The Delano is a very nice hotel. I stayed here a couple weeks ago with my boyfriend, and we had a great time. The all white hotel is refreshing and glamorous. It could use an update in some areas, but it is beautiful. The pool was so nice and fun, we didn't even spend that much time at the beach because we enjoyed the pool so much. We ate at the restaurant, Leynia, and the food was incredible. We got a couples massage at the spa and it was amazing. The spa is so relaxing as soon as you walk in, it smells heavenly, and we were offered champagne by Anna who was very warm and welcoming. We had very good treatments by Steve and Regina. After the treatment they showed us the rooftop solarium that had an incredible view of all of Miami. This hotel could use some restoration, but over all a great place to stay if you are looking for a fun elegant vacation.

Delano is so far away from a five star hotel like McDonald from a Michelin Star. If you like Nikki Beach with a opportunity to sleep in the same place you are perfectly happy in Delano. The service is not even average or just unfriendly. Its a catastrophe. You can easily call 5 times the concierge or the front desk. No one is picking up the phone. The rooms and the hotel needs renovation. We had cockroach (la cucaracha/KAKERLAKE) in our room. The pool is still nice like 2000 but as I said its needs renovation all over the place urgently. I can't recommend a single night in that hotel. Reminds me on a model which had the best times long ago but won't it accept that.

The Delano has me torn after a long weekend with the wife. They do a lot of things great, but it's just not a luxury hotel so for the price it's tough to recommend. On the one hand, it's a great scene, lobby is cool, pool is awesome (+ for great Mahi tacos!!), and can't beat the location. Staff is great as well. On the other hand, for $600+ a night there is just not much value here. The rooms themselves are meh, the HVAC is noisy, and securing a lounge chair at the pool can be 'trying' at best. They allow people to race down there at 8am to reserve seats, which then sit empty until 11am leaving many guests relegated to the beach...Dosent sound so bad, right? Wrong. The beach in front of the Delano is like a construction zone (backing up beep beep beep constantly) while they build a structure for some event. Just seems like blatant disregard for guests on a holiday weekend for a hotel this expensive. Granted maybe an extenuating circumstances, but hey, this is a review for MY stay! I doubt they make claims to be in calibre of FS, but for the price, Delano is sure charging like it. You'll certainly enjoy the place if you decide to stay, but IMO, a stop for dinner or a drink at this place seems like a better bet.

I recently stayed three nights at Delano and it was the worst "luxury" hotel. Overall, the rooms are very small, noisy (even on the top floor), the air conditioning would not cool the room and cleaning services were non-existent. There was constant dance music from the restaurant/pool area that played late at night and could be heard from the top floor. The ocean view was small with no balcony. The beach was blocked during our stay while construction was being made for the series of festivals coming up that not only blocked direct access to the beach, but also made an additional set of noise. If you're a tea drinker, the rooms are only equipped with an Expresso machine of which it will take at least 3 complaints after 26 hours for the cleaning service to remove and replace the used cups. Cleanliness was not the priority of the Delano. I have allergies and noticed within a few minutes from my reactions and my own eyes how dusty the room was for our entire stay. The minute I wasn't in the hotel, I didn't have any symptoms. Our tiny room was big enough for two double beds and a tiny broom closet for your clothes. Everything was white, which made the dust, cracks on the floor, and dirty carpet in the room more noticeable. The A/C would not keep the room cool if you tried. I had to set the room at 68 degrees Fahrenheit so it would register the temperature at 76 degrees Fahrenheit. There is a small bathroom with marble tile from floor to ceiling and not shower door. The towels were not replaced unless you asked multiple times for more after the cleaning service took the dirty towels eight hours earlier. The pool was decent, but not worth the headache of the hotel stay. If you wanted to reserve a seat around the pool, ask early in the morning for a reservation as it gets booked quickly. The private cabanas was a $650 non-refundable reservation. The wi-fi didn't work outside of the hotel room and, most noticeably, did not work at the pool. If you want to bring your pet, it is a pet-friendly hotel for $150 non-refundable fee; however, your pet is not allowed on the beach, in the pool area, and you cannot leave your pet in the room alone.

We walked in to a roaming saxophone player accompanied by smooth Sunday beats in the open entryway of the Delano. As we walked through, we saw beautiful food and beautiful people all around us, we knew we were in the right spot! But it didn't just look beautiful, the food was delicious and plentiful, while the service was top notch. We can't wait to go back for another delicious brunch and day at the pool! Thank you for making our trip a special one!!
