Where do I begin? We booked three rooms in March for a girls trip of 11 in July. When we arrive the rooms were not available until around 6. They are understaffed and lack basic accommodations. We had 2 washcloths and 2 towels in each room and now coverings for the pull out couch. Each day we had to ask for more. They have a dishwasher in some units with no dishes. They would benefit so much more if they have washer and dryer's versus a useless dishwasher. The food is overpriced, lobby smelled of poop everyday and the pool chairs were filthy. Although, the staff was nice and friendly, it was not enough for me to boost their stars. Location is perfect, but some serious renovations need to occur asap.

Nice pool but no bar attendant. Lots of lounges but all vacant. Restaurant empty. $45 valet per day and $25 daily fee (so $70) above whatever you pay for your room. Room was nice but view was poor. Large lounge area with frig and microwave ( frig full of pay to use goods.....almost no personal room). Good location close to Lincoln and Collins Streets. So we walked and didn't use the car. Nearby cheaper parking at Loews. Easy access to boardwalk.

As a member of the media, I travel and stay at many hotels. I must say that every time I visit Miami, I stay at the Sagamore Hotel. It is always such a pleasure there. The staff, from reservations to the front desk, go out of their way to ensure a wonderful visit. The suite in which I stayed was fabulous with a spectacular view of the ocean. It was clean, spacious and luxurious. The front desk staff, especially Mariano, was exceptionally professional, welcoming and intent on providing the best customer service. As always, the reservations manager, Tatsiana, was superb! Even the young men helping with the chairs on the beach were extremely courteous and engaging. The Sagamore values their guests and makes every stay worthwhile!! Bravo!!!

My family and I spent a long Fourth of July weekend at the Sagamore. Our sons are grown, so we booked a suite for them and one for us. I feel compelled to review the hotel because our experience was definitely better than some travelers who rated it lower, and we had mostly minor quibbles. Our suites were generally clean and spacious. The full-size refrigerators allowed us to keep food in the room and make our own breakfasts. (But the pastries at Rosetta bakery across the street are to die for.) The hotel's big plus, of course, is its location on the beach. It was great to be able to walk through the pool area, cross the path, and hit the sand. The pool could have been a bit cleaner, but the water was warm and the pool is generally well-staffed. However--music is blaring through the speakers all day long. I know my age is showing here, but it would have been nice to have a quiet hour in the morning to sit by the pool. Also, the music from the Delano, two doors down, is crazy loud. Regarding service, our experiences gave us little room for complaint. Towels and linens were delivered promptly, housekeeping worked with us if we wanted to stay in our rooms, and everyone was uniformly polite. However, If you're an early riser like I am and prefer the beach in the morning, you can't get a towel til about 9:30. On busy days they can run out. I ended up buying a cheap one at the nearby Walgreen's. Now for the cons: bar drinks at the pool are small and pricey and the food looked unappetizing. We didn't eat or drink there at all due to the strong smell of mold in the lobby--the biggest downside of the place. It's a shame, because the bar is nicely decorated and cozy, the lobby art is beautiful, but all you want to do is walk through it quickly because of the odor. This issue must be remediated--this review would have been four stars otherwise.

We stayed at the Sagamore Hotel last week and were sorely disappointed with our stay. I would like to start with the positive by saying, it is in an excellent location. everything is either within walking distance or a short Uber ride away. The beach is out your back door and this is also a very nice perk of the hotel. Unfortunately, be advised... if staying at this hotel you are paying simply for that, location and the beach access. When we arrived we found that the pool view suite we booked through Booking.com was not what we received. That was fine at first since to upgrade we would have had to pay $50 a night. We visited the room they gave us and were mortified. The couch was riped and filthy. There were crumbs on the table and there was no tub. Apparently, it was a handicap room, (which I will also say is a perk to this hotel. It is Handicap accessible even in the pool). We finally, after quite some time, late at night after traveling, managed to switch to a cleaner room or so we thought. Traveling with three people we had a couple in one room and a single on the pull out. There were glass doors with no privacy (later we were provided with shades that were stained). Throughout our stay our sheets were not changed until we requested. They refolded the bed only without changing the linens. This was proved because I dropped something on the sheets the first night and on the 4th the stain was still there. The cleaning was horrific. The duvet was graying and only covered by two loose sheets and no actual duvet cover. This was disgusting. The bed also had no fitted sheet. Some other points were the wifi did not work the entire trip even though we reported this and all have different cell coverage and the pool furniture was pretty dirty too. There was a smell the entire time and a poo in the hall way. Overall, when we mentioned this they comped up one umbrella for the few hours left of our last day a credit of $19 and a lack luster apology. Worst hotel stay I have experienced in a long time when we thought we were vacationing at a luxurious hotel and were so looking forward to it by the reviews. I, myself, never write a review but this one had to be done. To end on a positive note, if you are staying at this hotel, the art is interesting and if you pop across the street you can have a latte and croissant or excellent focaccia at Rosetta.
