My wife spent a long weekend here to enjoy the pool parties and South Beach fun. We have stayed here several times before. Due to our own fault we ended up in probably the smallest room in the hotel. Way too small for two people. The second day we spoke to Yomaira Munive in guest services. Within the hour she had us in a much nicer room and made sure we were happy. We went on to spend a fortune at the pool and loved every minute of it. (See review of Hyde Beach) . This is the hotel to stay at if you want to be close to the party. The staff wants to make sure you treated well and want to return. Which we will!

The hotel was incredible and the staff impeccable. They were so helpful, friendly and kind. Our room overlooked Miami Beach and it was just beautiful. The double headed shower was a dream! In walking distance of everything, I couldn't think of a better place to stay.

The unparalleled customer service from pre-checkout to post-checkout made my birthday experience amazing! Not only was the experience impeccable, but it was also very personal. Thanks to Sara and Vio my friend and I had the most fun and relaxing weekend at the hotel, pool and beach. Their small attention to detail Concierge: With text messaging, always accessible and very personal. Room: the view of the ocean was great and refreshing in the morning, Most comfortable robes. SLS Pool party: A BLAST Hotel Breakfast: All house made jam, yogurt. Extremely fresh and gourmet. Katsuya Japanese Restaurant: Amazing sushi!

Wow, what a great experience at the SLS. Days before we arrived we received a nice email from Vio, the concierge, stating he was looking forward to our stay, and for anything we needed he would be happy to assist. And it just wasn’t lip service. SLS delivered for our entire stay. I should bring this up. We weren’t on any sort of package or high roller program. We are from Dallas, and, away from the kids for a few days, were looking for a quick getaway hotel in SoBe with a cool and fun vibe. We selected SLS over the Delano and the Ritz. The SLS is a smaller boutique type of hotel. I am guessing, but I think they have approximately 100 rooms, maybe less. A 20 minute Lyft ride from the airport brought us to the hotel, and right when we pulled up the doorman, who introduced himself as Melvin, was there to great us and take our bags. We entered the reception area and were met by Gary, the manager on duty, and Sara, the concierge. They could not have been nicer, and promptly had us checked in with a dinner recommendation/reservation that evening for STK. As we left to find the elevator, Gary stopped us offering a free bottle of wine to our room. We took him up on his offer, and enjoyed a complimentary bottle as we put away our belongings. What a nice gesture that was! STK restaurant throws “dinner parties” on Monday night. They always have a DJ, but Monday nights, as the evening rolls on, the restaurant turns more into a club type of atmosphere with dancers and more “vibe” (don’t get a reservation before 9:30!). I asked Melvin (who relayed to Gary) we wanted to be “in the middle of the action”, and thanks to their help, we ended up with one of the best tables in the restaurant. Also, after our meal, a dessert was brought to the table compliments of Gary at SLS. The next day Sara arranged reservations for us at Bagatelle. Again, we were escorted from our hotel ride (see below) straight into the restaurant, with a great table for two in a great spot. Bagatelle, a modern French restaurant, has very friendly servers and efficient service, and a 80s retro vibe complete with a Pac-Man machine and superhero paintings (sounds weird, but it works). The dinner party and crowd at Bagatelle was even better than STK! We had a blast thanks to Sara’s recommendation and reservation. SLS offers rides to their guests in decked out BMW 7 Series. The back seats recline and have massaging units. This is more of a gimmick of course, but cool for sure. Melvin (from above) was our driver a couple of times, and Ngozi a couple of other times. Each time we interfaced with them, they asked how else they could accommodate us, and if there was anything we needed to please let them know. The 3rd evening we were going to eat at Bazaar in SLS, but we had several of their dishes (delicious) in the outdoor lounge by the pool, so we decided to try something different. We picked out a nice Italian restaurant based on Yelp research. However, when we ran this by Vio, the concierge on duty at that time, he said that was a good choice, but we might consider Forte dei Marmi instead. We took his recommendation and had a romantic dinner in a beautiful dining room with a cool vibe. I would highly recommend this restaurant, and thanks Vio for the recommendation! The people who work at SLS are genuine and thrive to provide the best service possible. All the people I have mentioned here greeted us by our names during our entire stay. And while they do this for everyone, they continually make you feel like a special guest always. Our room faced the ocean from the 8th floor and had a fantastic view. Rooms are smaller in South Beach, but SLS’s was a good size for the two of us. Extra hangers were provided to accommodate our clothes. The shower has a 14 inch rain head with plenty of power. Seriously the best shower I have ever had. It’s like standing in a pouring rain, but with hot water. Awesome. The rooms are decorated with a very cool vibe. There are two pools. One for guests only, and the other for Hyde Beach (a pool club). You can walk freely from one to the other, and then directly out to the beach. The beach attendants were just as helpful and friendly as the staff in the hotel. We mainly stayed around the pool areas which have a great relaxing vibe. We didn’t see a single kid our entire stay, which was nice since we were getting a break from ours. Hope this helps anyone considering SLS. This is a great choice for South Beach (might be the best choice)!

I have to travel a lot for work these days and SLS turned it from a "work trip" to a full-on vacation. I was genuinely sad to leave! From the front desk to the pool staff and the housekeeping: I've never been made to feel more at home in a different city. Thank you! My only bit of feedback? Please give that duck mascot a name!
