People say Miami is the least friendly city in the US. Our server at Essencia Restaurant proves that there are many exceptions to this. Michael was incredibly kind to me, my wife and four year-old daughter, who came to the Sands for respite after our power had been out for several days. Michael's impeccable service and genuine character really made a difference in our stay, as he was our server two continuos nights. Genuine, friendly staff make such a big difference, and the Sands is very fortunate to have employees like Michael. - Jim, Sol and Luna

Fantastic place but very expensive but then again it is south beach miami , rooms are fantastic and we had a great view over the beach . The pool area is great with access directly onto the beach which is very nice , only downside was the pushy bell hops who are determined to get your luggage on a trolley so you have to tip them . Three times in ten minutes I had to tell them NO .

Everything about the hotel is wonderful. My husband and I booked this hotel directly on the hotels website to receive a better price and perks! Completely worth it! Not only was the price cheaper than the travel app I use to find "hotels".com; but they also waived the resort fee and upgraded our room and we were able to check in early!!! Bonus! Got 2 complementary adult beverages at the hotel bar for posting our reservation on Social media. Check out with the hotel first before booking elsewhere, yeah it might not add up to your "free" night on the other sites but it was worth it in price and upgrades! Everyone that worked there that we met were professional and very nice! The hotel grounds were beautiful, steps away from the beach! Never swam in the pool but we did a lounge beside it and order tableside service which was very slow but when you're on a laid-back relaxing vacation I don't really mind when things are a little slow. We drank at the bar! Great farm to table drinks! So delicious! Never got to eat at the restaurant or go to their spa (it was spa month and they were booked full) so no review. The room was clean and well maintained! I live the turn down service! It's a sweet jester to have the sheets pulled back and little chocolates left on the pillow after a long day of sightseeing and beaching. We ubered everywhere we wanted to go or walked. Uber's are everywhere and very cheap. We took an Uber from the hotel to downtown for less than $15; keep in mind the cab fare from the airport to the hotel was $35! Needless to say we took Uber back to the airport when we left! Less than $15!

Our stay at this hotel was just great. The staff were attentive and provided us with all the weather for our baby. Bed and bath for baby. This allowed us to fully enjoy our room and the wonderful pool

I recently stayed at the Palms Hotel and Spa for an extended Labor Day weekend and must say I was overly impressed. I have stayed at larger 5 star hotels and smaller boutique hotels but none of them come close to the Palms. I loved staying at this mid-size hotel because they are able to offer the services of the larger hotels but give you the personal service of a smaller hotel. This property is extremely well run! The entire staff was extremely helpful. The concierge, Karina Jureko as probably the best concierge I have ever met. She was able to direct me to some amazing restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner. She did not only recommend high priced restaurants but recommended ones that were affordable. Normally, I do not trust the recommendations of most concierges because I like to use Yelp and Zagat and find my own restaurants but Karina really knew her restaurants as well as suggestions on where to go and what to do. I travel a lot both on business and family vacations and I highly recommend this hotel.
