The Betsy - South Beach

Our recent stay at the Betsy Hotel in Miami Beach was nothing short of incredible. What truly sets this place apart is the staff—they are exceptional in every sense. Adrian, Josh, Evan,Fritz, Juan, Robert, Cecilia (and so many others) made us feel genuinely cared for from the moment we arrived. By the time we left, we were hugging the team and honestly fighting back tears—it felt like leaving family. The property itself is beautiful and full of charm. The main bar welcomes you like you’ve just walked into someone’s stunning home, and it quickly becomes a place you want to linger. The front patio overlooking Ocean Drive is perfect for people-watching, and the beach is just steps away across the street. The rooftop pool is also a highlight—peaceful, well-kept, and a great place to unwind. A few helpful notes for future guests: the beach setup doesn’t include a bar, so if you’re envisioning full beachside cocktail service, this may not be the spot. The rooftop pool, while lovely, is on the smaller side and could benefit from a bit more staffing during busy weekends. It’s fairly no-frills, but still does the job well. The rooms are comfortable and thoughtfully designed. Given the building’s age, you may hear some hallway noise or footsteps from above, but for us, that was a small tradeoff for the character and warmth of the space. Between the live music, the incredible soundtrack throughout the hotel, and the many dogs roaming around, the atmosphere is vibrant, welcoming, and completely unique. This was the perfect long weekend escape, and we cannot wait to return.

He remembered our names even a year later, asked about our plans each day, and always went the extra mile. Fritz has this rare ability to make you feel like a welcomed guest in someone’s home rather than just another room number. He’s professional, upbeat, and incredibly attentive, yet never over-the-top. In a city like South Beach where service can sometimes feel scripted, Fritz stands out as the real deal—kind, reliable, and clearly proud of the hotel he represents. If you’re staying at The Betsy, do yourself a favor and say hello to Fritz. He’s one of those special staff members who elevates an already great hotel into something memorable. We had an amazing experience at the hotel pool, and a big part of it was thanks to Josh. From the moment we arrived, he was incredibly charismatic, friendly, and attentive. He gave us great drink recommendations, everything we tried was delicious and he always made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. You can tell he genuinely cares about creating a great guest experience. His energy and attitude truly made our day. One of the best service experiences we’ve had, would definitely come back just for him!

We had wonderful time. It’s a very nice hotel, not like an ordinary hotel, it is warm like a home. We will definitely come back. All staff are very kind and professional.
