Stayed the end of April. Hotel lobby is beautiful. Art deco decorations. Check in was smooth with Isaac. Room was OK. Furniture was all chipped and in need of a facelift. No sliding doors to sit outside. Pool was a disappointment. Location was AMAZING. Right near everything. Lobby was excellent to watch hockey playoffs. Loved the bar.

The hotel staff was nice and welcoming but overall would not recommend this place for families… not a single kid friendly item on the menu.. no pasta… and no desserts.. breakfast buffet was just adequate.. no pancakes… also they must be the ONLY hotel in Miami who charge for umbrellas on the beach… beach chairs are so run down…. Our friends who stayed at a best western had better chairs with umbrellas included for free… seriously do better

The experience was so great. Chris was so helpful and really cared about our stay here. The room was very clean and the view was amazing. Location was really close to everything. Chris recommend some great food spots and was very welcoming and got us checked in early

THEFT in hotel room and poor customer service.

I need to warn you about a THEFT that happened during my recent stay at the Royal Palm Hotel from April 16 to 18. I was there for a work conference, and I've stayed there before, so I thought it would be safe. However, while I was at the conference on April 17, someone took $100 from my bag that I had left in my room. When I told the front desk, they didn't seem to care at all. They didn't even apologize or try to help me. Then, when the security supervisor, Mr. Mark M. got involved, things got even worse. Instead of helping, he made me feel like I was to blame for not reporting the theft sooner. It was really upsetting. I also sent them an email explaining what had happened, but I never received a response. I've trusted Marriott hotels for a long time, almost 25 years, so this experience really shook me up. To me, this is not only about the monetary loss but rather the vulnerability that I experienced. Thankfully, I only had $100 in my bag. I don't know what would have happened if I had more. I hope the hotel takes this seriously and does something to make sure it doesn't happen again. And I think they owe me an apology and compensation for what happened.
