With some of the just ok reviews I was a little nervous about our stay at the royal palm. But our stay was amazing!! Upon arriving we were upgraded to a King suite with views of the pool, the room was so spacious and everything is new and upgraded. The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect, everything within walking distance. The beach was great pool was good not amazing but was everything we needed! Would definitely come back to the Royal Palm!!

This is the first time on vacation that I am looking forward to going back home. The noise in the room is awful, it's like there is an airplane engine running non stop, I don't know if the hotel can do anything about it but they should warn people, or not put them in the rooms that are so noisy. The beds are creaky and uncomfortable and the pool, is a joke. I am truly disappointed. First and last time here.

Just stayed here for a quick weekend trip May 19th. Overall this hotel is OK. I would not stay here again but I was able to tolerate it for the time I was there. The lobby is actually nice and the staff was very friendly. I received great service from everyone in the restaurant and at the beach. With you resort fee you get access to bikes which is a nice touch. The location is also good as you can walk to just about everything. It also has easy beach access which was nice (minus the crazy amount of seaweed). The resort fee also provides 2 beach chairs, towels and complimentary bottled water. If you want an umbrella though you have to pay an additional $19. The pool is very small for the size of the hotel. There is no way it could remotely accommodate the number of guests. The have chairs stacked on top of each other but if you have say 20 people in the pool it's too much. While the lobby and pool area looked nice, the rooms are just plain tired. The rug in the room was just plain dirty and overall I didn't want to put my bare feet on the floor. The entire floor had a weird odor as well (10th floor). It smelled like chlorine and dirty towels. The lighting is bad and the room is very small. The bathroom was also worn and the tile grout was dirty. You can also hear everything in the halls and above you. Thankfully I didn't really spend very many hours in the room. Next time I'd pay more and stay next door at Loews which is by far a much nicer hotel.

Do not stay here if you want a relaxing holiday with no aggro!! Didn't get the room we had initially booked and when told we were given an "upgrade" realised this room was half the size of the one we booked but still got charged the same amount. The view was poor and the window didn't open. Complained but they said they couldn't do anything until tomorrow. What rubbish. The desk staff were ridiculous and kept fobbing us off with excuses. In the end we were so tired from the flight we just crashed on the bed. Also our friends had to wait 6 hours for their room to be ready and had to leave their suitcases in our tiny room. Not what I'd call a holiday. Never again at this place.
