Although we were about 14 blocks from South Beach area and I'm not an expert on hotels in that area, I had compared prices and amenities before choosing this first time visit. My wife and I can not say enough great things about the Palms Hotel and Spa. It was spotless and thoughtfully / meticulously designed and decorated from the lobby to the rooms to the outside tropical haven they have created. It was completely relaxing and full of places to hang and chill. The staff was friendly, attentive, helpful. The price was competitive (reasonable) with no hidden fees and a great spa to get a massage or whatever kind of beauty treatment you desire. I would highly recommend this and personally, we can't wait to get back there and enjoy The Palms for a longer stay next time. You will not be sorry you select this hotel and you'll probably thank me for the advice.

We will definitely be staying at this hotel again. The hotel is beautiful and clean. The restaurant has great service and good food. The pool area is nice and relaxing. Andre our bartender was very friendly and makes a great margarita!

We arrived for a 2 night stay on 4th Nov after a long journey from Lima and allocated by a smiling receptionist room 1105 on first inspection apart from the bathroom not being big enough to swig a cat in it looked good, until someone used the lift that was adjacent which sounded like and vibrated like it was entering the room. On contacting reception they reallocated use room 425 this was a larger room but was over the ballroom which was in full flow complete with booming base that made the rooms floor to reverberate.After a heated visit with the reception supervisor how claimed to have no other rooms available we spent a sleepless night in room 1105 ( with no offer of help carting our bags back and forth) and a promise of an upgraded room for the following night and breakfast inc for our stay.We spent the day on the beach and went to reception late afternoon to get our upgraded room. This was room 1207 a larger room upgraded room but directly above room 1105 with the same noise issues as with the lifts. after another trip to reception and a discussion with a different supervisor we ended up in room 610 a fare smaller room but quiet. We decided to have breakfast in the hotel as offered to find although the surroundings were very nice the quality of the buffet was poor and the service even poorer, to the degree the only service we got on the second day was due to the food and beverage manager taking control. Then to top it all on checking out we were charged $20 odd for breakfast that was offered as a token for our inconvenience. It was unfortunately worth the $20 to leave. Very sad the hotel looks great, has a good location, is clean but the general staff have forgotten they are their to provide a service.

If you imagine it could still be a mess, get over it. There is no sign of Irma anywhere. It was not only perfect, they redecorated the lobby. I recognized the Manufactures, Century and David Francis, along with cutting edge fabric colors. I suspect they quietly upgraded our room. This was our 3rd visit, and I did not remember the room being HUGE. Confey bed, generous desk, and easy to find a hook up for the second computer. JEEZ, I wish more Hotels would catch on and provide for 2 computers. Be sure to catch HAPPY HOUR, the BAR food is great. If you are offered breakfast, TAKE IT. It's actually good. They have 2 Maccaws in an open sided shelter, one quite friendly and the other a little shy. The Red and Gold recognized me. He said YUMMMMM when he saw me ! I always sneak him treats. The staff is quick to respond to requests and very polite. There were some quiet, well behaved pets and children. There was no noise transfer between rooms, and no rowdy in the halls. Easily my favorite hotel on Miami Beach.

My husband & I stayed at The Palms for 5 days 10/28-11/2. We chose this hotel because of the resort atmosphere & location on Miami Beach. Prior to arrival (about a week before our trip) we were notified that the pool would be closed the entire time we were there. Clearly disappointed, we contacted the hotel & were able to make some upgrades to help take the sting off the inconvenience. In addition arrangements were made for access to the pool next door which was nice. The hotel grounds and inside were clean & updated. We loved our room (410) as it had a beautiful view of the beach & sunrise. The beach was perfect. Lots of chairs and umbrellas. The beach was clean. Loved how there was direct boardwalk access. Really nice walk. Our ONLY issue was very rude staff on the beach. The man who set up chairs argued with my husband and seemed inconvenienced to help us on our first morning. At one point the worker said to him "do you work here?" When my husband asked if he could get me a lounge chair bc I was clearly standing and waiting for several minutes (being ignored really). Anyway, the staff inside as well as at the restaurant were very attentive and kind. We had the breakfast buffet daily (complimentary). The food was good but we would definitely not be worth usual $30 a person in my opinion. We did order burgers on the beach one day for lunch & they were delicious. The location of the hotel is not in the busiest part of Miami Beach which we wanted. We did take a ton of Uber's around town which worked out fine. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this hotel to friends.
