Amazing experience at the Biltmore bar

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

I spent the evening at the Biltmore hotel in Coral Gables, Florida. The Biltmore bar is spectacular thanks to their incredible staff. Mitchell, Richard, Carlos, Jeffrey and Octavio were incredible. The best cocktails and best service in town. They were slammed at the bar but were still incredibly welcoming and not only made delicious drinks but their suggestions were on point. I strongly recommend this place to anyone visiting Miami. Service 10/10 drinks 10/10… amazing experience! Biltmore bar is a must for anyone visiting Miami.

WOW! This hotel is absolutely gorgeous! We only stayed here one night as we were traveling through and I'm already trying to figure out when we can go back so we can spend some time by the pool and play some golf. It was AMAZING! You can't go wrong staying here!

Biltmore Coral Gables.

I had the honor of being invited here and getting a facility tour. Although originally this was marketed as a family gathering, I quickly realized this was a performance. A for a show well done. I commend the performance that the Biltmore puts on for its guests. The staff know how to play their roles. Even the waitress knows how to make sure you feel like an outsider. I am grateful for this experience. It was a beautiful illumination, revealing true colors of life in an upscale environment.

Beautiful property, Ugly service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights to celebrate her birthday, eat at the restaurants, hang by the pool and golf. We booked a suit with a balcony over looking the golf course. The grounds and common areas are fantastic. The room was beautiful. Decorated nicely with comfortable furnishing and a nice set up. But there’s no service in this hotel. The vast majority of the staff simply couldn’t be bothered. I don’t expect Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons service, but I was definitely hoping for something better than a Comfort Inn on the side of the highway. Our balcony was cozy, but unfortunately there was a wasp nest nearby which made being on the balcony uncomfortable. We mentioned the wasps to the front desk but they shrugged it off and provided no assistance or solutions. Upon arrival the bellman just watched as we unloaded our car. When I asked for a luggage cart he finally asked if we needed help. We had golf bags and a large suitcase so it was very obvious we did. He pushed the cart over but failed to load anything on it. It also took almost 30 min to get the bags up to our room. My biggest problem was housekeeping. It’s a big reason we stay at a hotel vs an Airbnb. We played golf on our first morning, but we had showered for dinner the night before and also before golf in the morning. I let the front desk know we’d like housekeeping during the 5 hours we were out. We arrived to our room post golf in exactly the same condition we left it. We called the front desk to enquire about housekeeping (again) and ask for towels at least. There was no apology, and the towels didn’t come for almost an hour. We again asked for housekeeping before we left for dinner and was told housekeeping stops at 5:30. After some back and forth they said they’d make an exception. When we came back from dinner we just found more towels. They didn’t take the trash or even spruce up the room. The pool service was also awful. The guy manning the towel station was far more interested in talking to his fellow employees then helping any of the guests. It also took several attempts to flag down the waiter. We made light of it with a woman who is there for her wedding. All of us ended up walking over to the restaurant to get drinks ourselves. When we came back to the pool, we were told we couldn’t do that, but nobody ever came to take our order - even after all of that. I was hoping maybe it was just an off day for Service, but day two was more of the same at the pool. All in all, it’s a beautiful property with ugly service. If you don’t want housekeeping, bell service or anyone to interact with you or provide assistance, this is your spot. *We did receive lovely service from the waitress at the fountain restaurant, which was nice.

Excellent customer service at the Front Desk

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Nicole (Nicky) and Christian at the Front Desk of the Biltmore were the key to a good stay! Upon check-in, when the first room we were assigned wasn't to our liking, these 2 incredibly hospitable and understanding people immediately sought solutions for us...investigating alternative rooms; showing us several other options, and then ultimately matching us with an excellent one...with a terrace; quiet and a good view. So....thanks, Nicky, and thanks,Christian, for persevering and making it happen. They are standard bearers for good customer service.
