The Betsy - South Beach

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was extremely disappointing. I booked a room at a confirmed rate of $760/night. Upon checkout, I was charged $1,140 for that same night. When I contacted the hotel, they did not address the discrepancy between the confirmed rate and the charge. Instead, they cited “average market rates” for the booking date, which does not justify changing a confirmed price after the fact. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this directly, the hotel refused to adjust the charge. Guests should be able to trust that a confirmed rate will be honored. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

Great location—just a few steps from the beach and all the restaurants. The hotel and rooms were nice, clean, and dog-friendly, which was important to us as we were traveling with our dog. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was lovely and our room was quiet. We had lunch and breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant, and everything was delicious. We especially appreciated the dog cookies they offered. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Juan, who made our stay even more enjoyable. Room prices are on the higher end, but it was worth it. We would definitely stay again.

We had a fantastic stay . The staff was very professional and nice ! Mark at the front desk was very helpful. The rooms were beautiful, we did not hear any noise from outside . The beach was accessible and excellent . We had dinner at the LT and it was amazing. The hotel overall is beautiful. Highly recommended

Had a fantastic meal here, and even better service from Pamela. She was super kind and knowledgeable about the neighborhood. The food was fantastic and I will definitely be coming back

If you feel your appetite is hungering for love and attention, a medicine that has only positive side effects, book your stay at The Betsy Hotel!!! Sometimes we haven’t any idea what we’re hungering for until our appetite is enticed! From the moment one arrives, you’ll be welcomed by Juan and Fritz and Evens and others! Here it begins. Next, you’ll meet Kelsey, Fritzner, Hendrik, the Hotel mgr, perhaps Driss and others at check in! Paul, their handsome concierge, will likely greet you! If he’s not doing what he does best! He’s often showing such dedication to the guest suggesting restaurants and all. Your eyes will take in the beauty of his orchids EVERYWHERE! Along with a glass of bubbly, he’ll gladly show you his choice selection of orchids! He’s their caretaker! At the bar, there isn’t a single bartender you won’t love! Genevieve, Adrian, Pam, Robbie, Daniel and more! At the poolside bar, Gustavo, Joel and others will entice you with their tropical creations. Digna, the lovely pool attendee, will be sure you’re comfy and the umbrella is just where you’d like it! Speaking of an appetite, be sure to enjoy The Betsy’s 2 restaurants! When it comes to feeling welcome, Joanne and a striking long haired model -like blonde will likely greet you. From there, you’ll have the pleasure of Jose’, Nathan, Joanny, and a white haired gentleman and a tall red haired so sweet young woman and more! Chance that you’ll meet others too! Aleks and Cesar and Jorge as well as Vivian in housekeeping and another petite lady who’s often making sure the lobby is picture perfect! I only wish I could name all those that filled me with that intense desire to make me feel so very special!!! Should you contact reservations by phone, their manager, Yuseley, will do her utmost to make your first impression of The Betsy the ideal! No more space to write, just be sure to embrace your experience! You WILL feel the LOVE! Their owners, Jonathan and Leslie and their two dogs (the asst mgrs) are often there too.
