My husband and I just returned from a wonderful trip to South Beach Miami. We stayed at the Betsy and it was amazing!! Everything about this charming hotel is exactly what we want when we travel. The staff, the atmosphere, the pool and Betsy the golden retriever. We would not stay anywhere else except the Betsy on our next visit to South Beach. We especially wanted to thank the concierge staff Margot and Paul. They went above and beyond to help us each day with dining choices, etc. Gustav at the rooftop pool was very helpful and charming. We met the owners of the hotel and they are friendly, lovely people. This hotel is a little island of paradise amid the craziness of South Beach. There is an actual library in the hotel. Where do you ever find that??? I loved this hotel and would recommend it 100%.

I almost don't know where to start with this review! This little gem has everything but let's start with the location. It is situated right on Ocean Drive in the heart of lots of fun, excitement, music, people watching, restaurants, bars, the beach and more. I mean literally there is just so much to do and see in easy walking distance. The hotel itself is lovely. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. There is an amazing roof top pool with very attentive staff (Bryan) who will deliver food, drinks, towels, umbrellas directly to you and the view of the beach is great. You can also go to another internal pool or the beach which is directly across from the hotel. They have complimentary umbrellas, chairs and towels at the beach. They have jazz in the lounge on some nights. The beds are so very comfy. The hotel restaurant was also better than average. There is a Starbucks across the street for you Starbucks fans or just grab a Cubano coffee at one of the places near by. You can sit out front and people watch which can be very entertaining or just stroll down Ocean Drive. I'd definitely go back and I highly recommend staying at The Betsy.

I enjoyed this hotel in many ways. It was very upscale and high end. The customer service was excellent and the location in South Beach was right across from the beach. My unhappiness is because of the $30 a day resort fee and being charged $7.74 for an espresso coffee. This is not a resort. It is a hotel, and they have no business charging a resort fee. Its a rip off plain and simple. As for the coffee, would you like to be charged $7.74 for a cup of coffee? They even included "service" in the price of the coffee that I was required to pay. So, its fair to say that its a very nice hotel and very nicely located, but they also take advantage of their guests.

We stayed in a suite with our two little kids and loved the hotel. The rooms are not huge, but they are clean and comfortable and the hotel has a lovely atmosphere to it. The restaurant is excellent and the roof top swimming pool is a nice to have, but the key attraction is the location, right by the best stretch of South Beach. The third night for free with breakfast deal helped, otherwise I think we would have found it less good value for money. One thing they should look to fix is the breakfast, which is very limited and served in a gallery style space that is not very child-friendly.

We are very happy to have stayed at the Betsy hotel. The service was excellent, the location was perfect, the room and facilities were great! Both pools, the ground level pool and the rooftop pool, were lovely and not too small. What surprised us was that there wasn't so much people in these areas so it was always peaceful and relaxing to be there dispite a fully booked hotel. The location of the hotel was perfect. Obviously close to the beach since it's on Ocean Drive, but also close to Española way and Lincoln road for nice restaurants and shopping. If I have to squeeze out something negative about the hotel it would be that it is quite a lot bigger than it looks. Therefore it could be a bit confusing with all elevators and floors to find the lobby and some facilities. But with the excellent service from the hotel staff we didn't mind too much, we always got good recommendations and help.
