The Villa Casa Casuarina, the former home of Gianni Versace, has been transformed into an elegant Miami Beach retreat. Built in 1930, the mansion has the designer's touch throughout, and is a mix of Spanish and Italian influences coupled with opulent details. The Ocean Drive manor-turned-boutique-hotel features just 10 suites showcasing rich and vibrant hues with only the finest of furnishings displayed. Lounge by the legendary mosaic pool or slip behind the curtain of a luxury beachfront cabana. Sunset cocktails are best enjoyed in the Observatory lounge overlooking the glistening Atlantic Ocean. Casa Casuarina also features a trio of sultry lounges including one for cigar aficionados. Guests can enjoy culinary specialties atop the upper terrace with views of the tropical gardens. The acclaimed fine dining establishment Loftin's 1116 Ocean, with its detailed stone mosaic, adds an element of drama to your meals. It is easy to envision the likes of Madonna or Elton John supping here during Versace's celebrated reign.

We stayed in the superior suite and the room was amazing, the bed was huuuuuge and really comfortable, the bathroom was clean and we loved the shower with two shower heads. All the staff were really nice especially Talia who helped us check in and upgrade from the regular suite to the superior suite. The food at Giannis is also really good. It was cool to stay in a place with a history like this one. Overall it was an excellent experience!

We stayed at Villa Casa Casuarina. It was a great experience, staff and service was great, especially Talia at the hotel front desk was very so sweet and helpful. We stayed in Gianni Versace's suite, and that was something, with a bed the size of a helicopter landing pad, twin showers for two and myriads of small rooms. We also had lunch, very tasty and again, nice service. Highly recommended, very special experience

This is an expensive place for a unique experience. Large suites with over the top decor. A beautiful restaurant with above average cuisine. Friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately our experience was marred by loud music from the restaurant and from the lobby until 10:30 to 11:00 PM. It was supposed to stop at 10:30, but one night it continued until after 11:00. It took two calls to the front desk to get music stopped. Because this we would not return.

The hotel is spectacularly gorgeous and the room was extraordinarily beautiful. The swimming pool is breathtaking. This is the former Giannii Versace mansion in South Beach. Bathroom was similarly beautiful. BUT it is really more of a restaurant and club than a hotel. Noisy at night with techno music when we were there Lots of activity. The pool is served by only four lounge chairs and is the backdrop for the restaurant, which gets quite busy. No one was in the water. But gorgeous I do recommend the restaurant (lunch, dinner) but the hotel aspect was secondary.
