We arrived in a hire car and weren't sure about valet parking so I got out to ask about the price etc and was not made to feel at all welcome. Once inside they couldn't do enough for us having our room ready at 10am. Breakfast was a bit confusing and service the 1st morning not great but improved the 2nd 2 days. Our room on the 9th floor was very spacious with great views of the beach and ocean. The lifts were a problem though and on occasions we had to use 1 to the 8th floor and go to another entrance then up the emergency stairs. Glad we didn't have our luggage with us. Drinks at the pool bar expensive as you would expect. Would we stay again? Yes probably but not take a car.

Excellent ocean views, good bar and restaurant service, great access to and walks along the beach. Nice event destination. WiFi dropped in and out constantly over four days which was not great for a business meeting.

My overall experience at the palms hotel and spa was okay but one of things that really made this trip outstanding was my first time ever going to a spa and im so glad i chose here. The place looked and smelled really clean and I felt like royalty with the costumer service provided. Samantha Porciello really took care of me and provided the most amazing healing stone hand and foot service. She was super nice and not only made sure everything was to my liking but was also really friendly and easy to talk to. I would highly recommend Samantha if you’re looking for a comfortable and life changing spa experience here at the palms. Thanks to a wonderful time here at the spa i am now ready to hop on the plane feeling refreshed and relaxed hopefully to return again!!

Location of the hotel is about 20 minute walk to Lincoln Road and maybe 30 minutes to South Beach. Hotel is clean and reasonably spacious and the pool area is also comfortable. We had a city facing room and it was quiet and comfortable, as well as being a decent size. We ate in the hotel a few times and the food is quite good, although not cheap (as with most places on Miami Beach). Beach access is available directly from the pool area. Wi-fi was unfortunately erratic and we could either not connect or the connection was so slow it was unusable. The main lobby lifts were also unreliable and we had to use the other set of lifts which only went to the 8th floor, so we had to continue to the 9th floor via a stairwell. This became tedious very quickly. To be honest I felt that the hotel didn't really justify the price paid and the lift and wi-fi issues were annoying.

We spent four nights at The Palms last week. Great location, beautiful property, lovely back yard/patio/pool area, extremely friendly staff. A couple of minor inconsistencies: * There are two elevators right in the lobby, when you walk in the door -- and every day we were there, one or the other of them was out of order/being serviced. Back and forth the "Out of Order" sign went, from one to the other. Odd. * The restaurant, Essensia, is just OK. Plenty of interesting restaurants in Miami Beach/Miami, so this feels like a place to avoid. But those are quibbles. The room was lovely, the staff seemed genuinely friendly and helpful, and there was a great feeling of calm about the place.
