The Palms Hotel & Spa

Phenomenal stay. Christopher Mehmel helped massively ahead of our trip to make this a memorable 3 days in Miami for my family. The pool and food was top drawer. The staff attentive and we will be back. Thank you to all the team

After a 15-day transatlantic cruise from Barcelona to Miami (and a hurricane named Melissa), my partner and I arrived at The Palms with four large suitcases, two backpacks, and great expectations. The gentlemen outside kindly asked if we were checking in — and then graciously watched as we unloaded our own luggage from a Ford Mustang convertible and carried it up the stairs ourselves. Only after we had finished did someone appear with a luggage cart, perhaps to applaud our effort. Our room on the 7th floor was cozy — so cozy, in fact, that the bed practically was the room. The minibar hummed with such enthusiasm that it could have powered the elevator. We reported it, went for a Mimosa by the pool, and returned to find that the hotel’s solution was to add a second fridge, doubling the charm (and the noise). When no one came to remove it, I relocated the new fridge into the hallway myself — which I believe now counts as part-time employment at The Palms. To be fair, the staff were polite, the location is lovely, and the Mimosas are excellent. But if you enjoy a hands-on, do-it-yourself luxury experience with a symphony of humming refrigerators, The Palms is your stage.

We went for our anniversary and loved every minute! Gorgeous property with everything you could want! We loved the pool area and being right on the beach!

Not one for writing reviews, but felt I should after sharing similar feedback directly with the hotel. Great location in Miami Beach with a nice pool and beach access. Most staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the room was dusty, the shower hadn’t been properly cleaned, and we’re fairly sure there were bed bugs (my wife and son were covered in bites). It took three days and two requests to get the TV working. The biggest concern was when our 8-month-old daughter fell ill during the night — the receptionist simply told us to “Google it” when we asked for local medical advice, and no one followed up afterward. I’m sure these issues reflect the actions of a few inattentive staff rather than the whole team, but they really affected our stay. We stayed at another 4-star hotel on the same trip for a similar price — the overall difference between the two (particularly cleanliness and care) was night and day.
