Life is a Beach.....

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 11 hours ago

This hotel team knows how to make the the guest feel more than welcome than just the Miami Art Deco experience. They take it to tthe next level to allow the guest to experience the saying ... "life is a Beach!". Kudos! Other hotels could learn from this.

Palms Hotel in Miami beach is not worth it

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

When booking the hotel, we thought we found a gem, and it would've been, if it was not for several things that made our experience negative. The property would have been great, but unfortunately under maintained, as multiple elevators were not operating and were always crowded due to that. Wifi although included in the price, was only working half of the time. The rooms had some cleanliness issues, as we were welcomed with a view of another part of the building littered with cigarette butts. On top of that most of the staff was simply uninterested as everything in the hotel had a 20% service charge tacked on top of it. Even if you wanted to get an already overpriced bottle of water in your room, they would add a 20% service charge to it, when most hotels of this caliber will offer water as complimentary. The best thing about the hotel was the location of the beach. It is a very clean stretch of sand and water. If you plan to not interact with any of the hotel staff, spend minimal time in your guest room, not use the overpriced and uneventful restaurants in the hotel, and only spend your time at the beach - it may work for you. However, otherwise, I would not recommend or use this property again.

Lovely Hotel but…

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Lovely hotel but extras are expensive . Valet parking $48 plus they expected a tip. Resort charge was added to bill at $35 a night. As we didn’t get there until 430 pm and the it gets dark at 8pm we didn’t use any facilities but still had to pay. Only one lift was working so the wait was long. Food in the restaurant was very good
