is now my go-to-hotel whenever I visit Miami Beach. It's immaculate, has superior services, spacious guestrooms, upscale dining, entertainment and art. I could stay inside of the Betsy for days and not become bored. There is live jazz, bars with lounges, swimming pools, a library, exercise and a massive collection of black and white framed photos of the Beetles. It's also in a prime spot, the beach and Ocean Drive are just outside the door. I became acquainted with the Betsy a few years ago when the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation housed members there when we came to Miami Beach to tour South Beach's Art Deco District. We had a tight schedule with tours and dining engagements and I didn't get a chance to explore the hotel's dining options. During my last stay, I dove right in. I had dine-in service for breakfast on my first day, then on another day, I had lunch downstairs in the LT Steak and Seafood restaurant. I enjoyed the food and the dining so much that I returned for breakfast the next day. It is no surprise that I had an exceptional experience. Michelin star winning chef Laurent Tourondel is at the restaurant's helm. Familiarity certainly played a role in my superb repeat visit to the hotel. I was thrilled to be welcomed by Fritzer, guest services manager who helped me to get acquainted to the hotel during my first visit; and Juan and Fritz, two very people- oriented bellmen who both have the excellent service roles down. The Betsy is such a haven for me. It fits my style and embraces my interests. I will always look forward to returning to the Betsy.

Loved our stay at The Betsy, such a gorgeous hotel right on the front of Miami Beach. Staff were amazing and so friendly, special shoutout to Juan and Pam who were so lovely and super helpful. Only complaint was that the room had a strong smell of damp, which stayed on my clothes. But other than that, definitely recommend this beautiful hotel!
