There are some things that only South Beach can have. The Betsy - South Beach is one of them. This boutique hotel in Miami Beach lives up to its exclusive Ocean Drive address with 61 gorgeous rooms and suites. Heralded in the media - from Marie Claire to Condé Nast - The Betsy is a historic building that to this day maintains its original Georgian design amidst Art Deco surroundings. Beach-inspired and brilliant, the sophisticated interiors feature wooden shutters, chandeliers, and terrazzo flooring, all accented by relics from far-away lands. Your room, with its white lacquered furniture and hardwood floors, offers an ambiance created for relaxation. Modern bathrooms with spacious walk-in showers are a highlight of your haven, while in-room libraries, original artwork, and contemporary electronic connections provoke pleasant thought. Grab a beverage from your mini bar, pull the curtains, and let the South Florida sunshine - and the charm of The Betsy - wash over you.

We stopped for breakfast. A key reason was it had gluten-free bread and several options, including potatoes. Nice outside seating. Decent service. Tea that came in a pot. Good WiFi.

Staying at The Betsy Hotel was the highlight of our Miami Beach trip. The hotel is elegant, warm, and beautifully maintained, with that rare feeling of being both luxurious and genuinely welcoming. What truly made the experience exceptional was the concierge Paul, who went above and beyond. He wasn’t just helpful, he was dialed in. Every recommendation was spot-on, every detail handled smoothly, and he made us feel like we had an insider guiding our entire stay. Paul also connected us with an Art Deco walking tour with Damian, and I can confidently say it was the best tour we did in Miami. Damian is a phenomenal guide, charismatic, knowledgeable, and full of fascinating stories about architecture, hidden design symbols, Miami Beach history. It wasn’t just educational, it felt like stepping into a living time capsule. If you’re coming to Miami Beach and want an experience that feels elevated, authentic, and memorable, The Betsy is the place. Ask for Paul. And do not leave without taking Damian’s Art Deco tour.

We had a fantastic dinner! The filets are amazing and it was the best Caesar salad I’ve ever had. Ask for Aleks- he was a phenomenal server.

Such a lovely fresh lunch in South Beqch where there is so much fried heavy food Joanna looked after us so well. Very informative about the menu and not pushy at all like so many other places. Water melon salad and coconut shrimp sushi were our choices and both were excellent. The complimentary bread (yorkshire pudding style) was a lovely change.

We have just spent 3 nights at The Betsy and loved every minute. All the staff are so welcoming and friendly especially George on the front desk, Gustavo at the pool bar and Mark the bell man. When you walk in the main door it gives Great Gatsby vibes and you could imagine Audrey Hepburn sitting at the bar sipping a cocktail or her favourite scotch. The rooms are beautifully decorated and you feel like you are a guest in someone’s home and not in a massive corporate hotel that adorn the beach further along. We enjoyed it so much we are returning in a few days for our final 3 nights of our American adventure. If you are really lucky you may also encounter the canine CEO, Betsy herself.
