We have stayed at The Betsy several times and find it to be the ideal spot for South Beach stays. Our most recent visit reinforced those preferences. The hotel is hip and sophisticated, with far greater charm and intimacy than the loud and impersonal high end super-hotels in Miami Beach. The property combines the tradition of South Beach art deco charm with impressive modern sophisticated upgrades including the rooftop pool and lobby-level piano bar / restaurant. Most rooms are small but rich in appointments and very cozy. Service and attention from staff are uniformly excellent. We want to specifically call out Genevieve in the piano bar who made us feel exceptionally welcomed. We returned each night just to visit her (but the drinks helped too!). The owner / operators also demonstrate a strong sponsorship commitment to Miami Beach and its arts and music scene, which means the hotel is frequently the center of the action in MB. You can certainly find less expensive nearby accommodations, but for discerning travelers, the Betsy is a rich value find. We look forward to visiting again soon.

This hotel was a home away from home and it doesn't get any better than that. It is an intimate space in a historic building which has been beautifully decorated. Everyone who works there makes you feel like you are family and their smiling faces, hospitality, and friendship make you feel good and most importantly welcome. We stayed in a suite overlooking the courtyard pool. It was very quiet as not many people use that pool. There is a stunning rooftop pool which is heated. Everyone was wonderful but I would highlight a few people. Lemeke, a waiter, Juan who really put customer service into action. Yamila was the best host outside dining and extremely helpful. Ari, the concierge was very helpful with all things South Beach and Miami and kept us smiling and laughing. Last but not least Charolette, our housekeeper who we loved for who she was. Thank you everyone....... we will be back next year!

Genevieve is an absolutely amazing person with the most beautiful energy. She deserves a huge raise because to lose her is to lose the energy of the establishment.

Carmin was an absolutely amazing bartender! She was incredibly sweet, genuinely funny, and so kind—it really made the entire experience memorable. She has a great personality, made everyone feel welcome, and clearly loves what she does. Her positive energy and attentiveness truly set her apart. I would happily come back just because of her!
