So I decided to take my mom away for her 60th birthday and I figured why not take her to Miami? And what better way to celebrate than to stay at the SLS? I got in touch with Mel about a week before to let him know we were celebrating something special, and I am SO glad I did because he made sure that him and his staff went above and beyond to not only make us feel like VIP hotel guests, but like FAMILY! The kind of attention you can only get by staying at a beautiful boutique hotel such as the SLS. It’s all in the details! Fernando at the concierge was the sweetest and got us a special dinner reservation that I wasn’t able to make myself. Gary and Natalia were soo welcoming! Everyone really took care of us... a fabulous room upgrade, a surprise bottle of champagne sent up to our room, a very generous late check out. On her actual birthday they set up a special beach cabana for us and PJ & Julien came out with a balloon and more champagne! It was also so nice getting to know Hector. He made us feel like the best guests in his amazing Hyde home! My mom had the BEST birthday and I couldn’t have done it without all of them :) You just can’t beat the vibe at the SLS. The people, the energy, the music, the food... it’s magic! <3

It was my cousin's first time visiting Miami Beach and she was totally amazed by the great service and ambiance SLS Hotel has given us. The in house Katsuya Restaurant Sushi was the freshest we have ever had. The pool parties were great fun with complementary food and drinks. The entire Hotel staff was through and through very friendly and accommodating. A special Thank you goes to Mel Rupert for his wonderful hospitality - we will be back in 2018. Thank you again for letting us feel welcomed and home for 1 week

This hotel is simply beautiful. The location gives direct beach access. My room overlooked the pool area with a slice of beach visible. The hotel rooms are very small but the plush surroundings more that make up for the size limitations. The spacious shower with two shower heads made cleaning up a treat! Within walking distance are numerous restaurants and shops. My party found the staff largely accommodating. Our early arrival was met with a smile and a ready room. We ate breakfast in the outdoor dining area overlooking the pools. The menu was not vast but each item selected by our party of 7 was well prepared. The only issue we encountered was in the back lounge. The waitress left much to be desired with regard to attitude so we left and found another spot for snacks and drinks.

We were sent to this hotel as a replacement for the Raleigh which was still closed post Irma. Wow. Really cool design, inside and out. Yes room was small but we were only there for one night and coped, any longer and might have been a problem. The hotel has a reputation for pool parties on Sundays but we were there Monday and all was quiet. Very expensive, we ate and drank out. Useful courtesy Car we used to get to 1st Street. Ocean Drive and Lincoln Rd both close by and walkable. We enquired about the cost to have late check out which was essentially the cost of another night’s stay so we walked away and the receptionist called us back and gave us a courtesy late check out for an extra 2 hours, so be careful. I can’t give 5 stars due to cost of drinks and food but also some parts of the service let them down eg we asked if they could make a reservation at a restaurant we wanted to go to that evening only to find out when we got there that they don’t take reservations and we hadn’t been told. Only lucky that we managed to get a table when we walked in. we also asked for some ice to be brought up to the room and it never arrived. Is recommend a stay just cos it’s so cool.

Originally booked in The Raleigh only to find out 12 nights before arriving that the hotel would not be open due to hurricane damage. We were disappointed to learn this but after requesting to be moved to the SLS we could not have been happier We arrived early after our drive from Naples and were greeted by really friendly door staff and reception staff who were able to check us in early. When we walked into the lobby it was a WOW moment it is so different to any other hotel we had stayed in on our trip it’s modern it’s quirky it’s bright and full of ‘bling’ We got the same reaction when we walked into our room and when we went out to the pool and bat areas Whilst the room is small by American standards it’s the norm WiFi and beach or pool chairs and towels come as part of the resort fee as is a courtesy car to take you where you want to go which we used to get to Ocean Drive We were able to get a complimentary late check out till 1pm which helped as our flight was not until 5.30 Only spent 24 hours at the hotel but The memories will last a lot longer
