The Betsy - South Beach

In just one day, we fell in love with The Betsy! We were there to celebrate my sister’s birthday & the entire staff, especially George & Fritz (with whom we had the most contact with) were exceptional!! I worked in the hospitality/hotel business myself in Key West for several years & I have extremely high expectations & these two knocked it out of the park! Fritz met us within minutes of arriving, he was very pleasant & welcoming! He assisted us with our luggage & made sure we were comfortable in the vibrant Betsy lobby, he also got our celebration started with a lovely glass of Prosecco! George welcomed me at the front desk, he was perfect! He was very engaging & made our check in process a breeze! He made us feel like he was welcoming us into his home versus just a hotel. We loved our room, it was beautiful, we even had a view of the ocean from our window. The room was very well appointed, while still paying homage to the history of The Betsy! I encourage you to dive into the history of this unique place! We enjoyed an amazing sunrise the next morning, just across the street! When it was time to check out, I called the front desk to request Fritz’s assistance with our luggage & when George answered that call, the first thing he ask was how was the birthday celebration! The fact that he specifically remembered it was my sister’s birthday, definitely felt like we weren’t just another hotel guest! Our check out process, while sad, was also as amazing as our check in, we felt like we were saying so long to friends, not just hotel employees. It was all of the little things, the details that made our stay unforgettable! We already look forward to returning to The Betsy! P.S. I also fell in love with Betsy, the beautiful golden retriever 💙

The Betsy is an amazing, world-class hotel. This was my third stay at the hotel. The first time in 2017, then again in 2022, and now T and W before MDW. The location is perfect. Quiet, yet close to everything! The staff is excellent. Everyone I encountered was helpful. I especially liked Mark and George at the front desk. They treated me like a VIP. Evens was a very kind bellhop. I had a dinner at LT steak and seafood that was like one of the best meals of my life. I got the crabcake salad, the chicken al mattone, and the flan. On the next day, I got breakfast outside, and the view is angelic and beautiful. The waiter shooed away a bird for me! I felt like everyone went above and beyond. The gym is really nice, you can get a great workout in there. And the rooftop pool wasn't busy at all. Maybe 6.people at its busiest. The staff was attentive but not intrusive. The hotel is a little bit of a maze, but with another pool off the lobby, the amazing library, and all the cool art, it's actually fun to get lost. There's also another rooftop with amazing beach views. My only regret is I didn't do yoga there, which they offer! :) The hotel bar is awesome, again, great staff, and the live jazz is just so special. I can't recommend this place enough. Michael the Banquet coordinator went above and beyond to ensure our event was successful. He was attentive and kind and stayed on site outside of his normal hours to make sure our final dinner went off without a hitch for a 50+ person corporate event with external clients and stakeholders. I couldn’t recommend him, his team and his service more!

Nice atmosphere and we loved the golden retrievers and complementary sunscreen. Fritz was very helpful in explaining the hotel layout to us, all the bartenders had great recommendations too!

I had a great and relaxing time. Juan was the absolute best!!! He was excellent in tending to our needs at the hotel. His restaurant recommendations were the best and very well appreciated!
