My wife and I booked a rooftop suite for 4 nights on the recommendation of a family member who stayed at this hotel maybe 10 years ago. I should have looked closer at the reviews. Upon check in we realized the hotel was dated. Clearly we were concerned with what the room looked like. We rented a rooftop suite and immediately noticed the room was dated but clean and spacious. We were excited to see the rooftop, but were immediately disappointed. The jacuzzi was disgusting. It was dirty and stains all over the inside. Unusable! The rest of the rooftop was also in disrepair with rust and basically nothing worked up there. The pool area was nice but the staff was inattentive with the exception of Valentina who tried her best. At the bar they couldn’t even make blended drinks because the blender didn’t work. Just a suggestion, buy a new one! Upon checkout we told the hotel manager how we felt. He did his best to try to explain the situation. What he said was disturbing. He said the room we received was not remodeled yet and acted surprised that we stayed there. He explained that they remodeled the beachside rooms but not ours. Then why is it available?? He did credit us which was appreciated but it was only the resort fee that we were unaware of. The staff in general was very nice and location is convenient. There’s plenty of boutique hotels in the area. My suggestion is do your due diligence. I don’t normally fill out reviews but I felt I had to so others don’t feel the way we did.

I highly recommend the ZOcean Resort. The location is fantastic. Located directly across from South Beach at 15th and one walking block from cute dining and cafes . The staff is highly engaged and accommodating. We love it and will continue to come back.

The rooms are large and well laid out. It’s at a great location on Miami Beach! The staff is very friendly …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….200 minimum characters achieved!!

It was just as pictured and described! Mr G at the front desk was so welcoming and warm. They even offered champagne at check in. Cleaning staff was friendly and courteous . The penthouse suite was COMPLETELY private. I will be back for sure my next stay and more .

The Z Ocean hotel is a lovely gem in very central Miami Beach. We arrived somewhat late and were met by 2 gorgeous Labradoodles at reception (and also reception staff! :) ) The check in process was very smooth and we were given a lovely and really spacious room (thank you!!) It most definitely changes the experience when you have some room to move within the room! The amenities are great with modern facilities, comfortable bed and large shower. The hotel has a cafe serving a nice breakfast menu on street level, whereby you do receive a voucher to use per day person, which we found to be excellent and very convenient. The hotel is in a fantastic location. A short walk away to Espanola way, Lincoln road and of course the beach! The beach is a 2 minute walk across the road. Any which way you turn from the hotel, you will be met by cafes and restaurants and the hustle and bustle of Miami Beach. We really enjoyed our time and would stay here again.
