Reviews for The Tides South Beach 1
We ended up visiting South Beach during spring break while in the area with our teens. The staff welcomed us to park in front and to even use the bathroom. We were also offered a discount on our meal as if we were full guests. A posh place with an eclectic feel The Tides staff was very solicitous and even was incredibly welcoming with our teens. Who !were excited and overwhelmed by spring break. The neighborhood bars and restaurants were packed and music was pumping out everywhere. So even if staying or visiting quieter Tides you are just steps away from an energetic night scene. Especially during spring break.

Just back from one of the best holidays ever - and the highlight was 6 days in the Amber Suite at Tides. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very special. The staff looked out for us. We asked on the first day if they would make our room up while we were at breakfast - every morning after that, when we went for breakfast they asked did we want our room done. The restaurant manager was friendly and ensured we were well looked after at breakfast, at dinner, or if we just had drinks on the terrace. The suite was stunning - and huge. Yes, you can lie in the bath and watch the beach. Yes, it really is 900 sq foot of space. The balcony was nice - I would have put a second umbrella and may be a dining table and chairs as there was space. But the room was luxurious. This was our most expensive holiday in a long time - and worth every penny. We cannot recommend this place enough.

Great hotel and very central. Great coffee and muffins in the reception in the morning. Service excellent. It resides next door to a drag queen club. It's noisy but after all, you are in South Beach. If you are a light sleeper and go to bed early this is not for you. The noise does quieten down and the beds are the best for comfort. Note that as the sun rises, so will you without a eye mask. No blackout blinds.......I think it's the wicker blinds they use. Full of gaps in our room. Great view though! I would visit again. The positive outweigh the few negatives. Remember, this is the party area....south beach baby!
Spent part of a South Florida w/e at The Tides. Warmly welcomed by the staff who spent the entire time ensuring our stay was pleasant. Still one of the nicest period hotels on Ocean Drive b/c it's smaller and more intimate. Might be due for a bit of a refresh w some new lighting and a bit of polish. Everything about the w/e was great - the weather helped but the overall experience was great fun.

We decided to have a drink here after visiting as part of the walking tour run by the Art Deco preservation organisation. The architecture and decor are very iconic and stylish, our guide had told us interesting anecdotes about previous guests, so a cocktail named Miss Marilyn was enticing and delicious.
