Trenton was so amazing…. He was the cherry on top at my stay with the Mondrian. I had issues with my initial room at check in and Trenton quickly made changes to put me in a better room to kick off my birthday celebration. This is one of my favorite hotels in South Beach and with service like Trenton’s you won’t lack anything staying her.

The room was sold to us a high graded quality room. The room is worse than an old holiday inn. Badly painted tired woodwork with thick dripped gloss paint and untidy, uncleaned and poor. The shower doesn’t turn off either and after reporting it because it echoed in the bedroom was not the greatest experience. Poor service and poor hotel overall

NOT RECOMENDED there is so much better on south beach! this Hotel claims to be a 5 star and pictures look lovely but in reality DATED AND OVERPRICED. NOISY ROOM, CARS BEEPING MOST OF THE NIGHT, PIPES SO LOUD WAS A JOKE! TV did not work, Aircon did not work (moved room and was the same still no aircon or TV working) NO utensils, plates or cutlery in kitchenette. (but overprice drinks and snacks filling the fridge and side) NO maid service, NO towels (had to request) then dirty ones piling up in bathroom, bin overflowing, got in un-made bed every night with a EXTRA $153.90 service charge (resort fee) paid at check out and a $600 hold put on your card on arriva, I do blame the travel company I used as well as I should have be told of these fee's when booking and have been told when staying previously but have also had them included in other previous bookings at south beach. When asking part of the service charge (resort fee) is the compementary prosecco on arrival, free internet, free coffee from 7-10am (but obviously hidden) ???? how is this complementary??? Also resort fee is for: Poolside chairs, kayaks & paddle boards (but not in hotel) , fitness centre, fitness classes, 2 hour bike ride, bellman/concierge, business services, wall street journal, (avarage age is over 60's so many not using any of this) WE USE NONE OF THESE BUT HAD THE COMPLEMENTARY PROSECCO AND COMPLEMENTARY WIFI SO HAD TO PAY (BUT I MUST BE STUPID AS I THOUGHT COMPLEMENTARY WAS FREE) So called free coffee we was told in restaurant from 7-10am was non-existant and found on last day on level 3 next to lift outside spa!!! This was overpriced and have stayed in a lot better. We stayed in a 3 star when returning from our cruise which was so much better service and even had 24 hour coffee and hot drinks 24 hours a day !!

I am currently staying here day 3 of 4. Th complaints on service and cleanliness are true. The suite was not clean (e.g other people’s crumbs in the kitchen) when we arrived yet management said I needed to wait until day three to get a cleaning. For five hours now I’ve attempted the get housekeeping to come do a cleaning and no luck yet. Michael at the front desk is polite and promises someone is coming but five calls and still nobody has showed up. Particularly when paying $800/night (Art Basel week), it’s outrageous to have this level of service. I should note that I’ve stayed here multiple times before in past years. Despite the bad reviews , I came here for the large two bedroom suite as I came this time with two friends and most Miami Beach hotels have small rooms. We are in our 40/50’s and well traveled. I’ll update if they ever come to clean but regardless this level of service and cleanliness is unacceptable.
