Lounge beneath the shade of the oversized poolside umbrellas as delightful small bites are served courtesy of the Delano Beach Club, or retreat to Umi Sushi & Sake Bar for a dining experience that is slightly more traditional, but miles from typical. Old Hollywood has nothing on Whiskey Wednesdays/Speakeasy Nights at Rose Bar, a Prohibition-era inspired bar that is both alluring and enchanting, but do not forget the password, or risk missing the fun. During nights not steeped in the Roaring '20s guests may intensify the night at FDR at Delano, a newly constructed nightclub where the music and the clientele are stylish and sophisticated, like every other aspect of Delano South Beach.

After about 30 trips to South Beach over the years, this has to be one of my favorite hotels to stay in. It's pretty much everything you can ask for in a South Beach hotel. Close to Lincoln Road, great night life within walking distance, wonderful pool and beach clubs, awesome mini bar with reasonable bottle prices, great dining options and clubbing options on property and next-door at one of their sister properties. And of course, very nice rooms with comfortable beds :-) The staff was exceptional, the valet was quick and the hotel is so beautiful you don't even want to leave the property.

Amazing historical hotel. The staff were super attentive, the suites are gorgeous with amazing beach views and the lounges and bar service on south beach is an added bonus. Had some issues with booking. Was asked to pre pay the credit card hold deposit when paying in full online and was asked again to pay the holding deposit on arrival so was double charged despite having the paperwork to show the hold fee had already been approved. We got it back upon departure but it's not a small amount and a hassle when you are under the impression it's already paid and have to pay USD conversion fees twice. Something to be aware of. The lobby art, vibe of the hotel, location, cool staff and overall trendiness of the establishment make up for the mishap and we had a great time. Would 100% return.

I have been here multiple times as a guest for the restaurant but not as a hotel guest. So I booked a reservation for 3 nights. Check in was fine. I made 2 requests which Tameka Simeon helped and she was the most helpful and amazing person in the hotel whom I never met. Being the room service coordinator. She made everything happen. However, front desk doesn't communicate well until you have to communicate and reiterate your orders multiple times. I felt judge as a person who doesn't like to dress like a "typical rich Miami" person when I'm from NYC. I've stayed at multiple luxurious hotels but Delano is not luxurious. Especially the service. There is no coffee machine in the room. They expect you to pay for it, but they pack your room with a lot of alcohol, which of course you know the details behind that. I ordered room service for 2 espressos which took almost 40 minutes to deliver. The gym is located at the basement which the hallway looks and smells like a morgue, NOT LUXURIOUS at all. The service for food. I ordered food at my cabana and we got the food with NO utensils. I requested to reserve 2 chairs by the pool and I was told that they don't reserve on saturdays which is first come first serve but when I got there, I couldn't use the chairs that I chose because IT WAS RESERVED. Now, that got me upset. Bottom line: you HAVE TO LOOK rich and have money I would suggest going to SLS or The Ritz Carlton if your looking for a luxurious hotel. The only luxury Delano offers is their entrance and their pool . Service is extremely poor. Don't get wrong, not all personnel were lacking in courtesy. Just don't expect much. Food is good and brunch is delightful.

Beautiful hotel with exceptional staff. Pool staff was so attentive and so fast delivering excellent service. Drinks and food very pricy but worth it. Special thx to Soledad, Diego, Manuel and Julio at the pool. Eat lunch or dinner at Leyia and ask for Etty who made the service entertaining! We ate at sushi restaurant as well with delicious food. Stay away from the Doheny room unless ur very young and scantily clad. Take a walk on Collins Ave or Ocean Drive all so close. You must visit Joes Crab Restaurant, Prime 112, The Standard, Fountanbleu Hottel and Julia for a beautiful rooftop bar! Temperatures were close to 100 degrees. Loved the Delano and would return in heartbeat.

Another trip to the Delano but now a new owner. We arrived and a number of new faces in the front- all super nice- check in fast, suitcases came up in a minute. Lunch at the new restaurant was excellent, with again friendly service. Now to the pool which is the reason to come- an amazing experience as always- everyone is amazing and there is not one bad person working there, the pool people, the servers all super nice. New bartenders all nice. But of course I can't forget the classics who are the best- Soledad who runs the place so well, its so great to see her every time and if she ever leaves I'm not sure I could return- she along with everyone else makes the place so special. Without her it would just be another pool at a hotel. And then Mariano who runs around so much I'm not sure how he does it without collapsing and is alway asking about our children even though we left them behind this time. Diego I think has been there forever and don't ever let him leave- its always great to see him. Now of course I would name every person at the pool as great! Now some new things at the hotel, the bartenders have to use jiggers to pour alcohol- ??? cmon stop being so cheap- let them pour how they want and give a little extra to the regulars- considering the price of drinks this is stupid- also get rid of the t-shirts the restaurant people wear they look awful and unless you are in perfect shape don't show the best of people- plus they are so thin you can see through them I'm not sure who thought of this uniform but its ugly!!! Then the rooms- they are clean and nice but times have changed and all my friends now want to stay at a newer hotel, though I still love it here- Lets update the rooms, bigger bathrooms, bigger rooms- its time especially with new owners... I know you don't spend much time in the rooms but still its time.. But again best thing is the great people who work there -can't improve that!!!
