Lovely hotel but be careful if you haven't booked direct with the hotel. We stayed here the night before we boarded a cruise. 4 couples and a family of 3. I booked 3 double rooms through & there was the option to have either a king sized bed or 2 double beds., I requested 2 doubles in each room. When we arrived at the hotel I was told that all of the rooms with double beds had been taken and I had 3 rooms with king sized beds. I am good friends with the other couples but not that close! The hotel said they often have problems with beds for people who haven't booked directly through them. The only solution the hotel would offer was to put a roll out bed in each of the rooms. This was fine for the family of 3 as they would each have a bed but for the other 4 couples it meant a bed for 1 couple a roll out bed for 1 person & the floor for the other person. The rooms were very spacious but the hotel would not put 2 roll out beds in each room so that everyone had a bed. In the end we resorted to taking the cushions off the chair that was in the room and sleeping on the floor. It took 3 hours for the rooms to be allocated and the roll out beds taken to them. I was very disappointed at the service we had received as the hotel were aware that 4 people were to be staying in 2 of the rooms but there was only beds for 2 of them. We made the best of the situation and checked out the next morning. When we returned to the UK I was surprised to see 3 separate charges from the hotel on my credit card so queried it with them. I received feedback that the charge was for the 3 roll out beds that they had provided. Had the hotel advised us of this charge when we checked out we could have dealt with it at the time but as it was it took several emails to resolve the matter and for the hotel to refund the charges. They couldn't see why I was objecting to paying extra for a bed that I had already paid for when 2 of our party had had to sleep on the floor.

From the second we arrived we were treated like we were VIP clients, which we certainly are not. We actually were in town to drop my son off at college. This hotel is incredible, and every person in every department is super helpful and always smiling. From the first day they were calling me by name. Some amenities I know you will love are; The pool because it is relaxing and beautiful. The fitness center has the best equipment I have ever seen. There is even a bowling alley, pool table, other table games, a golf room that actually has cameras set up to help coach you with your swing, now come on who has that. There is literally something for everyone. The spa is serene and sif you are like Tara me and have chronic pain the inferred sauna and massage is heaven scent. I don't care how picky you are, there is still something for everyone in this hotel, and my children absolutely love it! The restaurants have great food, and room service was fast and tasted great. They even asked if we wanted a refrigerator for the room and when it took them a little longer than they expected they sent champaign and macaroons! Omg were they good! The view of the inter coastal from the room was breathtaking, and there are pictuque views of boats, yachts and sunsets. What else could a girl want? This is a great place for business travelers or to go for a weekend. I can assure you, you will not be disappointed. I am positive! I can tell you I have stayed at several Ritz hotels and this by far outweighed them. I was very very pleasantly surprised! If I had to sum it up in one word I would have to say incredible! I love this place, and I would love to give it more stars if it were possible. Thank you all the staff for a wonderful weekend and for the wonderful massage therapist at the spa for staying after her shift to take me and give me the most relaxing treatment ever because it helped so much.

I stayed here while attending the Ultra Music Festival. It was the perfect location as it is a mere 5 minutes walk to Bay Front Park, which is where the Festival takes place. Outside of the great location, the rooms are also very spacious and comfortable. My partner and I actually got upgraded to a suite as we are Platinum Elite Marriott members. I can't say enough how amazing this room was - incredibly spacious, comfortable bed, and a truly amazing view. The valet service however was quite slow, even though we did call approximately 20 minutes before departing the hotel. We were however understanding of the delay as this was quite a busy weekend for the hotel. All in all, would definitely return!

The mattress is amazing. Plenty of services at the hotel, including virtual bowling. Room had a great view of the bay. Entry is tight and hidden. Uber drivers are not very familiar with hotel valet/driveway and drove past hotel several times.

This was my first stay at the JW Marriott Marquis and let me say it will definitely not be my last. Not only did hotel staff go above and beyond to make my stay the best experience I've had in Miami but they genuinely were happy to help. This was my first time Miami celebrating one of the greatest accomplishments in my career as a lawyer and I was beyond impressed by the staff and their eagerness to make my stay truly memorable. In particular Taryn, Andres and Nestor went above and beyond to make our stay a true celebration that I will never forget! Whether you're in Miami for business for pleasure the hotel staff will accommodate all of your requests. They have the best knowledge on local spots along with the best tourist destinations. They also offer great deals. I can honestly say that they provided better service then most well known hotels around the country. I usually prefer to travel to Vegas when I take vacation but Miami might be my new favorite spot due to the staff at JW Marriott Marquis.
