Reviews for Soho Beach House
I disliked the incongruous chalet interiors of the club areas when I first visited many years ago, but have grown to love them. Of all of the Soho Houses this is my favorite, boho off duty Brits, rub shoulders with pneumatic locals and New York media to create an unlikely, but implausibly charming, cocktail. The Soho House blend of artfully pre-patinated design transports surprisingly well to South Beach, the rooms are comfortable and eclectic, you can hang-out on the bar / restaurant deck all day and not bored, though if you do the Beach Club is a short stumble across the boardwalk and is remarkable for it insouciant charm and human theater. I have often lain on the beach idly trying to work out how much I would need to make to live in the penthouse suite for 3 months each winter.....which says it all.
Last of a 3 night stay.....I love the whole Soho House concept and brand and have many times stayed/eaten at many different houses but it's so sad to see how an uber cool brand had become a tired, shabby old kids club. The whole house is really showing it's age...the shabbiness fits the image but the damage and dirtiness is just unacceptable.....the pool is completely overrun with young kids , it's impossible to just chill and relax(yes they have a roof top bar and plunge pool but that's not for swimming) right now it's 4.30pm and there are 12 adults and 12 screaming kids between the ages of 2-10yrs....the noise is deafening!...the issue is as a hotel it just doesn't work as the place is dominated by members and their children...there are supposed to be strict house rules but clearly no one if following them or enforcing them....I'd give the place zero rating except the staff are great, room (despite furniture damage etc) is very comfortable and relaxing) and somehow I still have this affinity to Soho House

I was recommended by a colleague to try the breakfast , as part of the hotel you access the lobby to get to the restaurant which is set in a courtyard Seven of us turned up , it was a warm Florida morning I liked the style and decor of the lobby and the restaurant one of the Freindly and smartly dressed waiting staff showed us to our table Some had the buffett I decided on the full English breakfast with eggs over easy apart from my eggs being hard on the inside and not runny the breakfast was well presented and tasty, eggs sausage, bacon ( crispy american style) beans ,mushrooms and brown toast . Lots off attentive waiting staff , stylish crockery and coffee pots and not expensive very nice location and good service My first time eating there I would go again

Between the food, the atmosphere/music, it was definitely a Sunday fun-day. Can't wait to come back. Loved the fact they had an adults only area on the rooftop. Away from the families downstairs and watching the sunset just made the whole thing great.

This hotel is living on past glory and a seriously undeserved reputation, I'm afraid. Tired rooms, poor customer service (restaurant, pool side and especially house-keeping), definitely time for a bit of a face lift.
