Booked 3 nights here last Spring and hated it so much we checked into another hotel. The rooms are extremely old and unkempt with disgusting concrete floors and furniture from the 70s. The only reason they are in business is because of the prime location on the beach. Paper thin walls and I was up all night from the sound of people in the next room doing drugs. I would rather eat glass than stay here again.

...even before you walk through the doors. Booked Raleigh hotel mid-December '17 for a stay early February '18. Saw on an interior designers Instagram page that the hotel wouldn't open until '19 so I inquired. They assured me it would open and the interior designer deleted the post... very fishy. I have been checking the website and all it says is "Reservations will remain closed for stays through December 31, 2017," even though it is 1/12/18 and the hotel has yet to open. Today, I receive an email that I have a reservation at Shore Club... so I call. Apparently they moved my reservation there. No phone call, no personalized note, nothing... just an automatic email as you would get if you made the reservation on the Shore Club site. So I called and they had to explain this and then I cancelled. Very disappointed with the lack of messaging and communication. Shore Club is by no means a comparable hotel from an experience or cost point of view.

We booked a 3 night stay in November to experience what was supposed to be one of the most unique and classic hotels in Miami and paid a premium price. The hotel closed as a result of hurricane Irma. This was out of everyone’s control and understandable. This review is about the experience that followed. We were not informed for months that the hotel closed. Not one email or phone call. We only noticed, the night before our trip, on the hotel’s website (in very small print and at the bottom of the page) that the hotel was closed and that we would be transferred to another property. We then spent hours on the phone trying to figure out where we were transferred to. We had to speak to several supervisors to find our reservation. Then we were told that we would stay at the Shore Club Miami—a property that is not comparable to the Raleigh. We then had to argue to be placed in a hotel that was more comparable and was finally placed at the SLS South Beach. SLS was not aware of our situation and there was no communication between the hotels. If we had been notified we would have elected to postpone our trip to stay at the classic Raleigh. We were given no notice, choice, or even an apology for this horrible experience. There was no empathy or desire to try to fix the mistake of not providing us notice. We have called the Raleigh to speak to a supervisor and file a complaint and have been given the run around. I was supposed to get a call back from management and have not been contacted. Management want to pass the buck to Expedia, and Chase Reserve at the cost of the guest. While a hurricane is out of everyone’s control. The service and courtesy of being notified and given a choice was within the Raleigh’s control. I am still waiting for a phone call from the Raleigh’s management. I am still wondering how our stay at a classic Miami hotel would have been.

We came here second time because its the only hotel that we knew of had chilled pool. The daytime reception service is great. The nighttime however was very uncomfortable. The rooms on pictures look 5 star but in reality its more like a motel 6 quality. Original building which is cool and they restaurant is amazing. $10 bicycle day rentals. If you lay on beach($19 chair rental) at hotels designated area you can get drinks and food brought out all day long which was really fun. I don't think we'll ever return here. Planning trip in January will be staying at smaller more updated quality hotel for way less.

Enjoyed my 5 night stay of a last minute trip to Miami at The Raleigh. Had a spacious room. Loved the boutique style. Not overcrowded. Hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. My on gripes are the fee for bike rental which should be included in the hotels fees and the dirty carpet. No hotel should have stained carpet.
