SLS Hotel South Beach in Miami Beach, Florida
Collins Avenue newcomer SLS Hotel South Beach tops Miami’s “It List” for its celeb-studded restaurants and nightlife, the two elements that define the SLS brand. José Andres makes his Miami debut with The Bazaar, and acclaimed sushi chef Katsua Uechi brings a second high-profile restaurant to the mix. Cabanas at the beachfront club Hyde Beach are almost as sultry as the rooms – designer Philippe Starck modeled them like a modern-day boudoir of Louis XV’s mistress, with French furniture and mirrored ceilings.
The Atlantic Ocean glitters right out your window, but you might have a tough time deciding whether to leave your sumptuous room. Order room service with champagne for breakfast. Don a Valentino swimsuit and saunter through the halls of this former Art Deco palace. Claim a poolside lounge chair and order a Burning Mango cocktail made with Grey Goose L’Orange vodka, Serrano pepper and mango juice.

Reviews for SLS Hotel South Beach
I was blown away by my ocean front room. The shower was unreal. It was the best shower of my life. I am definitely coming back next year in late march for round two. So please get ready. Also the interior of the room was beautiful. I didn't get a chance to go to Hyde but next year I definitely will go.
I enjoyed my stay. The staff were very helpful. The location is perfect. Pool parties are amazing. They gave us free access to the pool parties. Top 3 hotels in Miami. Nervo the famous DJ was staying there, we met her in the lobby.

The SLS charges luxury prices but the one on south beach is NOT luxury. We arrived and we were put in a room that smelled like chain smokers. The entire stay you could hear other guest partying with loud music. Then they notified us that they were having their Music Festival event (this was not listed on the website prior to booking). as guests you had to wear wrist bands and were hugely inconvenienced as parts of the hotel were closed off including access to the pool at certain times. The staff for the event were extremely disrespectful. Loads of crowds were at the hotel for the event, it was a huge nightmare. The staff did not want to allow access to the pool because they were setting up for the event. Instead of worrying about attending to their guests. The hotel with taxes per night was $1000 but the service and stay was only worth $200. I would only recommend this to a 22 year old on spring break.
My husband and I visited this lovely hotel in February for Valentine's Day. We stayed in one of the Villas--absolutely beautiful! Very large room--lots of space. A balcony overlooking the pool. When coming back from dinner one night, the staff placed a tray of warm cookies near the elevator. Nice touch. The pool in the back of the hotel (they have two pools) is where we spent our days while there. The staff would set us up with cushion covers and towels and were extremely attentive. The margaritas, mojitos and sushi were outstanding!! Included in our room was the daily breakfast buffet--much more interesting choices than your typical buffet. The hotel staff were wonderful and very receptive. For those travelers looking for a party, Friday and Saturday nights out by the pool offer loud music, bottle service, great food and beautiful people!

Very nice place. The location is great. Staff is friendly and rooms are clean. I would recommend a hotel more to the north, as South Beach was a little too crazy for us. The concierge staff needs a little more training.
