Excellent Hotel and REAL football can be seen in the Bar area! The rooms are big and it is in an excellent area. The Bar next door can be a little loud, but it's not that intrusive. The staff are very friendly

We can not give any higher recommendation for a hotel than we can for our stay at The Tides! Our experience staying here could not have been more perfect starting from the the moment we exited our car and were greeted by the first accommodating staff members of this excellent hotel. First class service from the initial check in to our last fair wells upon our departure. If you are looking to stay at the best hotel and location on South Beach then look no further because there is absolutely no better place to stay. Our very spacious and well appointed room was more than we ever expected. The views out of the room's large windows of South Beach were fantastic. You get it all. You will see South Beach's Lummus Park, beach and ocean in a spectacular way when staying at The Tides. Consider reserving a higher floor for the even better views. With all of this said the most impressive aspect of our stay were the incredible staff members who went above and beyond great service to make every moment of our stay wonderful and comfortable. The hotels employees are as good as it gets whether it be the valet, the desk clerks, the bar staff, the head of maintenance, the waiters, the housekeepers, the reservationists and every one else. This hotel is very well managed and it made our time there superbly memorable. The Tides is located right in the middle of South Beach and is an Art Deco architectural gem highly regarded by locals. Most all of the Art Deco walking tours include this hotel as one of their finest examples of this style. This hotel is a welcoming oasis of calm and beauty in the lively and colorful South Beach District. We will gladly return here any time we visit Miami!

I spent a few nights here on a business trip. The decor in the rooms definitely scream "I'm in Miami", but that's ok! Really liked the huge room. Hotel is located on a very touristy strip, which makes for an interesting scene at night. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was good.

As in a previous review or two above The Tides is located between 2 louder establishments but do you really come to Miami Beach for the peace and quiet? The staff was just AMAZING! From the greeters to the housekeepers! I can't say enough about the staff!!!! And to me, that WAY over compensates for the additional noise. You can get a bed anywhere but how you are treated is what's is important! The bartenders love their jobs and were excited to create drinks to please our separate tastes! We had fun with them:) Rooms were kept clean and neat on our schedule...early, late whatever....would stay here again no doubt!!!!!

This is a really tough review - the hotel is beautiful, the rooms are enormous, the view is stunning, a great bar, very good service, a true art deco gem...but the noise, wow, the noise. There is a really raucous bar next door and if you're not into dance music, watch out! The pool is a mixed bag - it was really private - but it is on a mid-roof so lots of shade much of the day and not a ton of ambience. One feature of the hotel that is really nice - their terrace is set back a bit off of Collins and so you can sit outside, enjoy a drink and watch the world go by - I would definitely stay here again if I was in Miami solely to party - but if that's not your aim I'd suggest heading a bit further north.
