Well situated though the one way streets in the area can be a little daunting as the turn lanes are separated from the other lanes by islands so if you’re not in the correct lane it means going around the block again and during rush hour it’s painful. Rooms were excellent decor and size. The illy coffee maker needs instructions if you’ve never used one ( there’s a small button on the back besides the one you have to keep depressed in the front). Didn’t eat there so can’t comment on the food.

We stayed for two nights and were very impressed with the hotel. Firstly the parking valet was something we had never encountered and thought this was fantastic. The receptionist I can only assume was new and would give her benefit of the doubt about the speed of check in and whether there was a room actually ready, as she kept changing her mind. The room was large, we have stayed in London and for the same price you would get a tiny basic room. Bed was comfortable, bathroom wonderful and lovely smelling amenities, and a tv in the bathroom too! There was even a turndown service included. For the price I think the hotel was fantastic, brilliant location, room great and the pool looked great, just a shame we didn’t have time to use it.

Beautiful quiet hotel with luxury vibe. As a Gold member i was upgraded to a corner executive King room on a conceirge level. The rooms are spacious and also the bathroom. Continental breakfast at conceirge level is basic. They also give out snacks and there is an honor bar in the conceirge lounge. Conceirge lounge itself is nice with great views. The hotel is in downtown about 20 mins from South beach. The hotel has more of a buisness vibe, but it was pleasure trip for me and i had a great time.

Ok, the music was probably for the gala event they were hosting but I’m gonna pretend it was for me :-). A lovely corner king suite with all the bells and whistles you expect. Most of all, my Marriott bed. They are SO comfortable, it is a surpise I get anything done on these business trips. It was disconcerting to have to live tv news in the elevators and in public bathrooms. Personally, I would prefer the weather channel :-). This was my first trip to MIA and the JW made a great impression.

I travel on a weekly basis and spend easily 150 nights a year in a hotel room. My stay at this hotel is by far the BEST hotel experience I have had in years. My wife and I are local to the South Fl area, but decided to celebrate our 8 year anniversary close to home and stay in a nice hotel close to downtown Miami. Upon check in Niko behind the counter was very welcoming and went over all of the amenities of the hotel and even offered to extend my late checkout. Michael Ramirez is the Concierge at this hotel and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and special. I initially called him to see if he could arrange flowers to be sent to the room which he coordinated down to the last detail on very short notice. Even offering to go to purchase the flowers himself if he could not contact the florist. When finding out it was our anniversary he even had champagne and some deserts sent to the room to our pleasant surprise when we returned from dinner. He even checked on me as he saw me in the lobby to see if there was anything else he could do. Michael definitely cares about his guests and takes pride in his craft. Fantastic hotel, fantastic service!!
