About the Hotel

There are some things that only South Beach can have. The Betsy - South Beach is one of them. This boutique hotel in Miami Beach lives up to its exclusive Ocean Drive address with 61 gorgeous rooms and suites. Heralded in the media - from Marie Claire to Condé Nast - The Betsy is a historic building that to this day maintains its original Georgian design amidst Art Deco surroundings. Beach-inspired and brilliant, the sophisticated interiors feature wooden shutters, chandeliers, and terrazzo flooring, all accented by relics from far-away lands. Your room, with its white lacquered furniture and hardwood floors, offers an ambiance created for relaxation. Modern bathrooms with spacious walk-in showers are a highlight of your haven, while in-room libraries, original artwork, and contemporary electronic connections provoke pleasant thought. Grab a beverage from your mini bar, pull the curtains, and let the South Florida sunshine - and the charm of The Betsy - wash over you.

You can’t miss this hotel, book now!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 18 hours ago

We are hesitant to write this review because we fear we won’t be able to book a room at this amazing hotel once the word is out. This is the ONLY hotel you should stay in on Miami South Beach. You are immediately greeted by the staff who remember you by name with a welcome glass of champagne (makes you feel like you are in “Cheers” “where everybody knows your name”, but we are aging ourselves). As you enter the soft smell of flowers permeate your senses and you smell this signature relaxing scent all throughout your stay. The rooms are impeccably decorated and the hotel is filled with books for reading and artwork for sale (just roaming the halls is a treat). The food on property is exquisite and our only wish is that we had more time to try it all. The rooftop pool was a relaxing and inviting space with superb cocktails. Our stay was originally one night that quickly turned into two because we just had to stay and enjoy one more night. Miami South Beach is steps away and we had loungers waiting for us on this iconic beach. We rarely share reviews on Trip Advisor but couldn’t resist letting this hotel know that they are the best! A very special shout out to Fritz the bellman, he is a valuable employee that this hotel must treasure, from his bright smile, instant recognition and warm greeting, he truly made our stay special. See you soon!

Eddy at The Betsy

Eddy was the best bartender I could’ve imagined at Betsy’s. My wife and I had just gotten married and Eddy made it very special. I will never forget the service and hospitality he provided for us. We will most certainly be back to relive the experience

Return Stay at Betsy was Superb

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

The Betsy South Beach is my go-to hotel whenever I travel to Miami Beach. It's immaculate, has superior service, spacious guestrooms with comfortable beds and high-end dining. It's perfectly situated for beach lovers. All one has to do is walk across Ocean Drive and continue for a few yards. Culturally, the Betsy has it going on with nightly live jazz, art exhibitions, books and a massive collection of black and white photos of the Beetles. That is just some of what captures my attention when I freely explore the various floors and lobby of the Betsy, because that is what I like. One can find his own niche at the Betsy, even if it is sitting in one of those comfy chairs near the bar in the lobby, or going upstairs to take a nap in the library. During my first stay at the Betsy a few years ago, I was with the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation and I didnt spend much time at the hotel. We were in Miami Beach to tour the Art Deco District and tours and dining engagements filled my itinerary. My schedule was more relaxed this month when I returned to the Betsy for a second time. I rarely dine at hotels vhen I travel, but during my stay, I had room service to deliver breakfast my first day, and on another, I had lunch downstairs in the LT Steak & Seafood restaurant. I enjoyed the food and ambience so much that I returned the next morning for breakfast. It was no surprise that I had an exceptional experience. Michelin star winning Chef Laurent Tourondel is at the restaurant's helm. Familiarity with the hotel and its staff played a huge role in my superb repeat visit to the Betsy. I was thrilled to see Fritz and Juan greeting guests and helping with luggage. Both gentlemen helped me during my first stay, and both helped me again during my second stay. The Betsy is such a haven for me. It fits my style and embraces my interests. I will always look forward to returning to the Betsy.
