SLS Hotel South Beach in Miami Beach, Florida
Collins Avenue newcomer SLS Hotel South Beach tops Miami’s “It List” for its celeb-studded restaurants and nightlife, the two elements that define the SLS brand. José Andres makes his Miami debut with The Bazaar, and acclaimed sushi chef Katsua Uechi brings a second high-profile restaurant to the mix. Cabanas at the beachfront club Hyde Beach are almost as sultry as the rooms – designer Philippe Starck modeled them like a modern-day boudoir of Louis XV’s mistress, with French furniture and mirrored ceilings.
The Atlantic Ocean glitters right out your window, but you might have a tough time deciding whether to leave your sumptuous room. Order room service with champagne for breakfast. Don a Valentino swimsuit and saunter through the halls of this former Art Deco palace. Claim a poolside lounge chair and order a Burning Mango cocktail made with Grey Goose L’Orange vodka, Serrano pepper and mango juice.

Reviews for SLS Hotel South Beach
We were sent to this hotel as a replacement for the Raleigh which was still closed post Irma. Wow. Really cool design, inside and out. Yes room was small but we were only there for one night and coped, any longer and might have been a problem. The hotel has a reputation for pool parties on Sundays but we were there Monday and all was quiet. Very expensive, we ate and drank out. Useful courtesy Car we used to get to 1st Street. Ocean Drive and Lincoln Rd both close by and walkable. We enquired about the cost to have late check out which was essentially the cost of another night’s stay so we walked away and the receptionist called us back and gave us a courtesy late check out for an extra 2 hours, so be careful. I can’t give 5 stars due to cost of drinks and food but also some parts of the service let them down eg we asked if they could make a reservation at a restaurant we wanted to go to that evening only to find out when we got there that they don’t take reservations and we hadn’t been told. Only lucky that we managed to get a table when we walked in. we also asked for some ice to be brought up to the room and it never arrived. Is recommend a stay just cos it’s so cool.
Originally booked in The Raleigh only to find out 12 nights before arriving that the hotel would not be open due to hurricane damage. We were disappointed to learn this but after requesting to be moved to the SLS we could not have been happier We arrived early after our drive from Naples and were greeted by really friendly door staff and reception staff who were able to check us in early. When we walked into the lobby it was a WOW moment it is so different to any other hotel we had stayed in on our trip it’s modern it’s quirky it’s bright and full of ‘bling’ We got the same reaction when we walked into our room and when we went out to the pool and bat areas Whilst the room is small by American standards it’s the norm WiFi and beach or pool chairs and towels come as part of the resort fee as is a courtesy car to take you where you want to go which we used to get to Ocean Drive We were able to get a complimentary late check out till 1pm which helped as our flight was not until 5.30 Only spent 24 hours at the hotel but The memories will last a lot longer

My fiancé and I stayed here for a night when coming back from a longer vacation, so while we were looking for a good location it wasn’t our top priority. I guess it depends on what you’re going for but for the price the location is about the best thing here (aside from the Bazaar and the shower!) The room was very clean although it was small and I’m talking TINY. Even the shower was extremely narrow. Speaking of the shower it was an amazing rainfall shower head. That along with the shower products were probably the biggest pros of the room itself. Bathroom: - Terrible lighting - Barely any room - Great shower head and water pressure - Shallow sink (not that bad but not ideal) - Nice shower products Room: - No closet. I can’t imagine staying there for longer than a night with two people and where you would be able to put any clothes. There was a like 6 inch bar with some hangers off the top of the minibar stand. That’s about it. - Very clean - Plenty of mirrors (sliding mirror door to the bathroom and even a mirror above the bed). Hope you don’t mind hearing anything going on in the bathroom though because the bed is two feet from there. - This hotel has been super hyped up so I expected a bit more in the overall design. Around the perimeter of the room there were tapestries hung. I liked the look but it’s a bit cheap looking when they look like glorified patterned shower curtains lining the walls. I’m not trying to bash on this place it’s just what I was looking for with this particular trip and what you’re looking for with yours. Good for if you’re in town for the nightlife and to party with minimal time spent in the room itself. Bad for if traveling for work or having a low-key trip where the room is more of a necessity.

From Check in to Check out this place was great, clean room, great restaurants and fantastic atmosphere. The pool was warm and on the beach the chair and food services were excellent. Def recommend staying for couples.

We went to Miami for a pause from our busy lives. The plan was simple: nice hotel, great food and lots of beach time. PJ and his crew were extremely nice, courteous and helpful! They made our 3 days stay a better experience! Thanks for the great service!
