SLS Hotel South Beach in Miami Beach, Florida

Collins Avenue newcomer SLS Hotel South Beach tops Miami’s “It List” for its celeb-studded restaurants and nightlife, the two elements that define the SLS brand. Josť Andres makes his Miami debut with The Bazaar, and acclaimed sushi chef Katsua Uechi brings a second high-profile restaurant to the mix. Cabanas at the beachfront club Hyde Beach are almost as sultry as the rooms – designer Philippe Starck modeled them like a modern-day boudoir of Louis XV’s mistress, with French furniture and mirrored ceilings.

The Atlantic Ocean glitters right out your window, but you might have a tough time deciding whether to leave your sumptuous room. Order room service with champagne for breakfast. Don a Valentino swimsuit and saunter through the halls of this former Art Deco palace. Claim a poolside lounge chair and order a Burning Mango cocktail made with Grey Goose L’Orange vodka, Serrano pepper and mango juice.

I am must admit that I am extremely picky when it comes to choosing a hotel...but I actually like this small little quaint boutique hotel right on South Beach. Yes the room is very small but well decorated and clean. Everything in the room is good quality, bed is nice and firm, sheet is clean and they have a fine quality bath lob. Breakfast is very nice and absolutely fine ....Dinner at Bazaar is a really good dining experience. Only odd thing about this hotel is the hall way and it is bit weirdly dark and just does not go well with rest of the hotel.

I just want to start of by saying, it has been extremely hard writing this review as I have certainly struggled with finding the words to describe the outstanding stay and service we have received at the SLS Southbeach (I have also had to fight back the tears whilst writing this review). My Friend and I stayed at the SLS for 7 nights over Labour Weekend and it has been the most tremendous, remarkable, impressive, extraordinary,10/10 & flawless stay that I have ever had world wide. From the moment we checked in, my friend and I were greeted by Chris the Bellman who took our Luggage for us and offered us water whilst we were waiting at Reception. Once it was our turn to check-in, Manager Gary and SLS Concierge Service Freddy (Welcomed us) and checked us in. However, we were also upgraded us to a breath-taking sea-view room and all our requests were accommodated to. Once in our room, we were welcomed by sweet treats and a lovely welcome letter. Honestly, I couldn't believe how beautiful the room was, everything was perfectly presented and after having read previous reviews regarding the rooms being 'small', I was even more surprised how massive the rooms were. The Bathroom was also spacious and clean and the amenities smelled delicious! Honestly, I cannot fault anything regarding the Rooms and Bathroom! The rest of the Hotel is also fantastic. Breakfast at the SLS was also lush, especially Brunch on a Saturday (has Caviar, Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Bagels and Fresh Fruit). The Pool area is clean and serviced and the Hyde Pool Parties were so much fun! I would also like to write about two individuals in more detail, Gary The Front Desk Manager, Priscilla the Food and Beverage Manager and Freddy SLS Concierge. Gary, you are honestly an incredible human being not just to us Clients, but it has been terrific watching you get along with your Team and Staff. The way you have always gone out of your way to make our stay so outstanding has been striking! You are the reason why our stay has been monumental and I would like to Thank you the most from the bottom of my Heart. You welcomed us every day with a smile and made sure everyone looked after us every single day. Priscilla, you have been an absolute rock throughout our stay with always giving us great advice regarding the Nightlife scene in Miami and thank you for sending us the Bottle of Bubbly. Freddy, your Concierge VIP Service has been remarkable and your knowledge and advice on Restaurants and bookings has been phenomenal. I also want to thank the rest of the SLS Team such as, Natalia, Angie, Edward, Ngozi, Christopher (Katsuya Manager) and Luis for always putting a smile on my Face everyday and making our Stay so spectacular. You have ALL certainly always provided me with the best service and never failed to join in on Team Selfie Pictures. There is only one place I will ever come back to in Miami which is the SLS Southbeach and who ever reads this review needs to do the same. Miss you Guys! SR x

Amazing view, perfect location! All the best clubs were in walking distant. The food was amazing and all the staff were brilliant! Hats off to Freddy who helped us with pretty much everything, from telling us where to go to eat, shop, chill out, clubbing he knew it all. I had an amazing experience at the SLS and highly recommend it.

As Miami Beach residents we often go to the SLS for dinner or drinks; both fantastic, but when our electricity went out after Irma we checked into the hotel for the first time and ended up having the BEST staycation ever. From the moment we pulled in Riley and Bishop were there to help us. A very elegant Mr. Sorpresi (GM?) was there to warmly greet and assist people, as it was their first day reopening after the hurricane. It was amazing to see the staff so eager to be back at work when many of them didn't have power yet in their own homes. Check in was smooth and then we went to Villa 9...This is a super sexy suite overlooking the more peaceful of the two pools. You will still hear a subtle thump of music but it did not bother us, at all and we are not partiers. (It's South Beach; if you want peace and quiet there are beautiful hotels in Bal Harbor) A gorgeous large room with a king bed and a pullout sofa (and the best mini bar I've ever seen) and an absolutely enormous bathroom. Dolbi was very attentive to us at the pool as we relaxed and drank rosè. An attendant even came around with frozen grape kebabs (gratis) which was lovely in the heat. Bar Centro is a casual but sophisticated outdoor bar that we love to sit at in any weather. Chelsea the bartender was very nice. And Katsuya is of course in the top echelon of sushi and never disappoints, David took very good care of us there. We enjoyed the whole experience so much that we stayed one more night after our power had come back on! Thank you SLS for turning a trying time into a joyful respite!

Stayed at the SLS for a week over Labour day weekend. This has been the most flawless stay that I have ever had. The staff are amazing, they are accommodating to all requests. They are extremely lovely to speak to and provide the best service. I definitely recommend booking the ocean view room, which was stunning to wake up to. I read a lot of reviews that the rooms are too small; however we had plenty of space, especially considering we had a lot of baggage. There are two restaurants in the hotel which both recommended. There are two pools that hotel guests can use and sun lounges by the beach, all manned by hotel staff. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend others do the same.
