Reviews for Room Mate Lord Balfour
Stayed at the Room Mate Lord Balfour in Miami just for one night. We had a cruise departing the next day. I looked in to several hotels and read lots of reviews before deciding to book here. This was the right choice! The location is perfect! In South Beach near all of the action, but towards the end of South Beach so it was peaceful. The staff at this hotel were amazing. Though we ventured out for food, we did have a few goodies at the bar there. The only three downsides to this hotel were: 1. No pool. I automatically assumed there was a pool, but nope. It is a two minute walk from the beach though. 2. The bathroom was really tiny. Again not a big deal because the price was great. 3. View from the room on the 2nd floor was of an alley. There were delivery trucks coming down it, so we had to keep our curtains closed. But even with these minor things, still had a great stay. They are about 15-20 min from the Port of Miami. Will for sure book here again.
One block from beach, loved walking to everything we needed wanted. Loved picking up healthy breakfast at Purevida, bringing it with us to Southpoint Park, sitting on bench watching cruise ships go by. For lunch we picked up a healthy Buddha bowl at Simple Food and brought it to beach. The water was warm and shallow. Favorite dinner was Poseidon. All restaurants were nice and included gratuity. Nice service everywhere but very laid back, took time bringing check, vacation mode. Nice shopping, Heed Spa was great, best massage ever 50 min for $95 included tip. Anice was super professional and helped relieve muscle tension in neck.

We had a great time. The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The staff is very friendly. You can’t beat the location. Right across the street from the beach. Hotel provides beach towels, beach chairs and umbrellas which is great. The breakfast buffet is good but nothing spectacular. A la Carte is preferable. We had a great time!!!
This is a place to avoid. Pictures do not tell the story. Unless it is one you take after arriving. Our first room had a loud hissing sound upon entry. It is impossible to accept that the cleaning service missed it. So we went to another room. This on the alley. Noise? Yes. Clean? No. Small? Incredible attempt to convey a multi star hotel for the price we paid of $360 per night plus beach fees. The room was not clean. The internet didn’t work despite calls to service and the manager coming in to help. He also had trouble making our TV work which finally after a half hour of trying went on with a fuzzy picture. Never mind that you can not find it from the street because there is no real signage. Never mind that you have to carry your bags because there was no valet at around 6pm on a Saturday. Never mind that no one tried to help with the bags and there is no ramp. I have no idea how they accommodate disabled people. There are so many other choices. Avoid this place unless you want to write a negative review

A gem on ocean drive, centrally located but away from craziness. Clean cozy room, welcoming staff. There’s a restaurant downstairs with good food. The GM Adnan is very professional and knowledgeable, thank you.
