Old Hollywood has nothing on Whiskey Wednesdays/Speakeasy Nights at Rose Bar, a Prohibition-era inspired bar that is both alluring and enchanting, but do not forget the password, or risk missing the fun. During nights not steeped in the Roaring '20s guests may intensify the night at FDR at Delano, a newly constructed nightclub where the music and the clientele are stylish and sophisticated, like every other aspect of Delano South Beach.

Another trip to the Delano but now a new owner. We arrived and a number of new faces in the front- all super nice- check in fast, suitcases came up in a minute. Lunch at the new restaurant was excellent, with again friendly service. Now to the pool which is the reason to come- an amazing experience as always- everyone is amazing and there is not one bad person working there, the pool people, the servers all super nice. New bartenders all nice. But of course I can't forget the classics who are the best- Soledad who runs the place so well, its so great to see her every time and if she ever leaves I'm not sure I could return- she along with everyone else makes the place so special. Without her it would just be another pool at a hotel. And then Mariano who runs around so much I'm not sure how he does it without collapsing and is alway asking about our children even though we left them behind this time. Diego I think has been there forever and don't ever let him leave- its always great to see him. Now of course I would name every person at the pool as great! Now some new things at the hotel, the bartenders have to use jiggers to pour alcohol- ??? cmon stop being so cheap- let them pour how they want and give a little extra to the regulars- considering the price of drinks this is stupid- also get rid of the t-shirts the restaurant people wear they look awful and unless you are in perfect shape don't show the best of people- plus they are so thin you can see through them I'm not sure who thought of this uniform but its ugly!!! Then the rooms- they are clean and nice but times have changed and all my friends now want to stay at a newer hotel, though I still love it here- Lets update the rooms, bigger bathrooms, bigger rooms- its time especially with new owners... I know you don't spend much time in the rooms but still its time.. But again best thing is the great people who work there -can't improve that!!!

Super stylish classy ambience at the pool bar for a sun downer. I prefer Mojito or Caipirinha . But be aware when you order a glass of Champagne, that it will be served in a plastic glass at the pool area This really bothered me-:)). . The Restaurant on the terrace is loveley for lunch or dinner with a gorgeous view over to the pool.

Definitely one of the best hotels in Miami. the staff was amazing, poolside area is great, but could be more specious. Kudos to the DJ. Sunday brunch was one of the best brunches I had. Breakfast was really boring, I have never been to a 5 star hotel that does not have an omelette station.

We stayed 6 days at the Delano Hotel. The location is perfect, The lobby is impressive, the pool is nice and the pool bar quite comfortable + access to the beach with very nice staff. Basically 2 things made me rate the hotel average instead of very good : the Hotel is getting a bit old now and would need refurbishing, and our first room was disappointing (the safe was defect and the window not closing properly. we asked to change room and it was much better after. But the first impression remains. Having said that, it remains a good hotel with good service and very well located!

First of all the #1 thing for me was the staff. They were all so nice and helpful and called you by name. This started from the parking attendant, front desk, pool staff, etc. You could tell they really care about customer service. The pool is very nice! I didn't eat at any of the restaurants but there are plenty close by with lots of options. I had an ocean front king room which I will say was not worth the extra money - primarily because the windows are high and small. You had to stand in front of the window to see the ocean. You can't see it from the bed or the chair. The other issue is that the floors are painted wood or concrete with no rugs so you hear people walking above you. That said, the room was lovely and well appointed with lots of fun stuff and plenty of lighting (which is important to me). The bathroom was REALLY small (you had to close the door to use the toilet) but really pretty and had great soaps, etc. Everything was in great condition (some people say not - but I don't agree). Overall the small windows would not stop me form staying here again. It was a top notch property and the staff would be worth the visit alone!!
